Material acting as a mechanical switch (by releasing latch) push button

Hello

I have a simple question. How can I have a hardware button (momentary switch feeding the DAQ card as a digital entry) have the same characteristics as a Boolean valued action mechanical latch released?

Is it possible to do?

Thank you

Is the code more easily implemented when it comes to behavior "lock when you press on?

No, it's the same code, just a question of if you are looking for passing false to true (lock when you press on), or true to false (by releasing latch).  The "PtByPt of through Boolean" VI (Signal Processing-> Point by Point-> other PtByPt functions) can detect one and is probably the easiest solution, you can just wire the digital input it and select the appropriate transition.

  • Boolean switch until released by using a structure of the event

I use a Boolean control with mechanical action to activate the button, I want to return to the original state.

I use it in a structure of event defined to trigger a change in value. The action to push the button generates two events in the State on one and the other for when he returned to the stop State.

How can I control this to prevent a single event is triggered and the second event which is put on hold until is ignored, I want the button to return to the original state and not to execute the code twice.

    Thank you

Right, I should have told latch.  Do not forget to place the control button somewhere it will be read to reset the latch.  It does not need to be connected to anything, just read.  Sitting inside the case of the event is very good if you do not use anywhere elsewhere.

  • cDAQ material requires a supply reset after the release of VI.

My LabVIEW program seems very simple. It uses two Express VI, an analog input (NI9219) and the entry of a meter (NI9411). The program works fine until I have stop. Then it will not start again unless the chassis cDAQ (NI9472?) is the power to bike. The program only is there and does nothing. When I reset the chassis and click the button run the program starts and works perfectly. The only part of the program, which is a little unusual, is that the entrance of counter refers to the sample in analog input (AI/SampleClock?) clock for synchronization.  Sample timing mode is 'continuous' for both modules. Why reset chassis doing all it works correctly? How can I eliminate this step?

Try your JUDGMENT of wiring in the DAQ Assistant as well.  Tasks are implemented for continuous samples and are never actually loaded to stop.  I wonder if somehow that causes a buffer overflow error or something like that and is the cause of lock USB communication.  I would say it should not, but it would be interesting to try.

    Hi Aditya,

Select the exclusion group in the hierarchy (you have no script each option button) and select the click event. The switch statement would use the this.rawValue.

    Hope that helps,

  • DAQ 6009 release latches to value even after VI stops running.

    Hi all.

    I had this particular problem.

I use a simple VI to generate zero to five volts on AO0 6009 DAQ.

When the VI is running, I can change continuously the voltage with a slider, and it's good.

But when I press the button 'STOP' on the VI (while the loop continues), the voltmeter connected to the output of the DAQ 5 volts shows (if 5 volts was the last position of the cursor).

So if the VI has stopped, data acquisition always shows the last value.

How to stop the VI DAQ understand that he must go back to zero?

I have attached 2 types of codes below gives the same results.

    Thank you very much.

It is not at all strange. It is planned. To set the output to 0, simply do another writing DAQmx before deleting the task.

  • Release of a button after a signature

    Hello

I have a form that requires 2 signatures thereon.  I've been watching the positions of field locked/unlocked, but I have not found quite what I'm looking for.  Here's what I'm trying to do.

Digitally, the employee sign his electronic time sheet and click on the button to send the form to his or her supervisor.  The contractor digitally sign the form (fields can block if I choose to program like this, I who always speaks with persons affiliated with the form) and the button for the contractor to submit the form to the payroll now becomes unlocked.  It had previously been locked so that the employee could not work around the signature of the supervisor.  I'm not quite sure of how to write the script for the second signature line so that the button will unlock.  Could you tell me please?

    Thank you!

I found my answer this morning.  I used preSign and postSign with the script to ensure that the fields visible or hidden.

  • Compaq Presario CQ56: a problem with the computer keyboard laptop presario CQ56

All keys (F) Act as the FN key is been held down when it is not. This just started today. I have a free prog called "keyboard test utility. Now, I have discovered that I can get 1 clean tap of F4 and the prog to test keyboard shows only illuminated F4. The next time I hit the letter (P) F4 and the Windows key are lit. Now, if I tap the FN key, and then press the F4 key. Again, F4 is the only 1 who turned on the prog of test. It's almost like the FN button nosed. I just to confirm. Rather than hold down the FN key to get things under the keys (F) (as a volume-, volume +, cut and so on). Now, I have to hold down the FN key to get the regular F1 to F12 keys. The rest of the keyboard is fine. A regular toggle switch or a switch in a radio push button. The FN key acts like someone ripped the wires to the back of the switch and reverse the wires and the switch can operate in reverse. Beats me how this can happen to a laptop keyboard.

    Hello

Here are a couple of things to try.

