M177FW MFP non-standard paper sizes

Hi all

I use libreoffice on windows and linux (Mint ubuntu and debian testing) and sometimes I have to print on formats very non standard: 102 * 333 mm

It's a huge pain decent print on such a document: y at - it an easy solution, especially for linux?

yesterday, I noticed that, after some 50 prints on such a format, printer stop before each draw for cool, even if it didn't work or was turned off for minutes: is this normal?

Thank you

  • How can I change a PDF of legal size to a standard paper size?

I scanned a two-sided form, landscape mode to make a PDF file, and then inserted many fields in form.  The PDF file displays a sheet of legal-size, oriented as portrait (big empty space on one end).  How I removed extra space to get a form that print correctly?  What I have to do turn whenever I open it, or can I change the shape of the landscape from the beginning?

You can crop the size of the page Acrobat help. Crop pages PDF to remove the space white & printing, choose the option 'Fit' in layout.

  • Acrobat 9 Standard lack of paper sizes.

I recently had Acrobat 9 Standard installed on my work computer.  Previously, I had CS4 with Acrobat Pro installed but had to transfer the license to a colleague.  I am now frustrated because all page sizes I use generally disappeared.  Fo all sizes Arch and Ansi are missing.  In the Printing Preferences dialog box I tried to add a new page called arch E1 size and I got an error saying "not authorized to change the system, or the defined printer paper size (Arch E1).  Only user-defined paper size can be modified or deleted. "Apparently, acrobat knows that Arch E1 is a standard paper size, but its not available in the selection of paper size menu.  I can go and do a lot of new custom paper sizes and give them alternative names, but it's a bit frustrating to have to go through and set up my own paper sizes when Acrobat already knows that they exist.  I guess my question is how can I get Acrobat 9 Standard to view the Ark and Ansi paper sizes?

Unfortunately, this is only available when you use the Pro. version of Acrobat.

  • Make a PDF of non-standard size of Microsoft Word 2003 on pc

I have Acrobat 8 Professional (pc, operating system Windows XP) and want to know how to make a pdf from Microsoft Word (2003) where the size of my document remain as they are, a non-standard size, such as 5.5 "x 8.5". All the choices of "paper size" is standard, and if I check "Custom" and type the non-standard dimensions, it does not work. In other programs, such as InDesign, I can make a pdf to any size of document I want without any problem. Does anyone know how to make this work for Word on pc?

You can create a customized for Acrobat page size.

    In Word:

    1. File > print (choose AdobePDF) > Properties.
    2. On the Properties of the Document Adobe PDF tab, choose Add beside the size of Page Adobe PDF.
    3. Type a name for your new custom page size and type in your dimensions.
    4. Click Add/change to close this window, and then select your newly created in the drop-down list paper size.
    5. Click Ok to close this window
    6. Click OK to print

For a later printing, you may not redefine the page, simply choose from the menu drop down.

  • Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP that gives the message 'unexpected paper size ".

In recent months, when I print a set of envelopes, after EACH envelope my printer gives me a message "unexpected paper size".  This forces me to press the 'OK' button to continue to the next task.  After that, the printer goes into a long routine of 'cleaning up' before printing the next envelope.

The printer is behaving that way when it was new.  He started to do this only in the last few months.  If I print an envelope, between two printing on standard paper 8 1/2 "x 11" does not display the "unexpected paper size".

And by the way, what is the problem with HP, saying that the cat is not available for my product and support pages e-mail not recognizing my product number?  Just because a machine is a couple of years, HP is going to abandon me entirely to my own when it malfunctions?

    Fixed it myself.

I have restored the default settings, and the problem disappeared.  Press the "Setup" button, then choose "Service, Restore Defaults".

Unfortunately, these forums seem pretty useless.

  • CLJ CP2025 setting paper size

Anyone having success prints 5 x 7 cards on the CP2025? I tried to create custom forms for 5 x 7 and change the parameters inside the printer (in several places) drivers. I noticed on the device control panel, there is a setting for the size of the paper, but the only options are letter, legal and A4. The marketing on this unit makes it a great unit for small businesses in marketing of literature but other that 8.5 x 11 prints I can't make it work on a non-standard size. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I found the solution to the problem. I used the universal print driver for Postscript and it worked very well. For some reason it wouldn't print at all with the UPD to PCL6.

  • Personalized with Deskjet 4620 paper sizes

    Hi all!

I currently have problems printing to a custom on my Deskjet 4620 size document.  In my country, the legal size is measured in 8.5 "x 13".  Unfortunately my printer does not support custom paper size print.

I tried you are looking for a room and speak to an agent of technical support, but the closer, I went to a solution uses a 6980 driver - who has done print legal paper with the correct margins, BUT screwed up the colors (ie. in Photoshop and MS PPT, it prints images colored B & W ones).

