Monitor warranty

I read the post by DELL-Chris M post-its and spoke to customer care, however, I'm still not sure about the guarantee of the monitor.  The U2412M comes with a guarantee of 1 or 3 year? I understand the terms of return of 30 days, but not guarantee length and coverage on the monitor.

I pulled the trigger on the above mentioned yesterday directly from Dell and it came to my attention that the same screen comes with a 3 year warranty / return of 90 days if bought at Costco.

I would appreciate if someone could provide a clear explanation.

Niro

Hi Niro7,

Monitors Dell purchased separately is a manufacturer of 3 years from date of purchase warranty. I ask you to keep the invoice of purchase safe for future reference. However, I am not aware of with Costco return policy. You can check with them for more information about the return policy.

If you have any other questions answer the same mission.

  • Monitor x183H; Flashing orange light/No picture

I have a warranty x183H monitor output, running on Windows XP and know issues make him "warm up" and convey an image. Usually, when you turn on my monitor, the LED will Flash a yellow light for a few seconds, the ACER logo appears on the screen and image will result once the LED lights up in blue.

In recent weeks, it is taken more time and more the blinker orange turns blue and get a resulting image.  This increased to range from a few seconds to more than an hour.  This happens whenever putting off tension or going mode sleep.  I kept the monitor for a week or two, but necessary to restart for some updates and went to the monitor through the power cycle, once again, I got the flashing light orange.  Instead of blue turning after some time, the LED will go completely, then return to blink after a while.  No results of the photo.

I have switched to another monitor (using the same cables) and I have no problem wins a photo or one of the other problems I've mentioned.  Any thoughts on what could be the problem?  Thank you.

    Hello

Sorry to hear about the output of the monitor warranty no longer works and do not post pictures.  Already do you with another monitor troubleshooting and visited account there is no problem with another monitor so you can exclude a computer problem.

Looks like the monitor is the culprit.  Out of warranty the monitors are not repaired and it might be time to buy another controller, you can check with a store local tech to see if they can secure unit.

You do not mention if we deal with vga or dvi port. You may like another check to troubleshooting, if this can be a problem to port.

    Nice day

  • Trying to contact Dell technical support without a serial number on my monitor

    Hello

I am trying to log a problem with my Dell ST2320 monitor. This product is still under the 3 year warranty. However, I can't report the problem because on Dell support pages it ask again me a service tag.  The product doesn't have a number of service in this regard.  The only number I can find on it is what appears to be a serial number.  When I enter this in the pages of Dell support saying it's an invalid service tag.

Can someone please advise me on how can I contact Dell technical support to record the question thank you for any advice.

    See you soon.

Unfortunately, no Service tag number, the phone is your only option.

  • S2240T monitor with touchscreen and 8.1 Windows

I bought a monitor S2240T to use as a touch screen with an R2 of Alienware X 51 (Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Ti 2 GB graphics card,), running Windows 8.1. It works, roughly. I can tap furiously several times before it will respond, and it often just not responding at all. I use a HDMI cable, everything is properly connected, and Device Manager shows the monitor as a tactile device compatible HDMI. It's just that this monitor is not really compatible Windows 8.1? This is not intended as a criticism of Dell or Microsoft, the monitor is actually a large screen, I just want to know if I bought the wrong type of monitor for Windows 8 touchscreen, 1, or it is supposed to work better than this?

Quick update: I recalibrate the touch controls and adjusted the settings for a shorter, lighter touch. Now, it works much better on the half left of my screen only. The right hand of the screen is totally inadmissible to the touch. Is - this Windows 8.1 compatibility not or it's just a defective screen? It is very strange, because touch now works fine on half of the screen!

    Sounds defective.

  • Wrong exit DisplayPort U2414H Dell

    * What is the serial number of 20-digit alphanumeric monitor? CN-0G8FD0-74261-56e-6KVL
    * What is the revision number (A00, A01, etc.)? A03
    * This specific computer model, portable office/computer? Desktop
    * What operating system? Windows 10
    * Which video card? ASUS GeForce GTX 960 2 GB STRIX
    * Which ports are available for the video card? HDMI, 3 x CDM
    * What video output port you use video card video port on the monitor? CDM-> DP in
    * Which cable are you using to set the video card to the monitor? CDM provided <->DP cable in the box.

I bought this monitor just yesterday and DisplayPort connection does not work. It's my second A03 U2414H so I am well aware of the DisplayPort problems on this particular model and I guess I was unlucky and got a bad.

