Major project of Greenscreen.  Workflow?

Just curious as to what that all the workflows for a larger project of greenscreen.  I don't usually do a lot of greenscreen, maybe 15 cups worth on 3 Staples per project.

But now I have a larger project with cameras shots 40 + x 3 each (Multicam) and now I'm get boggled down.  My project is starting to look like a war zone, and I'm looking for an alternative.

MY CURRENT WORKFLOW

  1. I import my images of GS to PP chronology.
  2. Ask 4 cameras sequence in a sequence of 'root level' to synchronize multicam as usual. (layers 1-4).
  3. Drop 'root' the sequence in a sequence of 'MC', select edit, etc. (the normal drill for editing multicamera) MC
  4. Make my cuts, remove the fat
  5. back to my sequence root of the MC (where are my 4 cameras), send each clip to After Effects for the strike and the camera color matching via dynamic links.
  6. Go back to the first and complete Keylight and my other corrective color layers on the clips do not see me real time at first, so I
  7. make on a weak ground. MOV w / alpha of each element of the AE - clips of proxy (adding images more to my project)
  8. Move at full resolution, dynamicaaly what AE related to key clips (my those final, good) on 5-8 layers
  9. Proxy place clips on layers 1-4 at level root of Multicam on top.
  10. Proxy videos get good reading
  11. Continue edititing project until everything is perfect
  12. Back to all my root multicam sequences and swap linked what AE comps proxies. (and I hope that I don't miss any)

Surely, I am doing something stupid here because when I am all done, I have a gazillion clips everywhere and a bazillion what AE comps everywhere too.  Suggestions for the way YOU work or when you think I'm on leave would be greatly appreciated.

Well, certainly start with a transparent cache (probably at least point 8) around the subject. This eliminates a large part of the screen that you don't have to worry about keying (which you can see in the clip of mast).

I use the Eyedropper to select the color of the screen; Hold CTRL for example a slightly larger region - and click a few different place around until you find the best color to start with. Then I go back through the mast build settings to set the matte; I've usually drag them on full-tilt and then again until I get a good clean key. It is convenient to be able to see the screen and alpha at the same time, so open a reference monitor and Alpha; This way you can let the exit effect Composite value. You will need to disable your background layer, however, you can see the effect of the alpha in the reference monitor (as a sequence is really transparent, not black).

Once you get the screen twisted, deepen Matte Cleanup to refine the edges. If you have a good key implemented in the production of mast, should not to really do much here - and a little goes a long way. Finally, Supression of spills can help you clean up the edges, where you will have a small green purge - especially if your subject is a bit too close to the screen. I do not use the ultra Color Correction; It is super basic, and given that the other more powerful CC effects are GPU accelerated, they work great if you stack them after the Ultra twist right off to key.

It is very common practice when it comes to typing, as you probably know. A lot of it has to do with the right material to begin with, but I've even saved some really terrible shots with Ultra. Once you get a hang of works Ultra, you can check out through your entry work - preview real is a huge advantage.

We would like to share some fragments of page or code between them and create unique web application to manage all human tasks for this application of BPM process. Then, I found the following in the document Oracle "Oracle SOA Suite 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1.4.0) Developer Guide":

    "If the composite SOA contains several human tasks, create a separate project for each ADF workflow associated with each human task."

    I wonder if we have to do and if so, what is the reason.

    1. I don't know the reason why they mentioned as separate project for each human task. NO, this is not necessary and we can have a single project of UI as MyTaskForms and have all JSPS in this same project for each human task.

    2. for our part, we have like 10 human tasks, while using the same payload. We have therefore 10 .task file. For the first file .task, we Auto generate project and gave the name of the project as OurAppTaskForms. Is the reason why as we did, for he adds all dependent libraries required, tag libs etc correctly. For all other .tasks files 9, we did NOT use auto generate. Instead we used standard New-> JSF human task and select only one task at a time and follow the steps. These steps are covered in the online documentation. At the end in our BPM application, we have just a UI project with all 10 screens.

    3. in ADDITION, all 10 screens have some common data. We put in a reusable JSF Fragment page. And associated with a managed Bean for this set and get the values of this fragment and also certain Actions for a few buttons in the Joint Strike Fighter. Then, we have included this JSF in every file of jsf taskform, uisng the tag include. We have added the include tag, somewhere in the upper part. If all the screens share common page fragment of jsf.

    4. we can refine the above things further. As per above, we have again JSF 10 screens for each one of the .tasks 10. Of course all these 10 jsf have same common jsf fragment. BUT instead of 10 screens individual jsf, we can have only ONE screen of Jsf also. For details, see the docs online. The hard part is, we don't have that one jsf, there may be a few tricks of bussiness, validatoin stuff to take care of in Manager ValidationCallback custom classes. Say for Task1, had to show some buttons, but NOT for Task2. So, we have to manage this logic. Also validation callback, we can always get each task, title also. So that we can get around this problem too. We are in the process of doing now. But first of all 3, we did it before and they work very well.

