  The game shortcut that you're clicking on is probably a shortcut to the Web site for the game, not the game itself. That's why you found these options in the properties of the icon.

• Windows 7 audio and video stutter problem

  Recently when I watch videos (be it youtube, shake, DVD or videos on my hard drive) apparently at random my audio and video will be stutter.

  I tried to disable hardware acceleration, it did not help. I have the latest video and audio drivers (that I know) and it seems to happen more predictable when I run a software intensive treatment like utorrent, it is not get recorded by the recorder of camtasia studio or bandicam (first being a screenshot while the second is a game of capture) I tried to catch in the Act to make a short video to demonstrate the problem , but he has not registered. the video seems quite well with no stutter.
  I have: Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit
  graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (tested by alienware benchmarking to work perfectly)

  You are the administrator of the PC? If this isn't the case, you need to right click on the MapleStory icon and press "Run as Administrator", you would probably get a pop-up that asks you the administrator password. If you enter the password, and the program is run, all the files/actions/material etc., required by MapleStory is now available.
  And if this does not work, have you tried to reinstall MapleStory?
  There are also a 'manual' patch, you can download this from their homepage. What it does is hollow will the files and their update. You may also need to run this file as an administrator.
  If nothing above works, you should try to check all your drivers and see if they comply with the requirements of game. You can update the necessary drivers on your PC with this free software Solutions: DriverMax.

• Fable: The Lost Chapters has stopped working - problems of crash!

  I bought Fable: The Lost Chapters about two months ago. I have Win7 Home Premium. I played the game for about 15 hours with several minor issues. (It crashed a few times, has happened once or twice) But now I am unable to act. Most of the time when I start the game and try to open my saved this game crashes immediately. Or it will allow me to play for a few minutes and then crash. Most of the time, it seems to be 'save' related. When it crashes it freezes my laptop full and have to wait for a few minutes until I'm capable of anything. My laptop is 2.5months old.
  I was Googling my off _ all day and updated my drivers, which did not work. Also, when I try the compatibility "Troubleshooting" it gives me an error: "Splash.exe" - Windows can't find Splash.exe. "Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again" I don't know what it is. I do not type anything. Anyway, please please please help. I would really like to continue my game!

  Have you tried to start a new game and create a new save file? The file just may be damaged. It's funny, the MS site says that it is not compatible with 7. I had hatred that MS and have a game like this, not be compatible with 7.

  If the problem persists, I might even try to reinstall the game as administrator or... XP compatibility mode, or both, if you're patient. A few users have got the game to work even if it's not compatible. For example, Maple Story runs on machines a bit, but isn't supposed to be compatible with 7.

• Vista keeps hooked randomly

  Hello, I use Vista for 2 years and it has been quite a good experience. But recently these last months the computer maintains suspended, with the mouse cursor, being unable to move. They occur randomly sometimes it hangs while loading the main screen while other times it crashes when using to halfway. Usually we will just manually force the computer to shut down and then turn it back on, however sometimes suspended just repeats. Hang the problem seems to be worsening = now)

  We tried to analyze the computer using anti-virus software, analysis mode FAILURE but nothing has been found every time. There was once when the stand-alone computer is analyzed for a long time, due to a bad closing down previously, and the system "decided that it will be safer restore the computer system of a few days in time, when he thought it was safe. • I want that these shields admin only out of my desktop icons.

  Hello

  I want to customize my desktop as much as possible, especially the desktop icons.  However, on some programs - Maple Story (a game of the internet) and Mesquite (genetic analysis software), I have these shields of red-green-blue-yellow UGLY smack dab on my nice shortcut icons.  I don't care if the shortcut requires administrator rights, I want to have one glaring thing remember.  The security popups reminder enough.

  I searched all over the internet and the only solutions of workaround I thought involved turning of the security system (I refuse to do) or go into the registry and make invisible shield icon (perhaps, I could only remove but I'm not sure).

  Upgrade to Windows 7 will not help because I hear they have the same thing, just a different color shield.

  So, why can't get these shields of my icons?

  If anyone knows an easy way or if someone knows how I can de-admin only these shortcuts (seriously, they do have admin status only) let me know.

  The short answer is that it is not configurable through any system setting. The workarounds are your only option, preferably the regedit method which makes them invisible and not disabling the system security measures.