    1. judgment of the laptop.  Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    2. try to change the default action of the keys 'f' as follows.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the Bios ( f10 ) option, and then change the figure in the document at the following link.

  • Switch up to this that released some Boolean and default call nodes

I came across a curious phenomenon today that I can't really explain. When my VI has finished running, I want to retain most of the values of controller, with the exception of Boolean switches to pause or stop safely my request. Until recently, I was not able to do this, and I thought it was due to race conditions. By using the property node Value (I know now does not work for Boolean switches) and default reset call node no results, until I have experienced. That if the default reset runs asynchronous to the rest of the application, and is the last VI to run does not allow time to do its job?

So I implemented a small flat sequence (joint) and found that if you throw a wait between the end of the loop and the invoke node, it resets to the default value as expected. Try it yourself on your machine. I found waiting for the problem occurs when you set the wait not less than 80 ms and sometimes as much as 150ms.

Anyone know why this problem occurs?

Why do you use switch until published?  Which should be used for applications where you want the behavior of the momentary push button.

You should use switch when released.

I think that you do not have a status of critical competition because of bad behavior.  You press the stop button, that's true when you're now pressed.  The true stops the loop, you have a very short wait, then the reset to default product which returns the button returns to its default state.  During this time, you can't run that fast and you are always press the button down while all this is happening, then when you go and release the button, even if the VI has now ceased, this version cancels the action and return to the other State (since now it is false, it returns true).

This is why the value of waiting that you add seems to work if you do it long enough.  You yourself gave enough time to naturally release the button.

To prove it, make the long wait.  Then run your VI and press the button downwards, but takes even longer to release him.  You will see the same behavior when you add the very short or no, wait, and a much more natural on a button or release.

Do your mechanical action switch when released, and your VI will run as you expect.

  • Boolean switch until the released counter + the number of cycles

Hi, I want to use a Boolean command button (switch release) to rely on a specific value and when obtaining this value (while pressing continuously the button) to turn on an led. If I release this Boolean button, I want to count the time until a value and then to turn off the light, like a hand for a hand detection dry.

I was thinking of using the number of cycles in a sequence of plate with a delay for the time being I want to split on a matter of true or false, but the problem is that the count of the number of cycles is continuous and not slaughter not on the specific value I want for the power button truning the seeing.

    Any help?

  • LabVIEW 2012 SP1, failed to get a correct mechanical action on buttons Boolean

I try to use the Boolean buttons and events to programmatically change the properties of a graph.  I basically want to click a button on the FP and have the graphic change the property you want.  All changes of property is very nice, but I'm really struggling with the mechanical action of the buttons.

I'll preface this by apologizing that I can't post my code, as computers with installed LV are isolated. My code is basically OK buttons, a while loop and a structure of the event with an event to change value of each button.

I want the user to click on the button. After the click and release, I want the button to be in the same State he started, and I want the value change event to trigger only once.  Sounds to me like I want the released mechanical locking when action.  The problem is that it does not work.  I can't create buttons that behave like that.  None of the 6 mechanical actions exhibit the desired behavior.

To make things worse, I have two buttons OK that both the latch value by releasing.  The two buttons are True before the click. A button behaves as expected (the button is true after the click and release) and the other button switch back.  I tried to copy the work correctly the button, but still the copy button does not work the same as the original.  The two buttons trigger a unique value change event, in spite of behave differently.

To answer the question "where do I get the button work of?  Awhile back, I made a simple button test vi which have proved all 6 of the mechanical actions and kept track of how many times they shot a changing value of a click event.  My buttons worked when I did this vi... Finally, I remember having trouble with that at the time too.  The results of this hurt me by using the switch until the buttons released with mouse events during a long time, until I got the button test VI works correctly and learned how to really work the buttons. But the buttons are now funny.  I tried to copy the latch work by releasing the button in my current program, but for some reason only two buttons work copied as expected, despite them being copies of the same key.

Is there a bug in LV2012 SP1 (64-bit) where mechanical actions don't always work?  Will I be stupid?  I'm sorry I can't post the code.  I have this problem on Windows 7 and Linux.

A little more information, because I wanted to make sure I tried eveyrthing before posting.  I tried to make a new button test VI.  That still works, but I can't see the buttons in the new button test vi behave the same as I did.  In the new lock when you press the same features when you press on and latch when relased acts as switch when released.  Switch release lock until this that released and behave slightly differently.  They both change value, but on actually switches the light two events twice (still there and back), where just LuR moves to state once but still fires two value of change in events.  I checked to make sure that the mechanical actions are set correctly at least a dozen times.

Quite confused here.  My old test vi button works as I expect, and the lock when released button as I want, but I can't for the life of me reproduce it.

You have the terminal button located in the event of changing the value associated with this button?