    My personal suggestion is to first go with jsf one fragment and include all duties jsp files. Any changes made to the common elements need only put in one place IE page fragment.

    I'm working on a LV application where a project must be created programmatically & its dependencies must be analyzed. But when I add a source folder containing many files (> 1000) LV crashes when obtaining the mention of dependencies (in the method highlighted in the image below). Is there a work around for this problem? Also finally I have to compile this whole code of packaged project library. It requires extra coding?

  • Troubleshooting SpeedGrade slowdown on major projects / deadlines

    Hi all

    I have been troubleshooting the issue that many of us have had to deal with: the slowdown or lag that makes SpeedGrade CC 2015 almost unusable on some large projects (Direct link). Basically, I have big smooth, responsive titrant with several layers, high output, adjustment even and layers After Effects compositions - up to a certain limit. More great, feature film projects require workarounds and I am trying to find out why.

    I've already eliminated:

    -GPU. GPU never never even reached 10% CPU usage or more. GPU memory usage never IM 40%. Acceleration, confirmed.

    -Memory. SpeedGrade seems never to consume 4 GB or more, max, excluding the memory usage of AE. I can have 22 GB of free memory on a 32-GB system and continue to suffer from the terrible lag.

    HDD/SDD. No disk access happens while I make adjustments.

    -Number of tracks. Reduction in the number of tracks in the project of one (of ten), the gap remained.

    -Linked securities / compositions AE / "exotic" files. Removed all of them, LAG remained.

    -Spike 's CPU use, but not 100%, and it makes no sense that the processor can manage complexity in a single element but starts trolling just because there are a few other clips on the timeline that aren't a cause

    Experimentation, I think what he peut is having a relationship with the following:

    -Length chronology

    -Number of (active?) clips on the timeline

    -Number of files in the project (whole, including other times?)

    -Total size or length of the referenced clips (active)?

    -Size of the project file (currently 6MB, which seems not extreme)

    I managed to get a workable unworkable situation by copying the pieces in an empty timeline and SpeedGrade Direct link, but this is less than optimal. I also managed to constantly increase the responsiveness and reduced offset 'simplification' of the timeline as described above, but these improvements seem to be progressive and it is difficult to objectively say that changes really made a difference.

    Any ideas how and why this happens? And more importantly, exactly when this happens?

    The idea of cache seems logical, but if this is a cache, it must be in the RAM somewhere (it has no current disk activity). So it is probably not a case of Sg to run out of resources, it's just the shuttle data back into memory... This would mean that, for now, is intended to keep the memory footprint of each scenario as small as possible.

    Absolutely agree with your recommendations: 2015.1 was already a great relief and I resorted to break the project into action, which makes more or less usable Speedgrade again for large projects. Also, it feels like I can get the some of the same effect by simply disabling groups of elements in the body, which causes Speedgrade to ignore (as opposed to disabling a track, which can still be reactivated to Speedgrade).

    The route of the EDL was not quite as bad as I expected to be the few times I used it, and I can recommend to any project that consists mainly of traditional publishing or plans effects fully rendered/exported. Basically, if all your belongings are scaling, basic transparency and knocked down the shots, it would take little to hurt!

  • CS6 managing major projects well?

    Hey, guys.

    I am running CS4 and begin to consider the options of upgrade for my editing environment. A while ago (this was before the FCP 10) I remember back and forth on FCP vs first. One of the things mentioned was a claim that first didn't manage big projects (e.g. a 90-minute film) very well. This, of course, the FCP human. CS4 was the last and largest in the time. CS6 is a couple of big tours all over and also runs on a 64-bit architecture, so maybe it's not the case now (I can't say with certainty what, he never just repeat what I've read).

    Y did edit you movies of this length in CS6 and if so, how it works for you?

    I just finished a project of 3 hours (more than the Bonus DVD) without any problem.

    PP has never really had a problem with larger projects, at least not on the side PC.  If some had no problems, they were likely local issues, not all the problems everyone would know.

    My initial problem was that I needed the screen to pause so that the user can interact with the spry menus and interactive images. In other threads, I noticed that you added click boxes to prevent the screen movement. However, whenever I clicked on the spry menus or image maps, screen installs without giving me the opportunity to interact more on the screen. In addition, the screen gone white. I decided to use the timeline and each drag last less than 60 seconds. However, whenever I tried to do this for the entire project, it crushed, repetitive, the project became too big - it's 164 slides.

