If you are unable to install a program, you can follow the steps to uninstall from the computer.

Step 1: use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility for delete all entries (uninstall program) that are associated with the product that you're having trouble:

Download and then install the Microsoft Windows Cleanup utility. To do this, see the Microsoft Web site:

    http://download.Microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

Save the file to the desktop. When the download is complete, double-click the file and then follow the directions. When the installation is complete, click Start, point to all programsand then click Windows Installer Cleanup.

In the list of the products installed , delete all entries that are related to the product you have installed wrong. If there are too many entries, click select all, and then click Remove. When you have deleted all entries, click exit, and then start the installation of the product

  • I keep getting failed when you try to download the required update just get error 66A

I tried questions from what I can understand, but still get failed whenever I try to download this critical update.

66A error keeps appearing every time.

    Hi doors,

    1. who is the essential update that fails to install?

    2. is the problem isolated to any particular update?

    3. what operating system is installed on the computer?

    Try the following steps:

    Step 1:

Temporarily disable the antivirus software and check if it helps:

    Caution:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

Reset Windows components updates default and check to see if it helps:

  • When I try to logoff, the screen starts to Flash as trying to load screen and then finally shuts down the computer.

    Original title: Windows 7 problem

I will have questions all the time my office. When I try to shut down rather than get the loggin screen the screen starts flashing as trying to load screen and then finally shuts down the computer. I just bought the computer and it runs Windows 7. What could be the problem? Oh I forgot to mention that, after that I start the computer the configuration screen appears saying that windows did not close normally and if I want to start in safe mode.

    Hello

Here are a few questions to better understand the issue:

1 made only while off log?

    2. what happens when you restart?

3 have you tried with different user accounts?

4 you did changes to the computer before the show?

Let us try the following and see if they help.

Method 1: Check the event viewer for more details on this subject.

Event Viewer is a tool that displays detailed information about important events on your computer.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Event-Viewer

Method 2: Run the following fix:

There is a delay when you stop, restart or log off a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/975777

Method 3: Perform the clean boot and check

It may be that a third-party application is causing this issue. Put the system at boot.

To help resolve the error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Please note: After troubleshooting, be sure to start your computer in normal mode by following step 7.

Method 4: I suggest you make a system full scan just to be sure.

Here is a link that will give you information on how to perform a full scan of the system:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

, Note 1: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note 2: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • get stuck when you try to run an installer built in!

Hello, all!  I'm new to the forum.  I worked on and off LabVIEW Development.  One of my projects, it must be that I am building a VI to download information from a PLC.  The information is laid out in an excel file, where a macro is ran by program to convert the news for a more user-friendly look and playback.

This is my first, an installer of construction so I thought to test.  When I packed the VI into an executable and a Setup program, it was all smooth sailing.  However, when I tested the installation program on several computers (with no LV or LV - RTE), few took 5 to 10 minutes to complete the installation.  Others are stuck initially in the installation process... generally when the process is to install 'Microsoft Run Time Engine.  On a computer, the installation process was canceled and restarted several times without success.  Then, the next morning (after a reboot), the installation worked without problem.  On another computer, I did the whole 'install-cancel-restart install' process.  After three times I checked the Manager task and noticed it was also a lot of files msiexec.exe continues even after that facility had been cancelled and the interface of the closed facility.  I ended up all msiexec.exe, ran again the installation process, and it went smoothly from 0 to 100%.

Although it's great that I had the installer through smoothly after completing the msiexec process, it cannot do as the solution to an installation complete.

Has anyone ever run into this issue?  Computers, on which I have tested are all connected to the company network, but the files are installed in C:\Program Files.  I'll test the installation on personal laptops and computers to see if it is some kind of security problem Admin/Norton/as our IT has implemented.

