Memory Inspiron 2600 problem

I have a laptop Inspiron 2600 with 2-64MB PC133 SODIMM modules for a total of 128 MB. I have tried to replace the lower module with a module of PC133 256 MB used (Dell technical support says that it would be very nice), but in vain - the computer unbootable and gives a 1-3-3-1 beep code.

When the original module is replaced, the computer works normally.

The only information that I could find, 1-3-3-1 means "28 Autosize DRAM".

Anyone know what this means? Can it be a BIOS problem? (I'm not able to access the CMOS configuration due to a lost password). Or is it more likely that the memory is just bad? No matter which two readers, gets the upgrade memory?

Thanks for any help.

  • Dell Inspiron 3521 problem concerning "audiodg.exe.

Sometimes I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 3521 with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit with a Realtek HD audio driver. The problem is that whenever I run a Flash-supported page on my Firefox browser, audiodg.exe (and it is a real process of Windows Audio) consume a very large amount of physical memory on my computer up to 997 MB, establishing the audio matrix until I close the browser. Then when I open the browser again, the problem starts again.

I tried to solve the problem using the method of "improvements", but it failed for some reason as evidenced by the photo:

There is no option tick 'disable all improvements' in there, and all the improvements are unchecked. All they have is the tick "immediate mode".

I have also all my updates installed on my laptop, but the problem persists.

Is it possible to fix this so that the problem of the use of the high memory caused by 'audiodg.exe' will be gone for good?

Hello. It's the first time I saw a screen shot of improvements to properties of speaker who had not "disable all improvements. My laptop has also 7 64-bit but with IDT and it has. Maybe if you switch from the native Windows driver Realtek driver will answer box "disable all".

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If you use the latest Realtek driver (6.0.1.6788), you might want to try the old Realtek 6.0.1.6690. The former driver installation requires to remove the most recent in Device Manager and choose the delete files option.

  • Upgrade memory M50 satellite problems

    Hello

I just tried to add 516 MB in my expansion memory slot, but the extra memory has not been recognized. Notepad starts fine, but only shows 465 MB of available space.

I tried to change the original and new memory cards, and either card in a slot (0 or 1) on their own works as a 516 (which turned the cards and the two slots are working), but together they always show as only in use.

Someone at - it ideas on what could be the problem and how to make so that he can use them together?
    Thank you

The 465 MB is normal, because of the shared video memory. If I understand you correctly, the two connected modules, show only 512 MB?
Perhaps you need to perform a BIOS update. Could help. You can find an update to the emea support & download page.

The two modules comply with the necessary specifications? They should be PC2700 DDR - RAM.

  • Satellite A60 - BACK memory checker detected problem

    Hello

I have a problem using the recovery DVD, as posted above. Microsoft site Web told me I maybe lack of hardware (Ram) the error I get is unable to load the required DLLS for kernel.

I ran the auditor of memory microsoft back and all the time, the results are expected: ffffff real: 7fffff

I bought a new ram and installed the ram installed ok, but I still have the same problem.

Now, I've read that this model has 256 MB of internal ram, which is hard.

I think it should be this hard ram that has become corrupted somehow.
Is that what this really hard hard ram?
I can't locate it on the motherboard.

This means, if the ram is corrupt and hard that I have to buy a new motherboard?

Any help and advice would be welcomed - especially all that means I don't have to buy a new motherboard!

Also, if anyone knows the model number of the motherboard, I would appreciate this too.

    Thank you in advance,

    Paul.

    Hi Paul

According to the manuals of the unit the internal memory is not expandable and as far as I know not removable. I m not 100% sure if this module is defective.
In my opinion, you should contact Toshiba. He can do a diagnostic test and it can give you a good answer on the blackout. Maybe you do not need to replace the motherboard.

    Good luck

  • Memory card causes problems

I have a new PRS - T1 and have devoted a 16 GB MicroSD card.

    1. with the card in place, the device does not "remember" any book that he was reading, which is stored on the card and also, of course, do remember not what page it's on. He can remember books in main memory, but not those stored on the card.

2 with the card installed, whenever I press the HOME button, I get an error, "the Reader app has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. "If I remove the card does not appear this error.

Resetting the device made no difference.
The firmware tells me that it is up-to-date.

I had been using the MicroSD card on my MP3 player for several months, with no problems, so I don't think that a faulty card is the problem. (I deleted it before putting it in the Sony drive).

