M6-1207tx of the HP Envy keypad backlight

Hi all

I have the laptop next and need to know if I can get an upgrade so that my keyboard is backlit?

HP Envy m6-1207tx running Windows 8 (64-bit)

I bought the laptop 7 days ago from JbHiFi and their data sheet sent to HP indicates that the laptop is backlit.

Any need, I bought the laptop and just now realized that it IS NOT HAVE a BACKLIT KEYBOARD!

I called HP support and they told me to go to the store, the store told me to call HP and round and round we go again.

In an effort to save my time, so I need to know if there is a solution to my problem? An upgrade? I'm not sure if this is even possible?

Thanking you in advance.

Hello

This is the form officially:

http://WWW8.HP.com/au/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?OID=5358805

and this:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03647914

The machine doesn't have a backlit keyboard, you can always keep the JBHiFi add? And the bad news is it cost lot upgrade because you will need to purchase the TWO keyboard and the motherboard (the one that has all the connectors for all the lights on the keyboard).

I hope this helps.

  • HP Envy 15 t-j000 Quad Edition: screws fell off the bottom of the HP ENVY

Hello. Anyone know the size and type of the screws from the bottom of the HP Envy 15 t-j000 Quad Edition ? These are the small screws that hold the bottom cover of the laptop basically. Somehow mine fell and it is causing many problems. The tilt is extremely limited to a specific position. Disturb the position of the laptop while it is will cause a weird vibration because of the fan on the left side.

If someone could let me know what is size and the type of screws used to lower cover , and where I could find them, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

  • The HP Envy 17 line t there 2-Bay SATA or SATA 1 and mSATA?

The line has Envy 17 t 2 drive bays?  If so, is it 2-Bay SATA or 1 SATA and 1 mSATA? In addition, on the hardware selection screen:

If I choose this option, you guys at HP will install Windows on the SSD, instead of on the hard drive?  I found 256GB SSD which is much cheaper than $295, but I searched and found that HP has apparently put a restriction on the BIOS that prevents you from booting from an internal hard drive that you have added.

EDIT: Maybe I could also get the 256 GB SSD and add my own hard drive.  But I still need to know if she has 2 SATA or 1 SATA and 1 mSATA.

  • The HP ENVY 17-j120us there sata iii?

I think to put the HP ENVY 17-j120us and could not find if it is SATA-III or not, and if it comes with a quad core. I read that some lower Core i7 comes with core duo.

On another note. My HP EliteBook 8730w is SATA-II and I use an Intel SSD 520, which is capable of SATA III, someone knows it if I can wipe my SSD, then paste it into the new laptop and have it clocked at SATA-III? Is it that simple? Note also that I have the system of operating full W7, so no problem on this end.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • GeForce GTX 770 runs on the HP Envy Phoenix 810SE?

I am considering buying the HP Envy Phoenix 810SE and I want to configure it with the i7 - 4930K (optional) Hexacore and 2 GB of Nvidia GeForce GTX (optional) 770. However, the power of this model is only a low 500 watts - however the recommended minimum power for the 770 according to Nvidia GTX is 600 Watts it consumes typical of 230 watts.

My question is how this platform may run the card at all?

I mean I'll take Hexacore i7 - 4930K which consumes 105 watt just by itself, add in 2 hdd (35 watt) as well as a dvd player + motherboard and memory. I don't see how this configuration may work.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    Hello

power max is just what components are going to shoot when they are maxxed out.

You can get away with running this solution, but if the execution of some heavy games can draw more power than the system can handle.

If this is the case, you may need to upgrade the power supply.

on the drives, you can run an SSD that will consume less energy than your spinning disks.
