Missing Bluetooth

The option activate Bluetooth and discover devices (like my Bluetooth keyboard, mouse and PC speakers) and devices seems to have disappeared after one of my updates. When I search for it, no option to turn on or off is available.

have you installed the latest display driver? Happened to me once I applied it. Selected Show hidden devices (Bluetooth HID and ranked 3 times), had to return to device, erased Manager. Still applied the latest display drivers and Bluetooth has been installed. Display drivers are supposed to include drivers for BT, but in this case, it actually disabled using normal installation. Happened on V11P 7130 i5 Ms.

If I understand your post above you have Bluetooth installed correctly but your device or devices are not installed correctly. To solve the devices without doing is not correct, try the following steps.

Step 1. Go to Device Manager

Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth device"

Step 3. Select "update driver software... »

Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software".

  • Live X 220 missing Bluetooth unit

    Hello

I took my 220 part X to install an mSATA SSD. After teaching videos, I also noticed that my X 220 missing a screw that holds the unit bluetooth in place.

    1. I contacted technical support / warranty team who told me it was a problem for WebSales team (as I bought it via the Lenovo Web site).
    2. Contact WebSales team, they tell me that they cannot do anything because it is a problem for technical assistance / guarantee of team.
    3. On technical support / warranty team a second time, they maintain that it is a matter of WebSales.
    4. Contact WebSales team, they maintain that it is a Technical Support / warranty issue. They mentioned two other options for me: return the laptop for a refund or attempt to acquire the screw and send it to a recipe that they would reimburse me the cost.

What I'm after is a replacement for the missing screw that keeps the Bluetooth unit in. Return and refund of a laptop because it is missing a screw seem excessive.

Teams follow the instructions / guidelines they received, but as a long time customer (T42p, X 301 X 220) ThinkPad, it's frustrating to be constantly bounced between teams when it seems that the solution is really simple.

If a person of Lenovo if please intervene and help me, it would be much appreciated.

    > How can I check if my Bluetooth on board still work?

First laptop was equipped with BT and the BT should work.
I see that you have installed the OS manually

If you want to check if the BT module still works then use the Toshiba Recovery CD and reinstall the new OS. The Toshiba Recovery CD contains and supports all the drivers of Toshiba and after the installation of the new and the laptop back to factory settings switching BT should work using the FN + F8 key combination.

I got a Yoga 2 13. I just finished the upgrade of 8.1 for Windows 10. After the upgrade I can't see the possibility to connect bluetooth devices, nor what I see the driver Bluetooth listed in Device Manager. I downloaded and installed the drivers for Bluetooth 10 Windows from the support site (2cyb01af.exe), but it still does not come back.

I see a "unknown USB device (device descriptor failed) driver in the Device Manager." Show properties

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor has failed.

I suspect this is the driver for the bluetooth, but I'm not sure. If someone did an upgrade and had this problem.

    Hello Rick

Yes, I've tried both and the Intel was one that worked.

I was able to solve the problem. I had to do a full reboot, not only the windows restart. I finished the startup in the BIOS, the Bluetooth was back to check if there was something there that has been disabled, and when I went back to windows.

  • Re: Missing Bluetooth | HP ENVY 15-j026tx | Windows 8.1

Pouf! No Bluetooth! Here yesterday, has become today!

    I'm having the same problem with a laptop Envy 17 T J 100...

Bluetooth hardware simply disappeared after (I think?) a certain Windows update. Went live with chat support, they invited to uninstall then reinstall the networking and bluetooth drivers, ALL tried and did not get any advantage. The BIOS does not recognize that the radio-transmitter Bluetooth EXISTS in this computer. It was as if a gnome came to my house in the middle of the night, unscrew the lower part of the thing, has crawled around inside, removed the bluetooth equipment and replaced with a WAD of styrofoam.

I KNOW it is Bluetooth inside the thing - say the plug; the order sheet confirms that I paid for it; I've used it before. I don't know when it came out, but when I tried to use it yesterday, it wasn't there. My area has had a problem with internet due to a storm, so I thought that I attach my cell phone and its data (via the cell tower) to my laptop for a little bit, see how it goes, but I noticed when I got the phone and the laptop next to each other, WHAT? BLUETOOTH NO MORE? BUT WHY?

And I'm sure it's an update of Windows and HP incompatibilities, which are the culprits. Nothing yet HP or Windows programmers. It has something to do with the management of energy, maybe. But because I can not ANY software to ADMIT that the material EXISTS, there is no way to force-power for the equipment.

BLUETOOTH HAS DISAPPEARED. DIFFICULTY PLEASE. Thank you.

  • Suddenly missing Bluetooth

Recently, I buy the laptop HP G62-a21SA, the specification of the system indicated there is bluetooth on the system.

This worked well for about a month, yesterday when I turn on the computer. I noticed the bluetooth suddenly not working do not, because I use the bluetooth mouse.

I checked the Wireless Assistant, Bluetooth is no longer listed here to turn.

I checked the Device Manager, bluetooth therein is gone too, I'm trying to scan its not registered new hardware and cannot find new hardware.

I was trying to turn the button wireless, but stilll not re-turn/mentions the computer bluetooth.

I try to check the BIOS, the bluetooth CF line is listed without number.

I've been perfectly how to get bluetooth back on or listed tower / work in 64-bit Windows 7?

    Anyhelp would be very thanksful.

Let me better than my previous post password.

    Basiclly the situration is:

Laptop come with 2070 Boardcom driver installed and include in the Recovery Manager tools.

However, the bluetooth of my model module is the bluetooth driver integrate HP, NOT boardcom 2070 pilot, as boardcom 2070 is one that have the map combo WLAN & bluetooth.

Use boardcom 2070 driver on the hp bluetooth module integrate, cause unstable result and bluetooth module overheats.

If overheated, the bluetooth module will not detect in BIOS/Device Manager.

If this isn't the case, overheating, it will come back as unknown usb devices. If it is very cold, it will detect and work.

After the driver installation to integrate HP Modules, all these problems have disappeared. BIOS/device manager able to find the bluetooth, the computer generates less heat.

If the cause is 2070 boardcom driver, which would cause the bluetooth module overheating. But not quiet sure, why the laptop has been this driver installed by default when purchase and does not include the HP rider integrate you.

Hope that this summary the cause of the problem and solution you.

  • Beats Studio Wireless - Device missing Bluetooth for Windows 7 64 bit OS drivers

I have a HP Elitebook 9480 m notebook, running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit OS.  I just got this machine and my previous machine was running Windows 7 32 bit OS.

My problem is that when I go to install my wireless on the Elitebook Beats Studio headphone, it does not find the Bluetooth device drivers.

I called Apple support (now support produced Beats), contacted HP support and visited with my COMPUTER service company hoping to copy the drivers through my old machine (helmet worked on an old machine) and no solution has been found.

Copy the drivers through did not work as my machine would not find them when we asked it to look for them.  We have, however, learned that the driver that was used on my old machine was a Microsoft driver, specifically the pilot called btwavdt.sys.

I need an updated version of this driver, or the equivalent of 64-bit if it is not already compatible with 64 bit computers, in order to properly install my helmet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
