Satellite A65-S065 - button Power LED is blue & amber at the same time
1st off I have a S065 A65 and worked well after a replacement motherboard, my fault, he had to be replaced.
In any case, I have the power button LED is blue & amber LED light up at the same time. Anyone has any idea as to what it means, or maybe I'm going into something, I don't know what it is and it should be reset at the back. Any ideas?
Thank you
BenHello
I checked the manual of the Satellite A65 and there I can find information that the Power LED blinks orange indicating the machine is in standby mode. So for me it sounds like that your laptop is in sleep mode.
What happens if you click Start > stop and choose the closing down in the menu drop-down? Normally, the power LED button must be turned off and also the laptop is in sleep mode.

Equium A60-199: question on the colors of the button power/powerlight
I was wondering if someone could explain why the power button on my Equium A60-199 changed from its usual blue to a Pink/Purple mix, and also why usually green power light on the front of the laptop has changed to amber.
Thank you.
If the powerbutton is Pink/Purple and your amber powerlight, that means that your machine is in mode. This happens usually when the computer has been configured with a power that leaves your machine goes mode sleep after using only not in a period of time.
Or you have vista and click on the button in the Startmenu which supposedly should stop the machine but rather switch to standby.
That's all.
Welcome them

Yoga2 11 -. Novo button power button / stop
I recently replaced the hard drive in my Yoga2 with an SSD - it is not even formatted. The plan is to boot from a USB key that I have prepared as a means of recovery of Windows 8 - but first of all, I have to enter the BIOS to enable legacy-start.
In the past, I've always been able to get into the BIOS by using the Novo button, but since I replaced the hard drive, the Novo button acts as a power button and gives me the message "no boot device found".
How in the BIOS?
Just press F2 (several times) at boot time.

Physical button power problems
Hello
I got my Lenovo U410 a year ago (it will be a year of the end of October), and I loved it, since I got it but a anoyone else noticed how filmsy power button is? Very thin and sometimes a small corner of it will get stuck under the frame. I thought it was pretty normal and dealed with my own way, but then this morning it stopped me to start.
I tried both with the AC adapter / in and out, held for 30 seconds and all the other methods, but it does not turn on. It was as if something had got stuck behind the key and it kept me from fully pressing down. I don't think my handeling and care is in the present case, given that I managed to keep a HP Pavilion DV2700 healthy since 2008.
Is it a manufacturing error, design, or is my phone just a fluke? I really don't want this to happen.
I realized what it was. It was a problem of physics with the computer. The key on the receiver under the button was worn out and had to be replaced. I don't know why he had used if fast (I had the laptop for just a little over a year). You'd pay a little more than half a grand for a laptop would make to the less lasting for two or three years. Thanks Lenovo. Really.

Icon button "power" W510 Windows 8.1
Hello;
I recently acquired a W510, works very well, updated to Windows 8.1 including KB2919355, 442 updates and according to Microsoft, a new icon "power button" could potentially appear (depending on the implementation of the manufacturer I guess) next to the icon 'search', but it's not. I wonder is there a chance to bring up the "power button" icon at all? or it is a designed theme of Acer? Thank you.
Finally, there is a registry hack that can he turn on or off. It is disabled by default for tablets and to default for laptops and desktop computers. Give it a try and see if it gets the desired behavior.

