  I use my Dell U2414H for over a year. I use the two HDMI ports for my consoles and DisplayPort / Mini DisplayPort for my laptop (Mac/Windows).

  Everything worked well and I never had real problems. Until last week. I had stopped my monitor and my laptop. The next day when I booted up my Windows partition, I saw the error that my Dell U2414H had been recognized as a smaller screen (I remember being called portable display or something) with only the resolution of 640 x 480. I restarted my computer under Mac OS X to see if it is a software problem, but on my Mac partition I also met problems. The display is also in a very low resolution.

  I tried to use the cable from my brother who has the same screen, and once again the screen is recognized as a very low resolution screen. Using another computer has the same effect.

  Then I tried to pick up one of the my console HDMI cables and used on my laptop. He correctly recognized my screen as a 1080 p screen.

  If this problem can be solved? Or does anyone have any information about this?

  Since the day I got it, I faced too many problems with it. The goal of buying the new monitor was to connect to my Acer laptop (Aspire E1 - 572), which has VGA & HDMI ports to connect to the external monitor. As the monitor got only screen & HDMI input ports, and they did not provide the HDMI cables with the monitor, I had to buy an HDMI cable to operate the first day. I used it as a multi monitor and the strange problem appeared to start. The monitor went blank and entered into normal state in 2-3 seconds to little frequent delays several times (5 to 10 times) in an hour. I checked all the connection cable and detached from any other connection other than the supply cable and HDMI cable and it was again the same scenario. I have re-installed OS in my system and updated all the drivers only to see that the problem was still there. I thought it would be due to a fault in the HDMI cable I bought at a local store. So, I kept the monitor next door and ordered online a new HDMI cable I received 25 June 2015. I replaced my old HDMI cable with the newly purchased. The monitor was still showing the same problem but rarely happened until this afternoon when I noticed the monitor started to flicker and display went blank back and come very quickly. I turned off my laptop and remove all cables other than cable power monitor and re-tested and could see that the same thing is happening again. I plugged in the screen on the plugs different to confirm if it was something to do with the problem of power supply but not this case. I recorded the photos and video of this strange behavior, using my mobile device and the zip file containing the same was sent to customer service CompuIndia explaining the problems the same day. As I don't have a response from them I contacted them today (June 26). The representative of CompuIndia told me to contact Dell support. Contact Dell technical support was really painful but they do too many phone numbers listed on their Web site. I was suspended several times and has been disconnected. After trying for 2-3 hours in the morning, finally I could explain my problem to a person name Sunil. After checking online on all the problems and try all possible solutions, my monitor was always showing the same complaint. So he told me that they have a Tech person visit my place and replace my monitor with a refurbished. I wasn't ready to accept the monitor renovated as a replacement because it showed the problem since day 1, I received and it was given barely 4 days and so I have the right to replace it with a new one. So he advised me to contact CompuIndia to obtain a replacement with a new monitor. II contacted a person in CompuIndia and explained everything who assured me that he would contact me soon. That I did not get any call or email on their part I contacted them several times but they told each time to get back to me, but I never contacted by them. I contacted them in the evening again, and said they will respond to my email in 2 minutes. Now the person (did not provide his name) to the CompuIndia said that they received no response and the technical team that once he could send me an email. Now, this can't be the case. I am really frustrated re: DELL service provides. I feel that I should not have bought Dell monitor. I lost a lot of my time and money. Please indicate where I have to contact to get replacement.

  Hello everyone. I use efter effects to create animated GIFs that I don't have Adobe Edge. The problem is that the output is terrible! Please tell me what I do wrong because this project is very important for me.

  The output of gif in After Effects is horrible.

  If you want to create an animated gif and then render a QuickTime movie using the animation codec and then then render a QuickTime video using the codec animation and then open the movie in Photoshop and create animated gifs it.

  We have a BI Publisher report that is saved as a concurrent request to eBS (version R12). The report model is a model of .rtf. Default report output is in PDF format, but users can choose Excel in another format of output. The report is properly display all data correctly when the output format is PDF, but when the output is Excel, we have problems with the display of data in certain columns. I did some research and I see that there are known limitations with models rtf producing an Excel output. I tried some of the methods suggested to work around formatting problems, however, I'm not able to solve these problems. I see that it is recommended to use Excel for Excel output binary patterns. How to create a binary schema Excel? I have BI Publisher Desktop version 10.1.3.4 on my PC. I am able to create BI Publisher rtf templates, do I need to create templates Excel, or whatever is needed to produce the output Excel?

  There is a link in 444604.1 that shows you how to use Excel to create binary layouts - these can provide better exits that RTF, but then the output can be in Excel

• Simple pdf file leads to the color of the wrong exit, whats wrong?

  I have a simple pdf file that takes just a rectangle filled with cmyk 1.0,0.35,0,0.28,

  but the problem is, this isn't the color that is printed. See the Inkscape and gimp

  the wrong color too.

  In the pdf file, the color is selected with

  so I don't know what is wrong here. Can anyone help?

  I opened the PDF file in Acrobat, check that the values are what you expect (using the output preview feature) and then printed on a Postscript printer.  Everything is good!

