Mac Migration problem

I bought a new macbook and migrated my old. I get a message that creative cloud is missing or damaged, and I need to install a new creative cloud. When I start the download again it tells me there is a problem and a new version is necessary and is sending me to download another copy. Stuck in this loop.

Uninstall, run the cleanup tool.  Then try to reinstall.  Use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

  • Photoshop Elements migration to new Mac Air problem

I got the following error "150:30" when you start PE up immediately after using the App's Migration to migrate data and applications of old MacBook to new MacAir. I can't reinstall the PE software I bought in drive setup and MacAir has no internal disk drive. Any suggestions for how to get PE at startup? I have the serial number on the box?

You can never, never, never migrate in the installed copy of the PSE. ESP is not a package tidy like most mac applications; its installer place stuff all over your hard drive in many places where neither you nor the migration assistant can find them. You should always install a new copy on a new machine. Now, you did a lot more work for yourself.

You must download and run this:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/CS5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

after which you will need to go to and manually remove all the bits you can find not only applications, but also your hard drive > library > application support of > adobe and your username > library > Preferences. To view the user's library, click on the menu go to the Finder and hold down the Option key. It appears under the small house for your user account. Since you tried to run PES you will also need to go into the folder of the saved state of the Application and to remove what anyone for the EP.

The other library, one at the top level of your hard drive, is not hidden, but it is difficult to obtain. If you need assistance, after the return.

After doing all that you can reinstall the PES from scratch.

  • The profile from PC to Mac migration failed.

I recently made the switch from PC to Mac and can't get my Firefox data migrated. I prefer to be able to transfer the profile if possible (instead of using the synchronization), because the sync transfer my modules. The information that I find in the knowledge base seem to date, so I don't know what the problem is.

I was using the latest version of Firefox on Windows 7. I am now using MacOS Yosemite (regardless of the version that is; I don't am not very savvy Mac yet). I copied the entire Mozilla from AppData folder and crushed the Mozilla folder on my Mac with it, but Firefox is acting like I did nothing - I still have just a basic, clean install. I don't know why it is not reading the data that I copied, because I copied this, INI files and everything.

Profiles.ini should be compatible, but the structure of folders on Mac is maybe different on Mac.

Also be sure to check the permissions of files and folders (read/write access).

You should find the file profiles.ini in this hidden place:

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      * C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/

It is always better to let Firefox create a new default profile (delete profiles.ini to force a new default profile) and copy only the minimum of files.

  • Mini Mac has problems with Photoshop CC?

I use a Mac mini (end of 2014)...

    2.8 GHz Intel Core i5

    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

    Iris 1536 MB Intel

    10.10.5 Yosemite

I did a lot of testicles and Adobe Photoshop 2014 and 2015 CC CC crashes a lot.

Is a random problem which makes freezes Photoshop records everything. No error message.

This cause altogether lost the file, because it starts to write on the file and freeze.

I have already asked about this on the Adobe forums, and they are pushing the problem to Apple, saying:

Looks like you see some video driver known bugs in Mac OS 10.10.

Apple is aware of these video driver bugs and work on a solution.

You can check the post here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1916446

But this problem also occurs on the new OS.

I would suggest you might try upgrade to El Capitan.

I could be wrong, but I doubt that Apple is working on any more updates for Yosemite. ! 0.10.5 was the last published update on August 13, 2015. There is no evidence that they are working on a 10.10.6 update.

And note that your Adobe forum link is dated August 2, 2015, 11 days before the release of 10.10.5.

  • Address MAC WUMC710 problems when using MAC filtering

I recently bought the point WUMC710-HQ AC wireless to connect to my router EA6500.  Generally, the WUMC710 seems to work.  I was able to connect to the router wirelessly on the 5 GHz band and flow EA6500 a NetFlix video with no problems.

However, there is a major problem that comes makes no logical sense for me:

When I turn on the wireless MAC address filtering of the EA6500, the WUMC710 does not connect to the EA6500router.

