NTLDR missing in Windows Vista (Clean Install). Help, please.
I have a Dell laptop which comes preinstalled with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium. A few days ago I reinstalled Windows vista with the Vista CD provided with my Dell computer. Everything went well. I even had SP2 installed for vista. Suddenly, without warning, I get this error message: "NTLDR missing_ press any key to restart '. I can boot is no longer. I need your help! Thank you!
A few points to consider:
- I tried all the Vista DVD repair options, including restoring the system.
- My computer NEVER had XP (EVER) when I say never, I mean. I'm emphasizing this because all the foums I look, people are you answer saying, data are left form XP or an earlier version of windows Installation. This may not be the case for me!
- I tried Windows 7 RC on my laptop. (It has now disappeared)
Once more, I really appreciate your help!Hello
Your boot sector is damaged and a startup repair is the best option. You can also follow the steps detailed here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/927392?p=1 to fix it manually from WinRE.

Missing Microsoft - Windows Vista 64-bit games
No longer any games listed in the Games folder, even if they WERE there at the same time and even if they are listed and checked in turn Windows features On and Off the control panel. How can I reload them? Where did they go?
I think I know what happened. It seems that the Fix - It Utilities 11 program may have messed up some components of windows, including the games. I found all the shortcuts in game in the trash at the same time I installed the Fix - It program with a bunch of other files. I restored all the game related shortcuts and tried the Turn WIndows features we and Off again (somewhere on the way with my difficult things they apparently turned off) and all the games that are marketed with success (even though it took quite a while). So I seem to be back in business. But I uninstalled Fix - It Utilities and don't use it yet! (I saw a LOT of bad reviews for the program on CNET.)

How can I get Mahjong Titans to randomize tile placement?
How can I get Mahjong Titans to randomize the placement of tile in each presentation. It seems that whenever I chose a layout, I get the same tile scheme and have to keep reselecting the provision, which produces the placement of tile predefined following until I finally get to one that I have not played. Without randomization, it's virtually worthless after the first week.
There also seem to be some patterns that appear any iteration of a layout, I generate (for example, in the turtle, regardless of the tile is at the top of the heap will have a matching tile among the four tiles it is sitting on). You can very well play on movements of opening with closed eyes for each version of each layout.

I tried to start one of the games for free in Windows Vista (Chess Titans, FreeCell, hearts, Mahjong Titans, Solitaire etc.) but I get an error measage: "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associaction Control Panel". {Error code: C:\User\Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\GamesExplorer\{00D8862B-6453-4957-A...}.
These games, used to work until I have connected on the Microsoft web site and search for updates.I went to control panel default programs - programs - '-' associate a file or protocol type with a program, without success.
Can anyone help or give advice as to re-download these games?

Windows 7 Home Premium - Mahjong Titans game
I use Windows 7 Home Premium. I still can't Mahjong Titans (or any of the Microsoft games) to open - sometimes they do, sometimes they did not. What I am doing wrong, please?
SirBruce
Hi SirBruce,
Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:
1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
2. type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
3. the sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

If it does not help to register a new account to user if the same problem occurs. To create a new user account
1. to open user accounts, click the Start button, select Control Panel, click on accounts of users and parental controlsand then click user accounts.
2. click on Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. click on create a new account.
4 type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.
If the new user account works fine then the old account has been corrupted, you can follow the link given below to fix the corrupted user profile.

You want to install Mahjong Titans on Windows XP.
Original title: Mahjong Titans on Windows XP.
I am trying to find a way to download Mahjong Titans game on my laptop which runs on Windows XP. I think it is usually only a standard game on Windows Vista. Can anyone tell if I can do this and how?
Hi PeterKnowles,
The Mahjong Titans game comes only pre-installed in Windows Vista, Windows 7.
To play the game in Windows XP, you can use your favorite search engine to download the game from any third-party company.
Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.
Hope the helps of information.
