  Option 1: If you go to computer management, and then to the list of Services and find the VMware authorization Service, it appears as stopped? If so, you need to start

  Option 3: The question can be caused also by your security program such an antivirus or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks.   Option 4: The problem could be linked to a local or domain group policy. Make sure that the local account is defined as 'local user __vmware_user__' in the local Administrators group and the permissions of "Log on locally" and "Log on as a service.

(I do regularly each month and it is ok) but now after tuneup2009 restarted my pc, start it shows this stop error message. STOP 0X000000F4.  I tried the mode safe but is impossible access, the same error code. I tried to format my pc with a disc of win7, but always without success, it seems that the pc does not boot from the cd room (I changed on the bios Setup boot order).

  I solved my problem in this way.

  I removed my hard drive to laptop, took all the documents I did not wont to lose and formatted it from another pc.

  I downloaded the first file its ( http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/ )

  and created an installer of the USB bootable Windows 7 on my drive with this tool ( http://download.cnet.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html?tag=mncol;1 ) usd

  I have insterted my hard drive and my lap top when I started upward, I boot it form my USB stick and istalled win 7.

  Now it works very well. Just reinstall my programs.

  I have news for everyone has problems with the vista upgrade, today (Tuesday 6 Feb 07) I finally got through moduslink and cost numbers is because that preinstalled software cost numbers will not be verified by microsoft.

  I rang microsoft and they confirmed this and said that I should get in touch with my supplier of pc (toshiba) so once more that the customer is treated like a second class citizen pushed from pillar to post while the people supposed to help do nothing but provide you with a phone number that does not work or you are sent elsewhere.

  I suggest everyone begins to call toshiba customet service to get this issue resolved because as I see once the complete offer we will say "hard is not our problem" even everyone tear their hair out trying to do something.

  Sorry to hear that you have these problems, but honestly I really put t understand exactly what is happening. If you control Moduslink website you can find page with screenshots and the exact explanation, where you will find number of COA on the Microsoft sticker.

  Last week I ordered the upgrade of Vista for Satellite A100 and COA number (14 digits) is checked without any problem.

  Perhaps you have used Check existing option order three times and the number of COA is locked or is there any other problem when you tried to do step by step order?