  Well, it's the fault of the program editor, the program is not properly written for Vista. Programs in Vista require elevated (admin only) to run in the environment of the system rather than the user's environment, IE: directly from protected against writing system, rather than the structure of users appdata folders. The only real solution is for the supplier of the program follow the parameters of the program established and documented for Vista (Win7). • Newbie script question: how to change a story in a particular style

  I am new to scripting and I'm getting to know the built-in script FindChangeByList. (I use InDesign CS4 for Windows.) I use the excellent script to find tapes of changes by Martin Fisher (modified by Kasyan Servetsky). It works brilliantly, but I have a question. I want to add a string of FindChangeList who take an object any selection or history and put it all in a style particular (the real name of my style is "Body2.TextIndent"). This should be the best thing to do, but as a newbie, I'm puzzled. The only thing I could come up with was to find 'any character' and replace it with the style I wanted, so something like this:

  Why do you want to use FindChange for this? It is horribly inefficient. Whence this requirement? Or you just want to tell you want to do in a script, not that it must be a FindChange script?

  The paradigm of right in the scripts here is the same that interactively - set the appliedParagraphStyle for each of the selected paragraphs, a loop on those paragraphs. Do not do operate at the level of the character and do not use FindChange.

  First of all, let me say that I consider that the best time of the Firefox browser. I love the essential philosophy of Mozilla and Firefox customization by the user and the control, while respecting their need to ensure security and stability.

  OK, the issue is evident in the title, how can I limit history with Firefox? More recently, I observed when the activation and the deactivation of JavaScript in the preferences options has been removed.   I recently came across a pretty annoying problem with my Acer Aspire 7560 notebook computer G. First of all, I hope this is the right section to ask the question on this model in particular, if this not is not please forgive me. In addition, for TL; DR scroll all the way down.

  The issue I had was that programs would fail / refuse to start. Zune opening, steam or even just try to open a picture in Windows Photo Viewer either did nothing at all, or the program would look like it began only to then disappear completely (sometimes, but not often, accompanied by an error message saying that the program has stopped working). The laptop still start well, I can browse my directories, internet access, run certain programs, but not others (kkkkk emulator Android works very well, for example). I decided that the best thing for me to do was reset to the factory. Boy I was wrong.

  I backed up all my personal files on an external hard drive, so the laptop is ready to be reset. First problem I encountered was that do anything during startup caused me a BIOS password. I did not create one, so it must be the default, and it wasn't really all that difficult to get rid (I used a bootable USB key with clnpwd, just follow the instructions). Then I entered the BIOS, but whenever I get alt + f10 to work and load the Recovery Manager, invites a message indicating that I have to wait for the operating system to load. After that start the laptop, and nothing changes.

  I discovered that I probably haven't installed Acer eRecovery utility, because I had to replace a HARD drive defective just now. If at this point, I tried to not get these files to http://us-store.acer.com/erecovery/rcd/ no chance. When you enter SNID or show, it always returns "we have found the serial number entered. Uppercase or lowercase do not make a difference. I'm sure that number I entered is correct, however, because when I use it to search in http://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/drivers it is my laptop model immediately. So, what gives? I'm not sure.

  If I can't get the support of Acer recovery soon, I might have to resort to completely reinstall my OS (Windows 7 Home Premium) for the device. Problem is that I don't have a disk for it. I thought to download an ISO and that copy on a bootable USB key, so I went Microsoft Web https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7 site I found the product key with a simple .vbs file, but alas, because the OS came preinstalled, which won't help me. At this point, I'm getting impossible to reacquire the Acer recovery as well as Microsoft methods. If this doesn't help, I might have to resort to some Windows 7 disc torrent download, but I'm not too happy with this prospect for obvious reasons. I don't even know if I could activate my product code, and I don't trust those "cracks".

  My question is: how to acquire Acer eRecovery media when they tell me "we have found the serial number entered. If that proved impossible, you know safely to reinstall my OS using my product key?

  Customer support was no help, in the end, they just referred me to a local retailer and gave me an estimate on the time and money it would take to get things resolved. Too long and too expensive, but that's just my opinion. I'll just go come and clean install my OS.

  Found this mirror which has the ISO files archived: http://mirror.corenoc.de/digitalrivercontent.net/ I'll check the SHA-1 checksum, just to be sure, but they must be perfectly clean. With Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool?wa=wsignin1.0), I can create a bootable USB key, and after that, it's going to be all simply a matter of following the instructions.

  A little muffed that I couldn't have this problem solved, but hey, I was counting on the factory reset anyway. I will get rid of all the bloatware and possible malware in a single shot in this way, then everything that works, right?

  I downloaded everything from http://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/drivers to my device (because, my SNID worked) for additional safety. ISO file is almost finished downloading, I'll probably do a last post here when all is set and done. That way, if anyone ever find this thread, they know that what might work.

  I've heard say that if you go into the system menu Program Files-> Nexon-> you can start it manually by starting the exe. file.

• 41 of Firefox. Stop posting the story on the new tab. I want the new tab to display Google as my home page. In this way, and something changed.

  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use an add-on like tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Note, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.