    Hi all

Thanks to those who responded to try and help me.  After a few weeks of investigation, I came to the following conclusion: the LV Installer built is suspended due to the msiexec Windows XP.  I found a few online solutions, one of them involving "restoration" the MSI installer (I don't remember the other...).  Due to the nature of the software that I build, users enter in their records is not a viable option.  Instead, the following roundabout will have to:

1 Win - XP user installs the software.

    2. If installation of Win - XP user is suspended (see the attached picture where I hung on a PC Win - XP), they will have to open the Task Manager and "complete the process -" all processes msiexec.exe... after a few seconds, the installation prompts the user that a certain file failed to install and ask if they want to continue.  The user will click on continue and repeat if Setup hangs again.  This should be done until the installation is complete (that I had to do this three times repeatedly).  At the end (if I remember correctly), the installation prompts the user that the process has failed.

At this point, the installation closes. BUT all the necessary files seem to be there.  The software seems to work ok with several test is running - no problem.

As I am short on time and have to run out of the office... I just remembered that the alternative is to try to install on the administrator account.  Probably, the reason why the installer crashes is because the given user account has permissions to read/write appropriate in C:\Program Files.

Any thoughts are appreciated.  Thanks LV community - have a good weekend!

  • Word 7 crashes when you try to import the Contact address using wizard envelope - Vista problem?

Title says all... am processor amd quadcore 2750 8 GHz with Vista Home Premium and MS Office 07 Small business.  The Envelope Wizard worked once, but word crashes whenever I try to import an Outlook 07 contacts address. Some reading of literature in ms site suggests that this may be a problem of vsta.  Can you help me solve it m e?

    Hello Bob Cannon Surrey,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft answers Forum.

Once Word hangs, it leaves corruption behind him. When Word opens it creates a large number of hidden temporary files. When the file is closed, they are no longer needed and are closed. However, if Word crashes and fails to recover, these temporary files are left behind and can cause problems or prevent you re-opening your document, or failed to start.

Using Windows Explorer, look in the Windows temp folder. It is most likely in C:\Windows\Temp or : \Documents and Settings\Settings\Temp, unless you have moved to another location.  You can safely remove everything in this folder. Windows does not allow you to delete anything actually being used, so you may have to restart to release the locked files.

You will need to search for additional files that begin with ~$*.do* and delete them. Temporary files are usually hidden then click on advanced options and select the option search for hidden files. You need to configure Explorer to show hidden files and the extensions of the file types that you want to know (Tools > Folder Options).

Repeat the search in places where you store your Word documents, by default the Documents folder and subfolders that you may have created some files named *.tmp.

Then try again and see if you can import your contact addreesses successfully.

If please reply back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem or if you need assistance. Please include the exact error messages.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn

  • I get tea when I try to install the new version of itunes: an older version of Hello can not be removed contact your technical support group

old version of Hello can not be removed contact your technical support group. Please help, thanks

To perform a "clean" iTunes installation uses this technique proposed, from Support of Apple HT1926 article.

Warning: uninstall utility for cleaning Windows mentioned in the instructions below has been removed from Microsoft download servers because sometimes it seems more removed he was supposed to (I think that this phenomenon was linked to the bureau uninstalls).  You can still get utility Windows Installer Cleanup--> http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html here is a free alternative Revo Uninstaller. Before using these cleaning products, you must create a restore point from the system first (or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT).  See http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htm a complete disk image would be safer if you have this ability.

Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs
    Remove these applications:
    1 Apple Software Update
    2. Apple Mobile Device Support
    3 Hello
4 iPod for Windows (this may or may not exist, be it, it is not necessary, then we can remove it)
    5 iTunes
    6 QuickTime

Open my computer > C: > Program Files
    Delete this files (if present)
    1 iPod
    2 iTunes
    3 QuickTime

    Empty your temp directory:
Open my computer > C: > Documents & Settings > username > Local Settings and delete the contents of the folder called "Temp".

If you don't see the local settings, enable hidden files:
Tools > Folder Options > view tab
Select Show Hidden Files & folder, and then click OK

Once this file is empty, restart the computer

Download & install the Windows Installer Cleanup (see caution above) utility
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301/
Launch the utility: start > programs > Windows Installer Clean Up
Select one of the applications mentioned above and click on remove

    Restart the computer
Download & reinstall iTunes from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
