I can't believe that you are not able to install the LAN on this Satellite A100 driver!

  • My product key of windows xp home edition does not work?

Good while my laptop was a major virus, so after 5 antivirus, antispyware programs could not locate or get rid of it, I had no choice but to re - install windows xp home edition. But the problem is that my product key does not work. Why is this and what can I do, I don't have money to buy another computer laptop/product key

    Dell inspiron 6400

p.s the guarantee expired already tried that one.

In this case, you are probably using the wrong type of disc.

You MUST use an OEM disc with an OEM key in WIndows XP

You MUST use a disk of Windows XP Home Edition with a WIndows XP Home Key

  • Windows XP Home Edition does not load in any mode after reboot to uninstall Norton

I wanted to get rid of Norton anti-virus, then, I have downloaded and run the Norton Uninstaller. After what seemed an eternity he finished and asked me to restart the computer to complete the uninstalation. I clicked the botton "Restart now" and after the screen, which shows the bios is nothing. No loading screen, no beeps or anything else, just black. In addition, it does the same thing in all modes.

I removed the HDD and an IDE to USB for connecting to my mobile backup (Win7 Ultimate) and performed a virus with TrendMicro Titanium antivirus scan + and scan with malewarebytes paid version maleware. No virus or maleware found. So, I ran a check/repair through backup with no found error disc.

I do not have a XP or 7 CD repair/install, nor am I money right now. I really need to get going again.

    Infected computer:

    Compaq Presario M2000

    Windows XP Home Edition SP3

Processor Intel Centrino Pentium M 1.5 GHz

    1 GB of RAM

    Intel Extreme Graphics 2

    Machine backup:

    Dell Inspiron 1501

    Windows 7 Ultimate Edition SP2

    AMD Turion 64 MK - 36 2.0 GHz

    3 GB RAM

    Integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 1150

Looks like you somehow corrupted the bootloader.

If I'm not mistaken, you can technically download disc for Microsoft Windows XP SP3 OEM HOME legally, as long as you use your current license.

You can also communicate with Compaq and request a repair disk.

  • Satellite Pro S300-11Y - downgrade from Windows XP Home edition does not work

But if I do not the last reset on arrival of the downgrade the machine works perfectly, but when I do reboot then when windows starts it works. I try 5 times and still the same. I come back to windows original vista (I did CD to do) and it happens the same problem.

    Any help greatly appreciated,
Thank you and sorry for my bad English.,.

    Jordi

My English is not so perfect, but to be honest, I don't understand you.
Do you mean by reset? Do you mean, finally, restart?

By default the BIOS settings and try to reinstall Windows XP Home edition recovery image.

  • Satellite C660-108 - Windows XP Home Edition does not install

I try to install Windows XP Home Edition on a Toshiba Satellite C660-108, without success.

I changed the BIOS disk in "Compatibility" mode (what is the same thing as "Legacy IDE"?) by following the instructions on a Yahoo Answers question on the same issue.

What has improved the situation, in what I now get an error message a few minutes after installing XP said "Starting Windows" instead of immediately after. The error message is the same that I have already received and is as follows:

"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer...". "Technical information: * STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D663C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Luke

PS - I'm a mac user and do not have much experience in the use of Windows laptops, so I need instructions spelled out clearly enough if possible.

The error could be related to drive HARD and the setting in the BIOS of the controller...
Probably, you need to install Win XP using SATA AHCI mode and to add the driver SATA as described here:

  • Windows XP Home Edition do not recognize the validation key

I'm abroad and currently helping an exchange student colleagues with his laptop before riddled of virus. To know that she was about 6 years without a reinstallation of the machine running, I went ahead and did. Since then, I was unable to activate their copy of Windows XP Home Edition (receive the incorrect product key error) despite the verification on his Toshiba Satellite A105-S361 code. What would be my next step to get this posted thing?

License types must match.  Chances are that the license code on the Toshiba is an OEM license key.  It validates that if Windows XP has been installed from an OEM Windows XP Edition Setup disk family.  If you tried to install Windows by using an XP retail installation disk, types of licenses will not match, and you will get an error similar to the one you describe.  At this point, if you do not have a Toshiba Windows Installer disk or if there is not a recovery partition still on the hard drive (accessible by pressing a button as soon as the monitor is active), you will need to contact Toshiba for more help/support.

  • Problems with the permissions/security configuration XP Home Edition - can not download any software!

I have Norton 360 on my computer.  OS is XP Home Edition. My computer very slow in normal mode (not in SafeMode if) I chatted for 4 hours with the help of Norton Tech... try to allow remote access, which could not happen because the piece of software that must be downloaded has been blocked, and I got a pop-up box saying that security settings do not need to download this software.  Then we tried to download Norton360 to reinstall it, and I got the same message.

Since Explorer crashes constantly, and I'm very furstrated with it, I decided to try the same Firefox downloads.  Software download, but trying to run them, I got a message syaing that I don't have permission to run them.

What should I do?  I'm NOT a computer guru - actually I'm computer disabled... Please help me.

  • XP Home Edition does not start without the installation CD after reinstall.

I reinstalled XP Home Edition on my PC without formatting the drive first in order to keep all of my data.  I have installed all service packs.  However, for some reason, I had to call Microsoft to get validated.  The only problem I have now is that it does not start without the installation CD in the drive.  I have XP on the half before the C drive and me on the back of half.  The reader is a digital WD800JBRTL of Western.  Well it worked like that for years. Why can I now not start without the CD?

    HiNeal2660,

It seems that the NTLDR file is not on the C: drive. NTLDR is the boot loader for all versions of Windows.

You can perform a Windows XP repair installation & check if you are able to start normally.

For more information, please visit this link: perform a repair Installation

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • Windows XP Home Edition does not start: System Configuration Error Code purple?

I ran recently on my Windows XP Home Edition SP3 computer system recovery and once the recovery is finished I rebooted the system and then this message and I'm stuck here.

I don't have any disc that came with the computer because it was very long ago already. I tried to download the 'Home Edition Set Up disk for Floppy Boot Installation of Windows XP"Microsoft, but I can't launch the ff:

    Windows XP Home Edition
    Windows XP Home Edition SP1
    Windows XP Home Edition SP2

I can't create the configuration of disk for home edition, SP1, and SP2 because this computer I use currently is a 64 bit and no floppy drive. That's why I downloaded this instead:

Windows XP Service Pack 3 - file to Image CD ISO-9660

Then I inserted the disc for my Windows XP that has "System Configuration Error" and I tried to restart it but theres just no autoplay or anything that the computer always crosses the "System Configuration Error" message and I don't know how to access the set up disc. What should I do? Help please... :(
