  Most OEM computers have a partition on the hard drive, that allows to give it bought as provided.  Usually, you activate this feature by pressing a key or combination of keys when the first splash screen appears at startup.  Look quickly at the first screen that appears, and you could see the key that you press.  Otherwise, go to your computer manufacturer's website and download the manual for your computer.  Instructions must be there.

• Captivate 8 - quiz - keep the button appears when quiz is incorrect; only meant to show when the minimum answers are correct.

  I have a quiz 8 Captivate, I have been struggling with - having several questions, but I'll deal with this one first.  Right now, it's the button continue.  It is supposed to only appear when the answers of the quiz are correct (70% to 'continue').  When the answers below the minimum of 70%, the Retake Quiz button, makes however the continue button.  Is there a solution for this?  BTW, the is my button, a smart shape, I did and use it as a button to continue.

  The standard button to continue on the Quiz results slide appears always right from the beginning of this slide.  You cannot see towards the end of the time, or show/hide with advanced Actions.  One option that you have is hide it under one of the other buttons (for example the quiz recovery button).  Simply place this right on top of the button continue.  Then the learner can not see until they have passed the quiz or exhausted their attempts.

  To change, go to run, type: services.msc

  MSC, scroll to microsoft .NET framework, double-click it, the manual value «»

• Error 2114 after cleaning registry with RegistryMechanic. The Server service is not started when I try to share a file on my local network and register to an older date seems not possible.

  I am using Windows XP Pro with sp3. Before interfering with the registry, everything was fine. Now, I tried inserting AutoShareWks and AutoShareServer DWORD in the LanmanServer\Parameter, but it does not work. When viewing in "Administrative Tools\.\.\Shares", "error 2114" is displayed. What's happening and where the change happened? How can I get my pictures on my mediaplayer again?

  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  Unfortunately, a lot of registry cleaners may end up doing more harm than good.  I would check with the registry program, to see if it created any type of original backup before you start.  Now when you say that you "reset the registry to an older date" did you do this through the system restore?  If not then I suggest to run a system restore to a date prior to the registry "cleaning".  If that does not resolve the issue, then you do a repair installation.

  I recommend that first of all uninstall Internet explorer 7 on your computer. Follow the steps listed below in the link uninstall: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177

  Then reset windows update components, then try to install the updates, check if the problem is resolved. It has Fix tool link below will help you with the same

  Once the rest is complete install internet explorer 7 manually from the link below:

  And install the update to the clean boot. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  How to run check and clean boot if you have the problem.

  i. click Start, click run, type msconfigand click OK.

  II. the System Configuration utility dialog box appears.

  III. in the System Configuration utility dialog box, click the general tab and then click Selective startup.

  IV. Click to uncheck the Process SYSTEM. INI file check.

  v. Click to uncheck the process to WIN. INI file check.

  VI. Click to clear the Load Startup items check box. Check The Load System Services and to use Original BOOT. INI are checked.

  VII. click on the Services tab.

  VIII. Click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box.

  IX. click disable all, and then click OK.

  x when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

  XI. install the stand alone update.

  Reset the computer to start as usual

  When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

  i. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

  II. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

  III. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

  IV. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

• Not available when the connection network connectivity

  I have a strange problem with a windows XP on my network system.

  I am running Windows XP SP3 with the latest patches and it is joined to a domain.

  When I start the computer I have not access to the network for about 3 minutes.  Loads of Windows and I am able to put in my credentials, but the connection does not occur until the network components start to work.  I am also unable to ping the computer so that during this time.  I've updated the network drivers and which don't is not improved with anything whatsoever.  I also ran SFC by any chance, he had a problem with the Windows files.

  If anyone has any advice I would appreciate.

None of the programs that I use my account are available on the other 2 accounts? If I try to open a program or file, windows asks each program installation disc? All files, music and photos in each of 2 other problematic accounts disappeared, not where to find them? I tried windows update, nothing happens. I was wondering if something can be done, as a restoration of the system, but there is no restore in xp home system? right?

  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  It sounds as if your user profile may be corrupted.  However, when you install a program from an account you must select the option that the program is for all accounts.  If you haven't already done so, you can run a virus scan before you continue.

• Applications of freeze for 2 to 30 seconds when the access server via RDP

  Symptom: a server running a mission critical real-time console applications work fine left unattended.

  When internet connections are stable, and admin connects to the server using the RDP Protocol, yet everything very well.

  However, sometimes the connection to the server degrades and shows of packet losses. In this case, RDP has always managed to connect, but all our applications on the server to freeze for a period of 2 to 30 seconds.

  While gel applications, the windows user interface is still usable (File Explorer, to change the active window, etc.). The updating of the display is slower, but what is expected with a suboptimal internet connection.

  Log files from various applications show that frost occurs at the exact moment in all of our applications.

  This effect occurs often, just at the moment where the connection to the server. This happens sometimes after some time, while the RDP session is in place, but the user does not interact with the keyboard and mouse.

  Repeated tests have shown, that at the time where we experience these connection problems from another machine in the world, who have own internet connection to the server, a gel occur.

  Because these freezes cause our entire production system one malfunction, this makes the administration remotely via RDP essentially impossible.

  The server is Windows 2008R2 SP1.

  Applications that freeze do NOT networking outside the local computer. Most of the applications are simple console applications.

  I have google some references to this or similar problems, however none of the effective resolutions.