What can I do to solve these two problems?

I have a card in my reader too and that you are not experiencing these problems.
Have you tried to format the card in the reader?
You will lose all data on the card, so I suggest you to save on your PC first and then copy the map after formatting.

  • Memory of Safari problem

    Hello world!

I have a problem with Safari on my Mac.

All of a sudden, a couple of weeks Safari began to consume all the memory available, even without any charge, just with a tab of Google. At that time, I used the public beta version of 10.11.2, but now I use 10.11.2 version and the problem was not solved for me. Also, I tried everything I could: browser, manually deleting both files cookie and preferences, as well as delivery extensions. I even reinstalled El Capitan, but without formatting the drive. BTW, I use TimeMachine.

    Material: MBP 8.1, 2.3 GHz, 10 GB RAM i5, memory: Plextor PX-256M5S.

    You have any ideas?

Your computer/library/google search and see if you have a software update. If so, remove it. Otherwise, it is very likely and extension or plugin that is the cause.

  • Memory card reader problem

I have a HP Pavilion dv5-2134us running Windows 7, 64 bit.  In the past, worked the small memory card reader to the front.  It does not now.  There must be a switch somewhere in the device manager - not to conclude.  There must be some downloadable HP driver - was not found.

    1. There is absolutely no problem with the camera (s).  Same model, several units.

    2. There is absolutely no problem with the memory chips.  Down them on another laptop HP as well last night.

    3. I checked to see if pins were crooked on the card reader-not.

    What is the solution?

I need a specific link to windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit driver for the memory chip card reader.

I need a specific way to find the on/off switch in the Device Manager.

If you run the operating systems Windows 95, 98 and old, be aware that Microsoft has changed names, places and so on.  So, tell someone what has worked 5 years ago may not work today.

    Hi @bdcochran01 ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read on your HP Pavilion dv5-2134us Entertainment Notebookand of problems with a memory card or a player.  Here is a document on the memory card reader troubleshooting.

Sometimes, Windows 7 will not allow any change in the drivers here is a solution for this.

First of all, try to click on the Windows icon, type services in the start search box, and then click or tap on the advice of local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type must be - automatic and the service status should be - started
Restart the computer after this stage and try to reinstall.

Here is a link to the software for the Alcor Micro Card Reader, to make sure that it is installed.

    I hope this helps.

  • The modernization Pavilion dv8t 16 GB memory will cause problems?

I have a HP Pavilion dv8t Quad Edition Series Notebook PC, product number: VF836AV. The maximum amount of memory that can be installed in it is 8 GB, according to the operating instructions. I recently replaced the original 8 GB with 16 GB of memory, and the 16 GB is recognized automatically. The Windows system information report now shows that the installed physical memory is 16.0 GB and total physical memory is 16.0 GB. In addition, the original memory installed in the PC has been Crucial DDR3 PC3-10600 of type, and I replaced it with a Crucial DDR3 PC3-12800 memory of type. However, the newly installed 12800 DDR3 memory does not work at its full rated speed, it runs at the same speed as the original memory. There seems to be no problem with the configuration of the improved memory, but I can't help but wonder why the manual (and even Crucial memory Advisory tool) says that the maximum installed memory should be 8 GB. Memory of 16 GB currently installed will cause damage or some other problem in the long term?

    Hello:

A few other people have installed 16 GB of memory in their notebooks with 1st generation i7 quad cores and reported no problems at all.

I would be not the least bit concerned the performance of 16 GB in your mobile life.

The reason why that memory does not run at 1600 MHz is...

Memory can only run as fast as the processor FSB speed which, in the case of yours is 1333 MHz (10600).

If the 12800 memory simply downlclocked to match the speed of the processor.

Not until you get to the Intel 3rd generation I series with an Intel 7 series chipset processors memory runs at 1600 MHz.

So there is nothing wrong at all to your situation.

  • Upgrade memory Inspiron 530

I am trying to upgrade the Inspiron 530 for my mom. It was running great but has begun to show it's age.  I want to hang some new faster memory, he was considering upgrading the processor, but at this point isn't going to bother because of the fact that it is an older machine, it mainly use it for email and the occasional web surfing session.

I see that Dell is silling RAM but is a bit more expensive side and trying to find elsewhere, but to see different speeds... So rather than have bad normal speed and it does not work, can someone point me in the right direction to make sure I get good memory?