Can someone help me with this? I thank very you much in advance!

Right click on the printer in the Printers folder and select Printing Preferences. Set the size of the page to legal... 8.5x13 is a standard size for legal. It should not need to set a custom size

  • M651dn: with manual duplex printing only the paper size custom

    Hello

I have a strange problem with several HP printers in my office (cp4525dn, 401dne, M651dn).

Automatic duplex printing works as usual if I use plain paper A4 format.

But when I use a custom paper size (21 x 21 cm), then the 'duplex manual' appears on the screen with the information I need to deliver the document again.

It's strange. -That someone has an idea if this could be a bug or it's 'normal '. But automatic duplex should work too much here, I think. What you mean?

It makes no difference if or USB-connected to the local network. I also tried different drivers, without success.

    Thank you very much

    Daniel

According to the manual the User Guide Laserjet Pro 400 M401 , automatic duplex printing is not supported for custom paper sizes.

It goes the same for my printer LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M475dn .

I guess the same applies also to CP4525dn and M651dn models.

  • Tips for the TCP wait of asynchronous Messages with non-standard expression tanks

    Hi all

I have a PITA instrument that I need to communicate with in a system of greater control.  This instrument communicates via RS232 to a server running on the PC OEM application.  In order to communicate with the instrument, I have to use the TCP protocol on a specific port on Localhost - So far so good as long the protcol is answer command.

The problem is that the instrument sends several messages asynchronously of different sizes with a double newline as a tank of termination (there are many CR/LFS all these messages so that they cannot be a MOE) and I am struggling to find a way to manage receive asynchronous messages of variable length with a cusom CHARACTER term. without having simply a fast dedicated for TCP loop reads trying to catch these asynchronous status messages.

I wish the functions VISA TCP has worked with the local host, given that the properties that can be set to change the chariot of non-standard term.

    Open to suggestions-

    Thank you

    Ronin

Yes, I'll be streaming in my own string buffer and then to choose the messages out of the buffer when you find the stop character.

A technique to improve performance, rather than reading a single byte at a time is to use the "immediate" on reading TCP mode and use a high value for the "bytes read" - in this way, it will return all of the data that is there without waiting for all the specified bytes or the time-out. He will wait only the full timeout if 0 bytes are received (which you can ignore) - set to a low value such as 100ms.

  • HP Laserjet M401A: HP Laserjet M401A not will mark the different paper size and tray on the printer properties

    Hello all.

I have a custom paper size in question and the plateau in the properties of this printer.

I would like to implement three different printers on the same port, to print directly on a specific tray (without going into the properties of the printer and select the appropriate tray and size).

I have this printer with the additional third tray.

I implemented the A4 in the Tray 1 (bypass), a custom size in tray 2 and 3 on the printer.

When I enter the printer PROPERTIES I want to set up the paper size in tray 2 and 3 value. No question.

The only sizes I see is 13 x 8, a4, a5, letter, legal and so on (there are choices may 7).

    So, I choose NON SPECIFIC.

When I go to printer PREFERENCES, I can set up my custom paper size.

But when I choose my custom paper size, tray 2 and 3 go away and I can choose only bypass or Tray 1.

If I attributed to A5 (for example) the tray 2 and 3 re - appear.

How is that possible? where I'm wrong?

Thank you very much, any help would be appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Luca.

    Hi Luca,

That is expected, custom paper sizes are supported only on tray 1.

Tray 2 and 3 are supported specific sizes of paper.

You my find graphics of the following as a reference, it lists a paaper supported size for each tray:

  • Officejet 7612 paper size difference

    Hello

Recently, I got the "Paper Size Mismatch" error on my printer Officejet 7612 large-format.

I don't understand where that came from and impossible to find a solution to fix it. I use the same paper ~ standard 8.5 "x 11" printer paper ~ and I have always used programs. Have not changed the settings in the software I use to print and even uninstalled and reinstalled the software and drivers on the HP site.

I have even been able to print a document today without problem, then without changing anything, tried printing the same document and got this error. There is no way to work around this error and print documents. Normally, I choose the option of the letter in the drop size of paper. But tried also to A4 and legal with the same results.

Is someone can you please tell me if there is a fix for this. I see a lot of complaints about this error, but not a lot with this printer model.

    Thank you

    -Dean-

I think I discovered why I get error mismatch paper size.

I use Paint.net to edit and print images and recently installed a plugin pack for additional editing options. The instructions said to drag the .dll files in the effects folder where Paint.net is installed. I didn't have the link, but it was around this time that I started getting errors.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Paint.net and used a good installer to add the .dll file in the program folder. I have not received the error since.

I thought it was important to mention this for people who have been recently installed or updated a program, or use Paint.net as their image editor. Thank you all for your comments and advice.
