  Starting on 19/02/2013 every time that my antivirus software scans my computer (per day), various Firefox browser preferences are being reset. (It seems that Firefox can be reset to the default value.) My home page is reset to mozilla etc...

Your home page is stored in a file named prefs.js in your personal settings Firefox (your Firefox profile folder). It deletes this file? Replacement of a 'clean' copy it right?   I don't want the drivers.  I mean the software.  The drivers you get from the page server 2003 and the software from the page I referenced.   Otherwise, you need to contact HP, as they provide that software, not Microsoft.

  Step 1

  Find your file and right click (Alt - click) the icon. This will bring you a menu with a number of actions in this regard. Click info

  Select Get Info

  You will be presented with a window that looks like the image below. Here all the information on the file that you selected, including its location on the Mac, the size of it and much more. What interests me is the section in the red zone.

  

  The Open with: section shows the current application that this type of file opens with, and clicking it it shows a drop-down list that hosts the application different types you can choose. Click on it to reveal the menu drop-down

  Setup incorrectly states my new 660 s Dell equipped with 64-bit Windows 7 (installed at the factory) as an operating system 64 - bit XP and falls down (XP has never been installed on the computer).    I downloaded the latest version of the software recommended directly from the HP support site.  Of course, there is an installation problem.

  After that I scan a document and save it as a PDF in preview, I want to change it. I'm looking for software, compatible with OS X.11.4, that would allow me to use the optical recognition of characters (OCR) to convert the PDF file into a word processing document.

  There are many options that claims to do what you need.  From personal experience, it's almost a function of the PDF itself, not all PDF files are the same when you open them in apps claiming to edit PDFS and convert them into editable documents.  Bottom line: be prepared to be frustrated at times.

  Please, try the steps mentioned below and check:

  • Click on the Apple menu icon and then click on System Preferences.
  • Click on printers and Scanners, print, Scan, or print and Fax.
  • Click the Add (+) button.
  • Search, then select the name of your printer in the Printers list, and then click Add to add your printer.
  • Click on print to help... and then select the name of your printer (default "Airprint" would be selected)
  • Now try printing.

  These measures should be the case, I would like to know the results

  As you receive this type of error and you do not see the HP software on your Mac computer, then please follow this HP document on a message "No computer found" during scanning. The Photosmart 5514 software may have gotten deleted when you took your Mac computer for maintenance. At the end of this document provides troubleshooting steps to reinstall the software.

  I see that you can not scan with your HP Photosmart c4680, on Mac OS X 10.10. I'm happy to help you!

  For this printer on Mac OS X 10.10 it there's no full feature software and drivers from HP. Only a generic driver that is built into the operating system, as described in this guide, HP printers - install Mac printer driver using Apple Software Update.

  To scan, you will want to go through this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 Scan for iMac driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a does not appear to be, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005. Even if this post is for a different printer and operating system, it will always apply to your situation.