I guess you have the Inspiron 530 mini tour with the 300w/350w PSU and not the version of Slimline s 530, with a power of 250w.

MT 530 systems were built with two different models of motherboards.

If your 530 has been purchased with either a Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core, Celeron processor and a 300w power supply, this system usually involves an 0RY007/G679R/CU409 [FoxConn G33m02] motherboard which only supports LGA 775 Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron processors and 4 GB of RAM.

If your Inspiron 530 minitower shipped with a LGA 775 Core 2 Quad processor and a 350w power supply, you have the motherboard [FoxConn DG33m03] of 0FM586.

The card mother 0FM586 can be used for both Quad 4 and Core 2 Duo processors and can support 8 GB of RAM, with a 64-bit operating system

Motherboard is your MT 530 have?

    The Inspiron 530 with a motherboard G33M02/0RY007 will support either 4 GB [4 x 1 GB, or 2 x 2 GB DDR2 PC - 2 modules - 5300 or DDR2 PC2-6400 memory.]

  • Inspiron 1525 - problems with image restore factory (need help!)

    Hi all

I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 1525, I can not solve... so please help me!

My Windows Vista Home Edition crashed while installing an update and now could not start more (I always get this bad blue screen during startup), so I would like to repair my laptop using the Dell factory image.

    I'm doing... .with related problems

    1. I press F8 during startup, but there is no entry "Dell factory image restore" or something like that (I even tried each one entry but nothing factory imagine restoration).

    2. by starting with a Ubuntu live cd, I can see that there is a partition that contains (among other files and folders) that image (:\dell\image\factory.wim) and a Tools folder where there are files imagex.exe and pcrestore.exe

3 one... Using a pen drive usb bootable containing a bootable back version, I Prime the system. I also put in the usb pen, ntfspro.exe in order to read the ntfs partition
    b. I went in D:\Tools and run this command:
    > PCRestore.exe --> but I received an error message indicating that this program cannot be run in dos mode
    c. so I tried this other person (I've read here in the Forum):
    > imagex/apply c:\dell\image\factory.wim 1 c:\ --> but I got the same error as above, it is impossible to run this program in dos mode

    4. in addition (and I think it's weird), I tried to boot with the dvd operating system shipped by Dell with the laptop: loading at startup of Windows, but just after the progress bar (green) appears at the bottom of the screen, it blocks showing again this bad blue screen!

Now I don't know what I can do!

    .. .Please help me!

Is there a way to restore the laptop with the Dell factory image?

    Thank you
    Orlando

    orlando1,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

When you press F8 and the menu, choose the option which reads 'Repair your computer' and follow the menu to restore the system.

This utility formats the partition of hard drive to the operating system before you restore the original image. This means data on that partition is deleted and cannot be retrieved.

If you create a second partition with a third-party utility, Dell Factory Image Restore remains unchanged until the partition of the image is not deleted.

  • Boot Dell Inspiron 560 problem

    Hey,.

I've had my Dell Inspiron 560 with Windows 7 for about 4 months now and a few days ago I was turn my computer as always and as I do the light is solid blue and I can hear the fans start to move, but my screen is black. I know that the problem is not my screen because I unplugged and plugged back in as "Dell" screen and then the screen would go to power saving mode. I unplugged and plugged all the cables and I will always have this problem. I've also pressed the power button and I it would hold for about 3 seconds until I hear it turn off with a beep. Please help me.

Yes, the motherboard is a replaceable part and can cost $100 +, as well as S & H, these motherboards are generally used, alias "renovated".

But, if the motherboard needs to be replaced, before you buy, check the cost of the purchase of a computer, nine or of occasion.

  • Use of the video memory Inspiron 580

I got a STD Inspiron 580 on 2 years ago and I've recently upgraded the video card integrated with a GeForce GT630 2 GB card. Now I am checking the use of memory for my system, now that I have an equipped graphics card, is it possible to change the dedicated graphics memory and shared system memory because it would free up on my machine, which is currently 4 GB of RAM.

Will also change the foregoing slow aspects of my computer down?

    Hi KRIS537,

Inspiron 580 system BIOS doesn't have an option to change the shared memory. It is handled automatically by the system and is disabled if a video card is detected on the system. You can follow the steps below to check the memory available in the system configuration:

    • Turn on the system
    • Press F2 on the Dell splash screen
    • Highlight the system information and press enter
    • You can find the installed memory and available memory .

I hope this helps. Answer please if you have any other questions.
