  • Help - Audio Service is NOT running - Windows Vista

    Hello

I checked several websites & forums solution to my problem before asking the question here. A week Audio feedback from my computer started to give me problems. At first the audio suddenly stops during normal operation & would not return unless I restart my system. Then I tried to reinstall my audio driver & has managed to do this. But now, I see an 'X' mark next to the sound icon in my bar of tasks & says 'Service Audio does not work' here is the penalty shot I made:

    --> Administrative Tools Panel--> Services

Plug & Play is WE & auto

  • NTLDR missing in Windows Vista (Clean Install). Help, please.

I have a Dell laptop which comes preinstalled with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium. A few days ago I reinstalled Windows vista with the Vista CD provided with my Dell computer.  Everything went well. I even had SP2 installed for vista. Suddenly, without warning, I get this error message: "NTLDR missing_ press any key to restart '. I can boot is no longer. I need your help! Thank you!

    A few points to consider:

    • I tried all the Vista DVD repair options, including restoring the system.
    • My computer NEVER had XP (EVER) when I say never, I mean. I'm emphasizing this because all the foums I look, people are you answer saying, data are left form XP or an earlier version of windows Installation. This may not be the case for me!
    • I tried Windows 7 RC on my laptop. (It has now disappeared)
Once more, I really appreciate your help!

    Hello

Your boot sector is damaged and a startup repair is the best option. You can also follow the steps detailed here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/927392?p=1 to fix it manually from WinRE.

  • "No Audio device is installed" in Windows Vista.

Back in September 2011, I lost mysteriously my audio. I have a red X on my "speaker" icon in my system tray. When I put the cursor on the "speaker" icon, I get this message "No Audio Device Installed. I went to HP customer web page and found the audio driver: Realtek High Definition Audio Version 6.0.1.5548 (sp37324.exe). I downloaded the program and recorded on my download folder. I put a shortcut to it on my desktop. The only way I can get sound whenever I turn on my computer I click with the right button on the desktop shortcut and run as an administrator and install the program. Turn on my sound. It works as long as I keep the computer. Whenever I restart the computer I'm back for the red X on the "speaker" icon.

Now, Windows Update sent me (on 3 occasions the last two weeks) a update "option"... Realtek High Definition Audio. Every time I have download and install and do a restart, but I get the same red X on the "speaker" icon. It's Ground Hog Day!

My question: is it safe to uninstall the Realtek High Definition Audio driver and reinstall the sp37324.exe without totally send my audio into a black hole? BTW, I don't have a recovery disk.

I hope that someone on this forum can help me. I've exhausted all remedies.

Alto! It worked. I uninstalled the Realtek Audio (in Device Manager), did a reboot and the computer does the repair (reinstalled audio) itself. I didn't have to manually reinstall.

    1 million thanks!

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

  • Missing Microsoft - Windows Vista 64-bit games

No longer any games listed in the Games folder, even if they WERE there at the same time and even if they are listed and checked in turn Windows features On and Off the control panel.  How can I reload them?  Where did they go?

I think I know what happened.  It seems that the Fix - It Utilities 11 program may have messed up some components of windows, including the games.  I found all the shortcuts in game in the trash at the same time I installed the Fix - It program with a bunch of other files.  I restored all the game related shortcuts and tried the Turn WIndows features we and Off again (somewhere on the way with my difficult things they apparently turned off) and all the games that are marketed with success (even though it took quite a while).  So I seem to be back in business.  But I uninstalled Fix - It Utilities and don't use it yet!  (I saw a LOT of bad reviews for the program on CNET.)
