  I know it's a common problem with the Mini 110 and tried a few solutions here in the forums.

  The last done worse.

  Computer is a HP Compaq Mini 110 c-1040DX

  System - Win XP Sp 3

  Symptoms before: I had his advance bu the sound was cracklely and gargled - I discovered that it was a codec problem or at least it seems to be. After removal of all players and codecs and reinstall everything just its VLan and WMP 11 was fine. Worked very well. That's all a week or two ago.

  Watching a tutorial - the next night, I think I've installed the driver for Qualcom. Tried to watch a tutorial and no noise at all.

  Current symptoms:

  No sound video

  No sound from audio files

  No sound from speakers.

  No sound from headphones.

  Actions have been: I searched and found here in the Forums a few people have had the same issue - I ddn can't see unresolved to this day.

  I pretty much everything uninstalled all drivers for pretty much everything and re-installed them - deleted and reinstalled all players, including a rear roll of WMP.

  Still no sound at all.

  I followed the instructions here by HP that said to go in safe mode and remove all audio drivers, leaving codes. I went a step further and removed the IDT Audio Codec.

  Re-started-re-installed the codec IDT Audio Driver.

  And here's where the problem is getting worse... Driver Audio HP's will not reinstall drivers. Only codecs.

  Missing now and I can't find are the High Definition Audio Controller and driver AUE.

  Currently still no sound and now... no drivers...

  I really need the audio back working on this model.

  I don't have installation CD/DVD and it is DVD player anyway - no I do not have an external.

  It is there no on this comp recovery partitiion is... (HP has really thought this through the I see)

  I worked on it for a few days now...

  Anyone mind giving me a hand to solve this problem.

  Firstly of course, I need the audio drivers and controllers...

  An ISO of the OS would be nice if someone hosted him for this model as well.

  being human, there is no dvd drive a whole... HP hosts ISO to download right...?

  Sorry if I seem a bit short, but... I followed the instructions of HPs, and now I'm more secure that I was when I started.

  And no solution was never displayed

  Nobody here actually found a solution in one of the last sons.

  No one dared even to give a solution in the place where the drivers are that are needed are not on the page of the driver for this model

  Or did someone post a link to the operating system that is the only way to install this OS to have ISO or an additional external DVD drive.

  So another words - there is no real computer scientists on this forum who can manage to help solve this issue or any other issue that does not pointing to the pilots in the section driver on the site of HP - right?

  And HP - guess we'll have to Tweet away from bring you to post the solution and still less the ISO yourself rather than wait on everyone else to solve the problem for you.

  And even though I have several - you can see why I hate to buy HP or any other prefabricated comp or laptop.

  They do not support them - and support forums cannot make it past a determination that does not include pointing to links hosted pilot.

  I try to repair my old HP mini 110-1110SA but it has a bios lock and I forgot the password AND ALL 3 TIMES I TRY A word PAST IT FROZEN. BTW, my mini HP serial number is CNU93954WV. He showed me a screen blank and it says enter the current password in the center of the screen.

• HP Mini 110 (XP) - no sound after reinstallation

  Hello! I have a problem after reinstalling my HP Mini 110 and would appreciatte any comment on that.

  I formatted the pc and installed a new version of XP Home edition (SP2).
  Everything went very smooth and all the drivers where installed (downloaded from the HP driver support site).

  Video, network, Intel Wifi chipset, Bios, everything works like a charm... expect for AUDIO.

  I installed the driver IDT, but at the start of the installation it says something in the sense of "your audio device is not supported by this installer" and stops.

  I tried with several different drivers (all from HP site) with no luck.

  Another thing that caught my attention, it's that there is no audio device in the "material management" tab of the system... No sound card is detected! It seems really weird to me...

  What could be the problem? Clues? I must point out that the format of the sound card worked perfectly.

  My computer is a HP Mini 110 (LA 1020).

  Well Finally I solved it. !!

  The thing is simple... As soon as I installed SP3, the material was detected and drivers accepted without problem.

  Storms XP SP2 will NOT work with the IDT audio device. Just updated to SP3 and immediately the sound card started working.

  See p. 54 on the hard drive. She straight plug the motherboard, but it shows a cart or make sledding which does not move there and the SSD is welded to a SATA connector. For some time I took one of these apart.

  A co-worker of mine asked if I would be able to upgrade their hard drive and ram in their HP Mini 110... so, I did.  After the installation of the new (is increased from 1 GB of ram, 2 GB of ram... went from 160 GB hard drive on a hard disk of 500 GB)... turned on the laptop and it read: fatal system error code: CNU93908KQ
