  So far, our best theory is that users are clicking on save twice, perhaps by habit of other desktop software. I thought I might as well post it here in case someone else has encountered this and had any advice or different ideas on what could be the cause of (web server or network loading, for example).

  I try to installed PSE version 14. (Version 11 is currently installed).

  After I downloaded the installer and correctly entered my serial number, the process stops with this exit Code:

  Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR: DW069...

  HOWEVER, no other facilities are underway.

  spin 10 Home, 64-bit Windows and I checked the Services and there is no other installs. I rebooted several times without success.

  Another clue: when I run the set - Up.exe, I get a warning message:

  "Installation of adobe.

  We encountered the following problems:

  Setup has detected that a reboot of the machine may be waiting. It is recommended that you completely Setup, restart your computer and try to reinstall. »

  The options are to ignore or Quit.  Whenever I chose to ignore, that I had already reloaded.

  Suggestions?  I don't want to install this new version, so all advice welcome. Thank you!

  UPDATE:

  I thought that made another program which has an auto-update function may report (wrongly) to Windows or other applications that the installation is ongoing. This includes my graphics (NVIDIA) and my printer (Epson). You leave or disabled the automatic updates for these and other applications and I also left MSFT a drive for good measure and voila! I could install and no mistake. All fixed.

  Maybe I just got lucky, don't know, but you can try these steps if you have the same problem.

  There are several different causes of connection failures. In order of frequency:

  (1) opm.db file is damaged and needs to be deleted. We are working to isolate the cause of this.

  The opm.db file is located in the OOBE folder:

  on Mac: / Library/Application Support/Adobe

  Windows XP: Settings\Application Adobe application

  on Windows 7: \AppData\Local\Adobe

  Delete this file will often focus on the error.

  According to the description, you can not install or uninstall a program that you are getting a prompt to upgrade the media Finder.

• Failed to install an optional update due to configuration errors. Errors are now fixed, but cannot find the update to make another attempt.

  I installed Skype and I'm using a webcam Logitech C210. Sound works fine but the person that I want to connect with shows a blank computer screen. I checked the settings on my end and everything seems to work fine, including a short video of me at the bottom right of my screen.

  Microsoft sent an optional update called "Logitech-Communication, hardware device, Streaming Media and Broadcast-Webcam 210". However when I tried to install it failed.
  With the help of Microsoft Help, the problem with the update appeared to be several errors in configuration that have been set.
  However, I was not able to find the answer key updated to try to install it and hopefully the video problem knows my contact.
  My question is basically, how do I find the optional update.

  To copy files from my drive NTFS of Windows 7 64 bit for my Western Digital My Book World Edition II 2 GB player manually, not with the WD software provided), for some files, the following message appears.
  "Are you sure you want to copy this file without its properties?  The X file has properties that cannot be copied to the new location. »
  After investigation, it appears that Western Digital My Book World Edition II is not NTFS format and is, in fact, driven Linux.
  Their technical support has confirmed that, despite the message, it is safe to copy files and rely on this backup (I want to backup my drive HARD whole so I can do a clean install - so it's really important!).
  Is anyone able to advise exactly what means the message in terms of properties lost?

  If you right-click on one of the files in Windows Explorer, then select Properties, you will see the Details tab of the properties he wouldn't if the files have been copied to a drive not NTFS. They are written in an Alternate Data Stream (ADS), and the FAT format readers include ADS.

  The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions. To run the System File Checker, you'll need open an elevated command prompt. This can be done:

  • Enter the start screen
  • Press Windows + C keys on your keyboard to show the charms. (If you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of the screen and slide your finger to the center of the screen to display the bar of charms)
  • Click on search
  • Type the command prompt in the search field
  • Click with the right button on command prompt (if you use a touch screen: touch and hold your finger at the command prompt, drag your finger downwards until you see an outline around the tile and finally release your finger on the screen.)
  • Click on run as administrator

  Enter the command: sfc/scannow
  Note: If you use a touch screen you can open the touch keyboard for the command prompt by typing on the keyboard icon in your taskbar near the system tray.