    I read in another thread that you can break up the project using the "Daisy track" indicated. When a single segment of the project is completed, you can run another swf file to open, and so on until they all open in the sequence. I wonder, how does it work exactly this approach and will still be able to use the menus spry, i.e. I will always be able to insert links to other parts of the project? This approach means that I have to create a web page to add the links of these separate swf files and this will also be my spry menus and design obsolete?

    Any help on this would be greatly appreicated.

    Make sure all your break points are at least 1 second from the beginning or the end of a slide (just in case the blade is still fading in or out).

    You also mention that you use "spry menus" in your course of Captivate.  I have not heard of anyone done this before.  On the off chance that they can be the introduction of a weird behavior, you can try remove a copy of the project to see if it improves.

    I'm developing what will be one day a great help system. The final version will be welcomed as Welp Pro of a dedicated server. It will contain several thousand subjects and give access to a record of variety, including Excel, PDF, Flash videos, etc.

    With such a great project in mind, I should start with separate merged projects?

    Also, with so many additional files and the final draft, which extends in gigabytes, the final release will be stable?

    Research of the output will be useful at all?

    Hi Nick and welcome on the HR forums. With a project of this size I had efinitely use merged projects for my sanity if for no other reason. Managing a project that size would potentially mean a lot to link different types between the files and it would be easier to do if they were into manageable pieces. Also, if you have a project with thousands of associated topics, links, images, etc. that you will need to open your project, go and make a cup of coffee, drink it and if you're lucky, it can be opened at the time where you then watch your screen . Your output is concerned, I know authors with power exceeding 10 K files and they have no problem with its stability. Ditto for research.

    You can call several BPEL processes in the BPEL process. He will not however be a project. You will need to deploy the BPEL processes to the BPEL process family school and work.

    You say that you have a starting point. You should be able to achieve this with N flows, but another method would be to put a BSE on the front and the payload can call other BPEL processes.

  • Export of major projects

    I recently finished up a video installation in After Effects for the work that comes out to about 15 minutes long. Throughout the process I exported the video to see how everything is the tail. Normally, it takes 2 hours to export the full video. Since last week the video export started 10 hours for export. I understand that large files take longer to export (this one goes out to 1.7 GB), I have not changed the settings of export since the first day. I export video on:

    Format = H.264

    Screening: Youtube HD 720 p

    I couldn't understand why, so I tried:

    -Office cleaning

    -removal of old copies of the video

    -By ensuring all other applications have been closed

    - and boost memory, processing capabilities.

    Are there measures advanced export or advice to reduce the time for export?

    This doesn't seem to be really a problem of Media Encoder, it is a matter of After Effects. I noticed when my rendering begins to go slow all of a sudden, that is not the Cache disk is filled. May have filled up your drive, or at least the amount of space that you have designated your cache and the database.

    First of all, I would like to "own database and Cache" through Edition > Preferences > media & Disk Cache. You will probably need to make a new render your timeline, but all the previous, unusable poster is more too much space and which allows your reader to breathe.

    As side note, 15 minutes in After Effects is a great crazy long timeline, even in standard definition. You should consider using AE for only specific shots and use editing as the first software to do the actual editing.

    In the synchronization Editor, I have a project with 2 workflow.

    I run the synchronization in a stage of the process, and then I change with a step of sql query the workflow attached to it to run the synchronization even with a different workflow.

    request to change the workflow:

    I missed something. Should I update another table with the workflow to use?

    Is not possible to programmatically determine what workflow performed in a stage of the process?

    Forget the attempt to update the startup configuration when you deal with enforcement.

    Create a second configuration of starting with your second workflow instead which is not an affected grid.

    In your process chain, have two step run the FullProjection. One runs the startup configuration 1, the other a startup configuration 2.

  • Mid-project CS3 to CS5 upgrade cause major problems - please help!

    Despite having been a user since version 6.0, I've never used the forums so I'm new here.

    I have major dillemas following a big update at a critical time and feel completely abandoned by Adobe on this.

    I worked on a major project for more than a year.  Recently, the project requirements has become too expensive for my dual core Pentium running Premiere CS3.  CS3 has never been a program too stable during projects to get to a certain size, but this time frequent accidents were doing impossible things.  Furthermore, when I tried the functions of project management to consolidate and save my work, they would fail ("unknown error"), leaving my precious work extremely vulnerable.

    I contacted Adobe to inquire if I could build a new system first CS5 running and my project to import to CS3 to continue my work (which is now late with the customer).  The wizard of support said yes, there was complete backward compatibility.  You know what's coming...!

