  Hello. I have this sony all-in-one desktop vgc-lt35e that has been malfuntioning. One day it was fine and then all of a sudden wouldn't boot at all, normal mode and safe mode, nothing is done. I tried to use F10 to load the installation of the plant. It seems ok, but when it's time to restart to complete the installation, the same problem arise then. Please help sony, it's really frustrating, given the amount I paid for this desktop computer. What should I do?

  I don't think it's asking you where to install, it can ask for a place to decompress the files, so just say ok the location by default, he suggests.   I've had zero help, I thought I would post my findings. They can be useful to others.

  Windows 7 Ultimate is now installed and works a treat!

  The graphics card problem is now solved. I do not understand why, but I had to install drivers nVidia for Windows 8 Acer despite my demotion to Windows 7. Yet, the Acer driver provides for Windows 7 are very old, so it was a bonus that the drivers of Windows 8 worked in only a few questions behind (307.17). nVidia site has 314.07 as later but they cannot run - I just received a message from nVidia that I have to get my manufacturer drivers. As this seems to be some time before Acer make available, I thought I would have a try to make compatible the 314.07. After some effort I managed and now uses the latest version without any problems. So, it is good to know that it is possible to "do it yourself", but not for the feint of heart.

  The problem of 'Frozen' hard drive seems to be a kind of glitch but software Intel confirms everything normal and not password protected. Twice now, when I checked the BIOS, it has been shown as 'Clear' - today it is 'frozen '! Go figure. I just need to determine if I can pass to a Samsung 840 - don't know if it will be physically fit. Finally, I am only just beginning now to 'use' the machine (I'm a software developer) and play the odd game - excellent rates too! So far this M5 seems to be a brilliant machine!

  Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  With the newest version of an OS, there are growing pains.  In most cases, drivers come from the hardware manufacturer.  Such as AMD and Intel, and Nvidea are sent to HP to test only once microsoft provides what is needed for them.  Now that Windows 10 is on the market, and manufactures hard dishes have access to a full version that can take a few months until that full operation pilots will be published.
