Microsoft Wireless 5000 mouse not recognized by Windows 7, after Vista update

2 days ago I upgraded my Dell Dimension e521 from Vista to Windows 7 - it was the upgrade, not own full installation.

Everything is apparently very well, except the mouse I had used throughout the process, was now does not. The mouse is a Microsoft Wireless 5000, part of the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000 BlueTrack-keyboard mouse, USB packet. The keyboard, which share the same USB wireless receiver is entirely sensible.

I tried the following to resolve the problem, without success;

-Uninstall and reinstall the software for the keyboard and mouse

-Purchase of a new set office (indicated on the packaging as "compatible with Windows 7") and through the complete installation.

-Going to Device Manager and check/update the driver EVERY. They are all now current.

-J' I followed all the advice on the page of Microsofts "Troubleshooting a wireless mouse that does not correctly.

+ I changes the batteries on the two devoces

+ I have tried different ports

+ I have tested the device on another computer

+ I tried to use the mousinfo tool

+ I tried to use the appwiz.cpl application, to find the incompatible software, but but no program appears when I type appwiz.cpl in the start search box.

+ Reset after every time I changed something.

None of these steps resulted in no changes - the keyboard is still sensitive, but the mouse is dead. I do not receive the error messages, the cursor just dead center in the middle of the screen.

Needless to say, I am more and more frustrated. As I'm not particularly computer warned - I am not a root of the others - USB hub I'm out of options...

Help, please!

  • After the sleep, keyboard & mouse not recognized by windows 7

After sleeping for awhile, wake the computer or another restart button on my computer, or by pressing a mouse button, the computer wakes up, but Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit does not recognize the media PS2 Microsoft Natural Keyboard or USB MS Comfort Optical Mouse 1000.  I use the drivers that came with Windows 7 instead of Intellipoint and IntelliType Pro drivers.  Note that the machine wakes up with the mouse, and if the machine has been asleep only a few moments, the mouse and the keyboard are recognized in the morning.

For those who can still be interested in this problem, its replacement by a keyboard USB solved the problem of recognition once the computer wakes from sleep.

  • Error message: this operation requires an interactive window station while trying to install drivers for Microsoft Life Chat LX-3000 and Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000

Okay, so I bought recently when a helmet (Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000) and a mouse (Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000) wireless, but my laptop Windows Vista Home Premium is having problems with the installation and execution of the drivers for these two devices.

Original title: driver for headset and a wireless mouse will not install correctly

I already had the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 and had no problems whatsoever doing this job, but I got it for at least a year I guess. I also installed the software that came with the CD (called Microsoft Mouse, even though it says on the CD Intellipoint 7.1) for the mouse and driver online for headphones (called helmet Microsoft) have also downloaded. However, when I plug in the devices, he's trying to find the drivers. Initially, it comes up with a window saying "New hardware found" and has the ability to "locate and install driver software", despite the fact that I already supposed to be installed the drivers through download programs or to use the CD.

In any case, I select the "locate and install driver software" and it says "search Windows Update... «for 30 seconds or so, then said «Installing the driver software...» ».

I then get a message saying "Windows has encountered a problem... etc... This operation requires an interactive window station. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit their website and check the support section for driver software. »

If I disconnect and reconnect the device, I get the same situation with "new hardware found" and the options for search again...

I tried both devices on another computer (Windows XP) and they manage to set up automatically even without the software provided on the CD or on the website and work perfectly well, however I need them working on my laptop ;)

So I guess the main problem is that I get this message "interactive window station" preventing the drivers to install correctly. I have no idea what this means and have spent a lot of time trying to find them online.

Well, I've resorted to re - install Windows Vista and installed very well both automatically when it is plugged.

Now to reinstall all my programs... fun fun fun...

    Thanks for your help anyway!

  • My Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse does not communicate with the Transceiver.

After the return from a road trip, I plugged my Miccrosoft wireless optical mouse and keyboard. At first, communicate with my Toshiba Satellite laptop, but the keyboard now works. The mouse works sporadically if I push the reset button on the Transceiver and he travels the three lights. When I check the State of the mouse, it shows good batteries (I replaced the still) and the right signal. The computer apparently see the mouse, but somehow the orders do not get through the ARVA. Any ideas?

    Hi Peter,.

What is the model number of the Microsoft Wireless Optical mouse?

I suggest you try to connect the transceiver to another port. Then check the behavior of the device. By trying the receiver on a different port, you can eliminate all the problems affecting the port itself.

  • Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 problems.

I'm using Windows vista 32-bit on a Dell Studio 15 laptop.  I have a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500.  I plugged the nano-receiver into my USB port and installed the driver but the mouse does not work.  It does not work if I move my mouse or click on the buttons.  I have bluetooth activated on my laptop but there is no button on the mouse or nano receiver to synchronize with the laptop.  I searched and searched the Internet to try to find an answer, but I don't see anything.  Can anyone help please?

A couple of things you can look at at\try:

    1. Since beginning--> search box type mouse, when the application Microsoft Mouse appears select.
    2. Select the Dell Touchpad tab, then click on the picture to open the properties of the Touchpad.
    3. In the properties of the Touchpad, choose Device Select.
    4. Check the box that says "Disable touchpad/ponting stick when external USB mouse is present".
    5. Press OK.

From my experience with Dell laptops, I have also found that sometimes an external USB mouse fails to be recognized because of some quirks with power and USB. Let the wired mouse, then turn off the laptop and unplug the battery for about two minutes. Turn on the machine again and see if the 'magical' mouse appears.