Yet, I 8 eight other wireless devices on my network which connect very well to the EA6500 when the MAC address filtering is enabled.  Thus, the question seems to outright to WUMC710.

The address printed on the product shipment to the ends of the box with numbers XX:1 d.

This address matches the address printed at the bottom of the WUMC710 MAC. (normal)

My EA6500 router recognizes this MAC address as the correct MAC associated with the WUMC710 (when MAC filtering is enabled).  But as soon as the MAC filtering is turned on, the WUMC710 does not recover to the router. (I checked the MAC address, that I walked into the filter at least a dozen times, and she entered correct - but all my other wireless devices connect OK).

This is a point that seems strange on the MAC address associated to the WUMC710:

When I am able to connect to the WUMC710, State--> tab Device illustrated the right address MAC I use to filter.  But when I check the status--> network wireless tab, it displays the MAC address wireless like: XX:1E.

So, now, I try to get into this 'new' MAC address in the MAC of the router EA6500 filter just to see if it will work with this MAC address "without papers" of the wireless device.  At first, it seems to work.  The WUMC710 of blue light will come on indicating that a wireless connection has been established with the router.  BUT nowhere in the web interface of EA6500 says that the WUMC710 has a DHCP connection with the router.  And, if I connect my laptop directly to one of the WUMC710 Ethernet ports, there is no connection to the Internet via the router (as long as the MAC filtering is enabled).

I did Factory Reset a few times now and no difference.

Firmware is the factory default - it is there no update of the firmware available, yet.

I spent several hours trying to understand what is happening with this device and go round and round in circles in trying different things.  I can only conclude WUMC710-AC is defective, or requires a firmware fix - but none are available.

Am I missing something here?  Or Cisco does suggest a fix for the firmware for the WUMC710-AC?

(I don't really like to run my network wireless MAC address filtering active wireless.)

    Kind regards

    Jeff

Cisco-Linksys 2 support with me today confirmed what I thought it was a possible firmware bug, is actually undocumented features of the WUMC710, by design.  And they agreed that they will update the documentation for WUMC710 to take account of these features and system requirements.

Just like a reference to new users of the WUMC710 AC wireless bridge, I will summarize here the requirements for WUMC710 wireless bridge to work properly with the router, Cisco-Linksys AC6500 Wireless, when MAC filtering is enabled.  If all goes well, this information will save some other people the many hours I spent to dig through the documentation and the FAQ to try to understand what it takes to connect successfully devices behind the bridge of WUMC710 to the AC6500 router - when the MAC address filtering is enabled:

The following MAC address must be entered in the AC6500 router table filtering of MAC addresses to connect devices behind the bridge WUMC710 wireless to the Internet:

    1. The MAC address of the bridge wireless WUMC710 wireless.
    2. The address MAC LAN of the WUMC710 bridge.
    3. Addresses MAC LAN of each LAN device connected to the LAN Ports of the WUMC710 bridge.

    That in a few words.

With this information, devices behind the WUMC710 of Internet connection (with the active MAC filtering) is a breeze.

  • SonicWALL NSA 3600 6.2.2.1 - 14n and Sonicwall Mobile Connect for MAC DNS problems

    Hello

I wonder if anyone has seen this problem. I just upgraded my NSA3600 to version 6.2.0 to 6.2.2.1 - 14n and now none of my MAC OS x clients that use the Sonicwal Mobile Connect application has no DNS. You can test by IP and use NSLOOKUP to find the records dns, but if you try to ping or access what either by its name it does not work.

Everything worked perfectly before the upgrade to 6.2.2.1

Thank you for this information, but it was not useful in this case because everything worked until I upgraded from 6.2.0 to 6.2.2.

I just got got off the phone with Sonicwall support and there is a bug in the 6.2.2.1 - 14n and they gave me with a firmware fix. version 6.2.2.1 - 14n-HF156864-1n and everything is in working order.

  • UCS mac address problem

    Hi all

    simple question...