Hello
My Z820 at the office is suddenly having a few hardware malfunction.
When I turn on my machine, the PSU/system fans don't rev and the Power LED button flashes red with a beep 4 times.
According to this page of troubleshooting, this indicates a faulty PSU on the new UEFI computers:
HP desktop - computer does not start and emits a LED or a beep Code
Section "code beep and LED descriptions.
Get the exact model of LED as the example of "power failure".
Then, I got a new power supply replacement. I still have the exact same model LED and beeps...
So, I have drawn deeper and found that when I removed the Quadro 4000 card graphics and then put on my machine, the power button LED is lit in blue (led code ' computer-S0 (normal operation) "") and all the normal spin fans.
The Quadro card seems to be the culprit...
Unfortunately, I have no alternative graphic card laying to verify this around, I'm waiting for a replacement of the graphics card (via HP service) to arrive tomorrow.
Is it possible that the power LED button code (4 times red with beep...) has nothing to do with a bad power supply and that my Quadro is bad?
Dries
Dry... that Z820 has been giving you headaches.
Many fault codes have not changed since the previous workstatons. I hit this series of beeps of error in the past, and often doesn't mean that the power supply itself is the cause. It can be a hardware device to the bottom of the chain causing a power surge to power, triggering his "crowbar circuit: fault protection
http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/crowbar _ (circuit)
Here are the instructions to deal with this series of beeps of a previous HP xw technical and repair. Note the number 2 in the troubleshooting instructions... usually you don't have to go down to 3, in my experience. I think that you have already found the faulty unit:
Loss of power.
1. open the access panel and make sure that the power cable is properly
connected to the system board.
2. Locate the faulty device by removing all devices and then reinstalling one at a time
until the workstation fails. Replace the device at the origin of the failure. Continue to add
devices to make sure that everything works correctly.
3. check the power supply feature.
a. turn off the AC power.
b. remove all cables internal power on the system board.
c. connect the power supply.
● If the power supply fan turns and the BIST LED lights, then the
power supply is good. Replace the motherboard.
● If the power supply fan does not turn or the BIST LED does not
light up, replace the power supply. -
Dell Pro 11 venue buttons power no longer works under Windows *.
Just got my mobile keyboard yesterday. I upgraded my BIOS A05 yesterday installed the 'Fix Power Settings' and ran the Windows updates. Now all of a sudden the power of tablets button does not work in Windows 8.
I thought that this could be a BIOS problem. That's how the buttons currently work in Windows 8:
- By pressing the power button once the time puts more sleep. I checked in the profile of power by pressing the power button is put to sleep for the two battery and plugged.
- Not holding the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds none liked shutsdown Windows.
- Now the power button for 60 seconds hard turns off the tablet.
- Volume buttons work 100%.
- Hold the power button when the Tablet is off turn on the tablet.
Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
Hello

U2414H, button Power LED
Hi all
I wonder is it possible to disable this Power LED flashing light when the monitor is in standby mode? Basically as monitor is close to my head at night that LED light is now half of my room in light. The only thing that is noticed in the OSD menu is that you can toggle the active phase.
Short of just put the monitor off, no. The manual page 16 shows the power button States.
Why leave mode sleep? I have all of my monitors turn off at the end of the day.

I go into power options and I click on the CAP going to do and he says that access is denied when I try to change the options, I don't know if it of the computer or the operating system, I'm the admin and I think I have all the updates, the computer is a newer samsung.
Thank you chrisI ran the scan several times and it didn't work, I tried to create a new admin account and that no longer works. I think it's just a bug in the operating system that microsoft should be in trouble, and still not sure, if you have any other suggestions that would be greatly appreciated, if not its ok, its more an annoyance than a problem. I only had the computer since 02/10/2011. right now, which is about a week.
Thanks for the helpChrisYou have a new computer. Everything is under warranty.
Take it to where you bought it and ask for a new, or at least someone to fix it.
Yopu might have to deal with the manufacturer of the computer instead. I don't know the details.

Qosmio G50 - blue screen if I press the button power save
In November 2009, I installed Windows 7 64-bit edition Home premium on my laptop. That has worked well. Without problems.
For two weeks, I have the problem that Windows 7 stops with a blue screen when I press 'save energy' (FN + F3). At first I thought this might be due to Windows updates. I uninstalled the last 10 (!) Updates. That did not help.
Does anyone have an idea about this problem?
Thanks, Bernhard
Hi fetzerman,
This only happens if you use hot keys FN + F3 or when you use the Windows shortcut (start > Stand-by)?
If this only happens with the FN keys you should try updating the package of added value. In addition, in your case I recommend you update the BIOS. You can find the latest version on the Toshiba site.