-Swapped the cable supplied CDM between my two monitors, my old A03 U2414H bought the A03 newly purchased U2414H and back of the March. More U2414H works perfectly with the two cables, different on my Cardinal graphics output ports

-Tried to start my computer with only the defective U2414H connected via CDM until the first DP port on my graphics card, no signal passes through. Tried different ports without result. Reconnected the plu U2414H work on the same cables and works perfectly.

-STD I tried my disabled U2414H (DP 1.2) work that does not work either

    -HDMI works perfectly

-Settings are taken up on my screen work and defective. Monitor work work w / and w/o Displayport 1.2 active.

    > Concluded that the GPU works as usual, follow the work except for the connectivity of the RFP.

So I'll be polite and simple about it; is it possible to get a replacement? Not one retailer will replace another working monitor that only has a splintered DP controller. I had a 11 defective Inspiron which had a broken Ribbon touchpad since purchase and my local Dell for assistance has been kind enough to have that fixed on-site next day, can so I ask what are my options for this faulty monitor? I don't want to continue to use this HDMI monitor since it is not my intention, thanks!

You can get it exchanged. The instructions are at the top of the page monitor FAQ, "monitor warranty and replacement instructions.

  • S2740Lb - does not light

    * What is the serial number of 20-digit alphanumeric monitor?  CN-0P7D0G-74261-314-08GL

    * Brief description of the problem monitor?

This monitor was purchased directly from Dell and has been used for a while (~ 6 months) before being stored and then moved to a new location.  When I tried to implement the system at the new location, the monitor did not turn on.  When I plug the power adapter in the power outlet, the green light turns on, but when I plug the power connector in the light on the AC adapter monitor turns off.  The monitor will power any.  I tried a second adapter and also used 3 different cords from wall to adapter that I had, but the behavior is the same - so quite clear the monitor is the question.

Are there common issues that would cause the screen itself to short-circuit the power input like that?  I'm debating taking the back cover of the monitor to see if the connection plate where the monitor connections might have moved and is causing the problem?  Any other suggestions?

    Thank you very much.

Manufactured 01/04/13. Is still under warranty through 04/01/16. Enter the service tag number here to check the status of the guarantee. Right, green adaptor LED must remain lit when plugged into the monitor. Remove the rear panel would void any remaining warranty. I would simply get the Exchange monitor if the warranty is still good.

  • Power ST2420L

Hi, I have a problem with my ST2420L monitor. Every few minutes, the screen is off.

I have to unplug the power, wait a minute, plug it back and turn it on. I don't think that it is in power saving mode as the orange led is not lit. The monitor is connected to a graphics via the DVI port. In the beginning, I think that my graphics card is broken. If I connect the monitor via the VGA input as a secondary monitor to my laptop. I met the same problem. What's wrong with my monitor? TIA.

Reposition the power supply in the monitor. Test the other end directly into the wall (no surge protector). If problems continue, get it exchanged.

  • U2713HM, grilled?

Hi guys, I bought a Dell U2713HM monitor exactly 1 month ago. I used it regularly without problems until this. When I turned on the screen today, there is no display at all, just a black screen with a grey ring important along the border of the screen. OSD does not appear when I tried to do a factory reset. The monitor is connected through a DVI. I swapped a HDMI and VGA with the same result. I am really amazed at this, the power is at work, that he be able to start. Someone has an idea of what has happened here?

Open the User GuideU2713HM. Access pages 54 and 55. Run the Test automatically and integrated Diagnostics. If these tests fail to run or you see the problem during the execution of that test, the monitor is defective.

  • 2713H, all USB suddenly dead?

    Hello

After his return in a few days, I brought my laptop to find that none of the USB ports on the 2713 H are functional. The devices in question (C920 webcam, keyboard and mouse Logitech) all work fine so switched to plug directly into the docking station or in the own laptop ports. Each USB port on the side of the monitor and back in does not work.

    Series: CN-0C6FDK-74261-353-0CEL
Computer: Lenovo Thinkpad T420s, Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

Using the cables provided by Dell. I reconnected everything several times and rebooted several times. Full power far superior to 15 seconds. I tried plugging the cable USB root in several different ports on the laptop and its docking station. I saw the monitor sleep USB mode FAQ entry. I double checked it; It has already been set in the desired way. I have reset the monitor to factory default settings.  Display of the image is totally fine / I have no problem with the screen. The problem is limited to the USB ports.