You may know if it is a bug of mac address learning with version 1.4.1?

I have go a blade with a mix of palo and other cards, some vnic are pinned to link rising with trunk allowed vlan 501 on both sides. On the blades of the UCS, i've got ESX and ESXi. Service console is labelled VLAN 501 (depending on the configuration of the trunk switch UCS and uplink). Some blade had obtained these interface pinned on the UCS6100 A and another on B (with failover). The fact is that if I ping from outside UCS UCS (ESX) inside no learning of mac is performed on all infrastructure.

I don't know problem is the UCS because if I erase the mac table UCS, nothing works... and all the works if I start doing a ping of the UCS. I also tried to put the switch uplink static mac (ESX service console) but was not helpful.

    I hope this isn't a 1.4.1 bug...

    TNX and tnx for help

    Dan

Y at - it you using uplink groups pine or have a network of layer 2 disjoint by chance?

Questions like these are ususally PIN-related groups / Disjoint L2 using the wrong link DR port for traffic entering.  When the traffic is generated from within the outgoing UCS, the MAC table is updated on the upstream switch which allows traffic to flow, until he gets older.

If one of them is the case I suggest take you a look at the videos of Brad name video #6:

    Kind regards

  • Mac migration - now, photoshop is a trail

I bought photoshop a few years ago and have been using it on my old mac, I now have a new one with no hard drive, so I made the migration of the app and it installed fine. I used it and closed. Then when I went to use photoshop again on the same day, he has now told me that I had to install the application manager which I did and now it says "your creative cloud trial is completed" and I can not use my Adobe package.

Is there something I can do? You are able to transfer from Mac to Mac photoshop?

Need Adobe applications must be installed using installation files - transfer between machines will not work.

  • PC Mac Migration and conservation optimal scenario Suggestions please

So I'm finally migrate to an iMac and I'm looking for "best practices" suggestions on file storage.

On the PC I have kept all my files raw image on an internal 2 TB drive.

My new iMac (27 "retina, i7, SSD 512, 16 G ram) has obviously limited disk storage. While most of you are? Keep all your images on an external drive? Or do keep you the most recent and current workload on your internal drive to Mac and go outside when you need space? What is the best practice?

I think the simplest migration route would be to export everything to an external hard drive formatted exFAT and import the catalog into the iMac and leave the image on the external hard drive files.

    Any opinions?

(Sorry if this question has been asked but all I find are suggestions on the basic migration... nothing found on recommended or ideal practices... thank you).

    Thank you

    Chris

I've also got an iMac; I store all my Raw (DNG) files on an external hard drive.  All Images edited in Photoshop or other software are stored as psd or tif also on the EHD even.  The LR catalog is on my internal drive, but with a backup also stored on the EHD.  The only files which end in the internal drive are my JPEGs exported.  Most of them will be removed once they are downloaded to the purposes for which they were made, so that the internal drive is never overloaded.  In addition, I have an identical DHM 2nd one which is automatically reproduced by SuprtDuper!, an application software for the Mac shirt pocket cloning.  In this way, all my first photos as well as the edited psd and tif files AND my LR catalog are saved in case of failure of the EHD.

  • Server Migration problem

    Hello

I'm planning on migrating a number of servers between the 2 groups in the same data center. At the present time, that the two groups do not have access to the adapter network same vMotion is not possible, it is very good and will be resolved shortly. However I get an error but another message which reads as follows:

The virtual machine requires hardware features that are not supported or disabled on the target host:

    * General incompatibilities

If possible, use an active cluster with vMotion compatibility (EVC) Enhanced; See article 1003212.

CPUID details: incompatibility at level 0 x 1 'ecx' register

    Bits of the host: 0110:0010:1001:1000:0010:0010:0000:0011

    Required: x0xx:x01x:1001:10xx:xxxx:xx1x:xxxx:x 011

I'm assuming it's because the processors on hosts are slightly different between the two groups, all hosts in two clusters are IBM HS23 blades but...

