  Hello and thanks for your reply. The problem has been fixed. I'm not exactly sure how, but that's what happened. When I'm at a screen that says "repair windows" the cursor would not move to click on proceed. When I had almost gave up and was will wipe the hard drivbe and do a clean installation of "Windows 7", I turned on the computer and got to repair screen and the cursor was somehow operable. I clicked on continue and the computer fixed itself and has been running as good as new since. The computer is 'HP' office and running "Vista".

• Win 10 upgrade fails to 'Copy files 53% ' with: Error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

  I tried several times to get Windows 7 Pro x 64 to be upgraded to Windows Pro 10 x 64, but every time I start the upgrade, it will fail to "the copy of the 53% '."   Hey Srinath,

  I noticed that the disc was full when you try to restore a patch. I tried of free space by removing an old archive I had, but got the error message "no space not available on the device. Then I'm using a unix guy who have more privileges on the unix machine, and he was able to free up a lot of space by removing a lot of old log files. After that, I managed to install the patch. I guess that my privileges in unix was not enough to delete files when the disk is full I find strange. Normally I can delete files.

  I just stumbled upon this problem there is, it's an easy solution to calm. If it's a .pdf to locate the file right click and select open with, then choose program select by default, choose the adobe reader software. What it does for each .pdf file it will use adobe reader instead of trying to use the wrong program to open the file. Same thing with .doc and .docx files only instead of adobe reader choose microsoft word
