Microsoft troubleshooting

I would like to ask a question about Microsoft Troubleshooting in your operating system.  Is someone can you please tell me why it is still in the operating system in the first place?  I had many questions pop up where the software tells me that there was a problem, I use "Troubleshooting of Microsoft" and when I did, he answer with, ' WE didn ' T FIND ANY PROBLEMS! »

Now my question is, how can a software me there is a problem and when I ask him to tell me what the problem is or how to fix this problem, it tells me that it cannot find a problem.  Very frustrating to say the least.  If you have any ideas or suggestions, I'd be happy to hear. Thank you!!

Hello

We are far from self-diagnosing/self-healing computers (remember HAL) However
Microsoft is taking measures to achieve this goal. Certainly the need for automated troubleshooting services
a lot more work however, Microsoft is committed to this goal. And they're better now
under XP or Vista (and even better in Windows 8/8.1).

So to answer your question Yes software can tell if there is a problem and in some cases
How to fix those. And it's getting better still not there yet.

And also improve diagnostic tools built into Windows.

I hope this helps.

  • Microsoft Wireless 5000 mouse not recognized by Windows 7, after Vista update

2 days ago I upgraded my Dell Dimension e521 from Vista to Windows 7 - it was the upgrade, not own full installation.

Everything is apparently very well, except the mouse I had used throughout the process, was now does not. The mouse is a Microsoft Wireless 5000, part of the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000 BlueTrack-keyboard mouse, USB packet. The keyboard, which share the same USB wireless receiver is entirely sensible.

    I tried the following to resolve the problem, without success;

-Uninstall and reinstall the software for the keyboard and mouse

-Purchase of a new set office (indicated on the packaging as "compatible with Windows 7") and through the complete installation.

-Going to Device Manager and check/update the driver EVERY. They are all now current.

-J' I followed all the advice on the page of Microsofts "Troubleshooting a wireless mouse that does not correctly.

+ I tried to use the appwiz.cpl application, to find the incompatible software, but but no program appears when I type appwiz.cpl in the start search box.

+ Reset after every time I changed something.

None of these steps resulted in no changes - the keyboard is still sensitive, but the mouse is dead. I do not receive the error messages, the cursor just dead center in the middle of the screen.

Needless to say, I am more and more frustrated. As I'm not particularly computer warned - I am not a root of the others - USB hub I'm out of options...

  • Satellite A30-130 Modem does not work - error 680 not tone

I have a series of portable A30 - 130, recently, I've noticed that when I want to connect to the internet through dial-up connection my modem generates an error that says: error 680, no dial tone.

I am quiet sure that there is a dial tone, and also, I reinstalled windows (Windows XP Professional SP2) can help solve the problem, but I got the same error. I questioned the modem in the modem control panel, every thing is quiet, very well, seems there is no problem, also I have disabled wait for the tone option in the control panel of the modem, but without help.

I bought my laptop in UK however however I am now in Iran and the modem worked well quiet for about two years and all of a sudden the problem arised.
    Can someone help me?

In addition you can introduce me an authorized service center for laptops Toshiba in Iran?

  • Satellite C660 - browser slider slide down of internet pages

    Hi people,

I have a problem with a Toshiba Satellite C660 I on the temporary loan out of warranty.

Win 7 Home 64 bit. SP1. 4 MB of ram.
Recently, the original HARD drive failed and it was replaced with a Samsung HP - M 160MBB with a new Win 7 full reload from scratch.

The old HDD has been completely destroyed and there was no available recovery disk.

The problem is that the slider will not slide down of internet pages - sound of intermittent problems.

I go on the internet and open any long page (for example, google news, a newspaper or even the site of Microsoft Troubleshooting).

When I want to read further down the page I would usually put the trackpad pointer or the mouse pointer over the vertical slider on the right left click and hold and drag the slider to the bottom of the page.

    * Sometimes, that works well, but more often the picture vibrates and the cursor jitters and refuses to leave his post or pops up after a short trip down *, so that you can not read any further down than the original bottom of the screen.

    Sometimes it clears itself.
Sometimes he might work ok for a while but then returned to this problem, it is not really usable as it is.

It doesn't seem to be any obvious reason or because of this behavior, and sometimes I use the trackpad or usb mouse.

I am on wireless and the signal is 'excellent' but I tried with a cable connection and the same thing happened.

It doesn't happen with the horizontal slider, if for example, I reduce the width of the window in order to show the horizontal slider, even if it still occurs with the vertical slider.

However if there is an additional vertical slider on the left side (in the case of Google News with his mini menu) this cursor behaves in the same way if the right slider is ongoing upward.

There seems not to be with the long Word or Excel documents, suggesting that it is limited to the internet.
I tried with IE9, Chrome and Firefox and the problem arises * with all three * browsers.

The previous owner suggests now that this has happened with the original HARD disk, and the previous version of Windows 7.

I checked that all the drivers are up to date. Win 7 is fully updated.
    No apparent virus problem.
    I swapped mouse without success.
The Device Manager said that all affected devices are working OK.

I tried the MS recommended routine clean boot without success, I suspect mainly because wireless internet becomes invalid if the fault would become unclear.

    Any ideas please?
    Cheers. Junior

    Hello

I can say s material certainly NO problem.
You take on internet browsers so I guess that the same issue does not happen using Word or other applications where the bar scroll right is available.

Maybe the problem is caused by some add-ons installed for internet browsers
Who knows what applications have been installed on the systems

  • Satellite Pro A60: NTLDR is missing

Satellite Pro A60 tells me when I turn on that I have a ntldr is missing, press ctrl + alt + delete to restart.
So I tried reinstalling and it will not let says me I file setupdd.sys could not be loaded error code is 4 Setup cannot continue to press a key to exit.

    Hello

If it of not possible to restore the operating system of the Toshiba CD recovery if the HARD drive or only the partition is damaged or corrupted.
According to Microsoft description message Setupdd.sys could not be loaded. 4 error code may occur if your computer contains a material that is damaged or is not compatible with Windows XP.

"Well, I also found Microsoft troubleshooting document on the NTLDR is missing ' error message.

I think you should follow the guidelines. If it doesn t help trying to format the whole HARD drive, delete all partitions and launch the installation from the original Windows XP boot CD