    Group 1 - Inter (R) Xeon CPU E5 - 26700 2.60 GHz

    Group 2 -Inter (R) Xeon CPU E5-2650v2 @ 2.60 GHz

Can someone please advise if there is anything I can do to get rid of this error, if I turned off the VMs system first I can migrate their and they function without problem however, I really want to avoid if possible system failures.

I'm assuming that the solution may involve the CVS (this is currently disabled on the two clusters) but I would like that confidence that allowing this cause no problem for connection etc.

    Thank you

It's true. you need downtime to allow CVS on an existing cluster.

but that's why I suggesting a different solution.

    (1) create a new cluster, select CVS on that.

-Please find planning intel CPU would be appropriate for your two models that you plan to mix. [Let me give you a simple example, if I have two hosts of AMD, one with AMD Optron G1 and the other with AMD Optron G2 CPU, I would create a cluster of empty with active VCA, basis for VCA updated AMD Optron generation 1, powerdown all VMs running in both hosts, put them in maintenance mode and drag the cluster out of maintenance mode and begin to power on virtual machines]

-you have two processors in your next guests clustered computers. I don't know too much what appropriate Intel CPU would be at there place for them, please try to find this first release.

    Group 1 - Inter (R) Xeon CPU E5 - 26700 2.60 GHz

    Group 2 - Inter (R) Xeon CPU E5-2650v2 @ 2.60 GHz

    (2) now clear out a host of each departure of cluster 1 and 2, which will be your initial test environment, bringing virtual machines in this third group. While doing this, you may need migration cold of the two clusters, but more likely, you would be able to bring virtual machines to at least one of your cluster using vMotion.

    (3) if things work out well for you, free plan all hosts to join this group and get rid of the remaining clusters of empty.

  • Installation on Mac C4580 problems

    Hi there-

I have a Photosmart C4580 for a few years. He has never been particularly reliable wire - but always well with USB connection.

A few weeks ago, I got a new modem and router combined hub - and I hope that it would improve the connection between the computer and the printer wireless.

I have now tried to set up the printer on my computer for about a fortnight and am about to throw under the bus and then kill me.

I uninstalled all drivers old HP etc. Since the Mac applications folder, rebooted, and then re-downloaded the latest HP drivers for this printer and Mac OS 10.5 (my OS). I then connect the printer to my computer via USB, and it starts to install all the drivers on my hard drive. Then it asks me if I want to connect wireless. I say Yes. He identifies my network to broadband that is affiliated with my Mac laptop. He asks me the password. I type in. Then opens a new page and it says it's "Setup", and that "the device can take a few minutes to set up and get the setup IP access wireless Point. I wait about five minutes.

Finally, a new page will load upward. "Your device was associated with 'worldsgreatestbroadband' network. (which is the name of my wireless broadband. "The IP of your device settings are the following:"

IP address: failed to retrieve IP.

Subnet mask: Impossible to retrieve the intellectual property.

Default gateway: failed to retrieve IP.

Preferred DNS server: could not retrieve the intellectual property.

Auxiliary DNS server: unable to retrieve the IP. »

Then, there are two buttons at the bottom of the screen - Go Back and continue. I hit to continue. A dialog box appears that says "device not available: the network configuration has been correctly transferred to the device." However, to continue to configure the network device, your Mac must have access to the device. So please make sure that your Mac has access to the network: "worldsgreatestbroadband" and try again. »

My Mac certainly has access to this network - now I can access internet for this type.

I did this about five times, and it's the same result every time. Any ideas? Can I manually type in my IP somehow?

Thanks in advance for reading this far.

WOW - Thank you all for the deafening levels of aid on this one ;-)

Just thought that I'll let you know that I managed to solve the problem - it wasn't with the printer, but with the new hub.

I talked to someone at Virgin Media, which said that it is perhaps that the security settings are too high/precise for the printer, so they recommended to change them - I have them decommissioned of ' WPA - PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] "to just"WPA2-PSK [AES]"and that did the trick.
