  I bought a copy of Creative Suite 2 education for Windows some time ago, but never recorded the CD key in my Adobe account. The program, as far as I know, is never disabled correctly (computer - FRY mounted sudden power aren't fun) and I've never bothered trying to reactivate the program again.

  Well, turns out that I will buy Creative Suite 5 soon, and I was wondering if I can use my old license education upgrade to Creative Suite 5 at retail.   Yes you can use it. The upgrade of the suite is much cheaper than the upsell of the individual product. Education versions with full rights to level of detail. You will need the serial number for verification during the installation of CS5. Your timing is pretty good, too.

  No need to install CS2 first before installing the improved CS5.

  Just install CS5, enter your serial number CS5 upgrade, and then enter the serial number CS2 as a product calling.

  Tarinam96588818 that's right, education serial numbers are not accepted for upgrades.  You have Photoshop CS3 education license registered under your account.  Not accept Photoshop CS5 as a serial number eligible.

I'm on dial upward at home that makes a such impossible dowload (52 hours!) so I took my lap top to the library where they have high-speed and downloaded there, after a lot of difficulties. I then transferred via Flash DRIVE on my home computer where it shows on my desk (it is a method I have used for many downloads in the past), I click on the app install and then get a message this initialization failed but offers no reason. No reason is offered in either Tuning Advisor. I tried several times to re - install, but the result is always the same. I went back to my lap top to check and everything works well here, but it's not where I want to use I have only used the lap top to facilitate downloading. Can anyone offer a solution?

  FYI: The upgrade path is in the instructions to upgrade the firmware with the firmware version, to which you want to upgrade.

  6.0.2-> 7.1.11->-> 9.0 8.1.4.   Not all type of controller supports 8.x or 9.x.  What model table do you currently have?

  You will need to restart after each upgrade before loading the next version.

  I bought the CS5.5 Web Design Premium equivalent to benefit from free to CS6 upgrade when it is released.

  After too breaking autour with Adobe services customer (week after week), I finally received mail upgrade disc (I am based in the United Kingdom).

  The problem I have now is that this disc has become scratched and I look forward to receiving another disc.

  After talking with someone via chat online, I was told that only those who have purchased an online copy may download it. As I bought directly through Adobe by phone, I had no right to an automatically generated download link.

  The upgrade also does not appear in my product pages.

  So, can someone please help to know where I can download a copy of the upgrade, rather than wait for it to pass in the post?

  As long as you have the serial numbers for the upgraded version and the version of basic (CS6 and CS5.5 respectively in your case) programs will install fine. Download the demo version of www.adobe.com/downloads/ and install the software. The installation will ask you perhaps for the CS5.5 serial number (after you have entered your serial number CS6). The installation file or the setup.exe file is the same on drives and on Adobe.com.

  When I upgraded a while ago of CS2 to CS5, many files I had finished and sent to the printing press has been largely modified when opened in CS5 (orphans and widows were created, generally, the spacing between words in the paragraphs that has changed).   There are huge differences in the text between CS2 and CS5 engines CS5.5 uses the same engine as the CS5, so you should be fine. If you're worried, CS5 export at .idml and open in CS5.5. Which will force all reflux to occur when you open the file rather than waiting until you click in a story.

  Please keep in mind that the only way to turn the clock back CS5.5 for CS5 is to export to .idml. The .indd file is not backward compatible.

  I tried to do an installation of my upgrade XP disc but I get this message: Setup is impossible to pass your current installation of Windows XP. Your current Windows installation is not a supported upgrade path. Setup cannot continue.

  I also tried to use the Sony system recovery CD, but it does not work.

  Hi IAMSOBZ,

  As you install the operating system from a CD to upgrade it you will be asked for support of qualification, you can insert your Windows Millennium Edition or any CD which is an edition less than Windows XP Professional.

  Important: You will need to have a CD of Windows 98/Me/2000 eligible to insert if you are using a version update of XP to clean install. OEM restore disks will not usually fill the eligibility standard. If the restore disc i386 folder, it will work normally.

  a. start your computer from the Windows XP CD-ROM. To do this, insert the Windows XP CD into your CD or DVD and then reboot your computer.

   

  Note: To boot from the Windows XP CD, your computer BIOS settings must be configured to do this.

  b. When you see the message "Press any key to boot from CD", press any key to start the computer from the Windows XP CD.

  c. once the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to start Windows XP Setup.

  d. read the Microsoft software license agreement and press F8.

  e. Setup will scan for previous Windows installations

  f. you will need to replace the CD of XP with your qualifying CD; XP Setup will scan the qualifying CD and ask you to replace it with the XP CD to continue installing XP.

  g. complete the installation