    I bought the new system (Pentium i7 860 8 GB of RAM, 1gig Graphics GTX460, striped disk Western Digital Mybook Firewire 800) and CS5 upgrade and has got it all.  I brought my project in CS5 by using the project import/set function in the menu.  My project appeared and I was hoping that everything was fine.  When I tried to read, the problems have become apparent.  Photos are all fine blue vertical lines from the top down, washed out colors and do not play smoothly.  The main monitor cannot read the timeline - it can only display the first image selected.  After a short period of reading, the whole program seems to go in slow motion. not an accident, but an impractical slows down.  The timeline, then stops responding and cannot be read.  When I first open the program, it takes about 5 minutes to load everything - that can't be right surely?

    Basically, it seems that CS5 is unable to manage my project of CS3 all despite the fact that, although large, it should be relatively easy.  It's a SD PAL widescreen project which is at the stage of rough cut.  I have not yet applied classification or something particularly complex (my system CS3 used to have difficulties handling of projects after that I applied Magic Bulllet looks like).  All sequences are in standard DV AVI format and was shot on a XLH1a.  The project also contains an uncompressed AVI file.

    The main thing is that I have spent a small fortune here all this because the old CS3 software was not working properly and I desperately need to finish this project.  Now the money has gone, CS3 is not stable enough to work on, CS5 on a brand new i7 machine work hardly at all, and my neck is on the line with the customer.  The work is sitting in limbo when I should be plug on with it.

    Sorry if this all sounds a bit (Christmas emotional stress?) but I would lovingly welcome all hero/heroine who can come to my rescue.  I'm so disappointed with Adobe right now.

    The blue vertical lines: for the Nvidia graphics card, it's a quality 3D setting that is causing the problem.  Set the parameter to "let the application decide."

    Untie the uncompressed avi and see how works the rest.

    Could you explain what what will be the exact flow of two work above, impact if we allow them when creating new project type.

    These two options will affect any new project created using the type of project you are developing.
    For example, you create a project type called "Capital Construction Projects", designated for individual projects that will be created when your company began construction of a new factory or office, for its own operations.
    For this type of project, you can enable the flow of project work and budgets.

    Later business user creates a new project of this type, for the construction of offices for a new Department, he or she will submit the project for approval. By using the workflow your company would install rules so that system knows which should be the approver of this creation of project, or later, any change in the status of the project.
    Once that project was created the business user need to budget for the expected costs of this investment. Another workflow is now used to submit the budget for approval.

    If unnecessary business rules a formal process for approval of two state changes of project or the base line of the budget of the project, then you need not enable these options for the type of project.

    I have a project file that opens on a PC that I've edited on it, but when I try to open it on another system the project through media link dialog boxes and then a 'serious mistake' and first stops. I also tried to open a new project and then import the project and that the same phenomenon occurs. I had this problem in the past as well... any ideas?

    I suspect that your solution has to do with the importation of projects 'child' in 'major projects ', as described in this tutorial: reuse of clips and work on several projects. Adobe first Pro CC tutorials

    This 'several projects' workflow can be beneficial in the case of work with several 'collaborators' (ASST. publishers, artists, motion graphics) on a single project, however, there may be disadvantages when all projects has the ability to read/write, which includes this feature.

    I'm working on a group project that involves a lot of editing in Premiere Pro CS4. We try to understand how best to streamline our workflow, so that people can work on the same file in different locations. Are there any good tips or points that we should know before embarking on this adventure?

    Right now, our plan is to have a separate files for each person to work on, by combining the final sequences at the end. The problem, however, is if two people want to work on a file at the same time.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    If you wanted to ONLY carry a unique project between different computers/editors, things would be easy. Using an external (I would recommend FW - 800 the minimum for eSATA as the minimum for HD and SD), all that would have to do would be to assign the drive letter of this identical external transport in the operating system of each machine. All assets and Scratch disks would be on this external.

    However, this is NOT what you're talking about. In your case, the unique workflow that will work (that I know of) would be to assign different "chapters" to different editors. These "chapters" would be sequences in the project of PrPro. Then, when everyone has completed their work, these projects could then be imported into a 'major project', for completion. In this case, the external references could be used, to avoid having all kinds of linking issues we would make sure that each external had a unique drive letter but that same drive letter was put in the OS of the machine that was the main project. Say, if I had 4 editors working on 4 parts, Editor 1 would use Z:\ drive, Editor 2 would use Y:\ drive, and so on down. When each of these external systems were plugged to the main computer project, the first step would be to put the drive letters in the OS of the machine.

    It would take a planning, then choreography and prevent 1 the Publisher and editor-in-Chief of 2 working on the same "chapter", unless they swapped external, so that the work could not be done to each 'chapter' at the same time.

    It's about the only way I can think to do such a project.
