Microsoft Community Forums

I am unable to connect to the Microsoft Community Forums.  A window tells me to set up a Windows Live ID account for connection and provides a line to select.  When I click on a blank screen flashes and goes away.  I created a Windows Live ID account via another method and tried again.  Still unable to connect to the Community Forums.  I can't find a spot on the Microsoft Web site at this address (since I can't connect to the instance).  The site suggests to contact my computer manufacturer I did (Compaq) and this has led me to this forum.  Any help would be appreciated.  I really have to use the Microsoft Community Forum, as I did in the past by simply signing my Windows id and the password.

It really doesn't look like a hardware problem, so it must be linked to the software on your PC.

You can connect to Hotmail or Windows Live using your Live ID account?

In addition, you can try to check your firewall or security software settings to see if it blocks access.

You can also try starting Internet Explorer without modules. If you have Windows 7, you can do this by clicking on Start, then Accessories, then Systemtools. Then select "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)".

If you have another browser such as Firefox, you can also try using it to see if the same thing happens.