  Both Inkscape and Gimp are RGB-based applications, so that they need to convert CMYK to RGB data, why it moves in these applications.  You should consider using the data of color management if you want it to work correctly.

  You don't need to PARTITION BY coz it will consolidate the data...

  What should be changed?

  The problem is that you read the file in bytes and the StringBuffer does not accept the bytes as something that you can add. Therefore, it is interpretting the byte value read from the InputStream as an integer.

  Here are two quick fixes on top of my head, I have not tested this code. One reads the InputStream using an InputStreamReader that can give you the contents of the file as an array of char that can be added directly to the StringBuffer. The second way still reads the file as bytes but then uses the StringUtilities class to add the array of bytes to the StringBuffer.

• Unacceptable backlight bleed with Dell U2414H - credit refused to Dell or upgrade

  5 days ago bought 2 monitors a U2414H Dell and DELL UP2516D in Hong Kong.

  The Dell U2414H a lot of backlight bleeding, the worst thing is the ugly yellow glow really distinct on the upper left, visible even in office lighting. The backlight bleeding was acceptable limit if this not that hideous yellow glow in the corner of a whole new monitor.

  The DELL UP2516D, I have not had any problems with it at all.

  Dell sent support some pictures and asked for credit/upgrade to the DELL UP2516D, but was denied a response:

  "We verify that this is a normal matter. Because it's the technique of back-lighting, all the monitor will be this phenomenon. It is not hardware issue, so we can't support you for the UP2516D upgrade or the refund. »

  

  I had a lot of monitor in my life, it's not normal or acceptable.

  It's the Forum USA, so you will need to re - contact Customer Support for your country. That U2414H does not meet our specifications from manufacturer of uniformity of the backlight. They do not follow the Dell return policy. Inside of 30 days of the invoice date, you can get a refund for ANY reason any. Don't like us for like exchanges, so that they are correct in saying you can't return the U2414H and get the UP2516D.

  I have strange problems with the sensors showing the wrong exit. I am designing a CPU, and what is happening on a design more complex and now even on a simple.

  The four bits of the sum and the Carry-Out bit are each thread to their own digital logic probe (PROBE_DIG_GREEN).

  The problem:

  Exit lights are sometimes wrong, but the way that simple I know how to reproduce the bug is as follows:

  Load the file. and run the simulation.

  Press Q to switch the MSB of the seized A.

  Watch the lights of the probe. They're probably showing an inverted output.

  Press 3 to reverse the result.

  See the same lights.

  Press 3 to delete (UN-invert) exit.

  The output is corrected as it should have been from the beginning.

  Alternatively, press space to show lights crazy and 3.

  You can compare this to allowing the LSB of the input A (R key) instead of the MSB (Q key) and see how it is supposed to work.

  I replaced your switch with a digital constant interactive, it is easier to see the digital input as the bipolar switch.  You can find this part in the in the Group of 'Sources' on the family of "Digital Sources".  Your scheme lacked a digital pattern, it most cases this affect the circuits, but from time to time, he made another, the modified file is attached.

• Rear USB port of U2414H not function

  I use U2414h Dell monitor connected with my surface pro 3 with the mini display cable and usb cable upstream to serve a second monitor and usb hubs, and I always connected a laptop hard drive to the USB rear powered high at the back of the screen because I do not have any other usb port on my pro3 surface...

  Today, I found my drive hard laptop display message connected and disconnected all the time and so I try to disconnect the hard drive and reconnect to see if the problem can fix it. But when I plugged the portable hard drive at the back usb port, even once it does not turn on. I tried to plug the portable hard drive directly to my surface 3 pro, it works and readable.

  Then I tried a series of troubleshooting:

  -Turn off the device and reconnect all the cables thew

  -by using another usb cable to connect the laptop hard drive

  -using a different cable upstream between surface pro 3 and U2414H

  -Connect a low device (memory stick) to the rear usb port

  -using a different computer

  It seems the USB back have no power and cannot be used, since I'm on soundbar AC511 connected to the usb port of U2414h base, I'm sure that all three ports are still works.

  Is someone can help?

  * Disconnect each cable from the monitor (food, video, USB)
  * Press and hold the button for 30 seconds
  * Reconnect all cables and retest

  Hey has any who actually received the update to windows 7? I bought my laptop on 10 July and my service tag not yet in the database dells. It has been good for 10 days. After many calls to dell the thing only customer service can tell me to wait 10 days until after my purchase date. Well, it was good for 10 days. How people even got an order placed. I see that this expedition dates back to the people who are a few orders how magically for after January, so I guess that I will never see my free upgrade? I think I need to communicate with the news and bring it to the report on this case. Seems similar to how they have deceived the people by pretending to have service on-site the next business day when she takes 5 days in my experience. Now I promised an update and I have until January to claim, but every attempt of saying me he's telling me I have to wait 10 days. • Black screen of U2414 with the flicker photo

  I have u2414H Dell screen that plays up. After several minutes of fed without problem on the screen go black and then intermittently flash the image on a nothing between a fraction of a second for a minute. This will continue until the monitor is disconnected and reconnected. The power button stays white all the time. By pressing the buttons mode does not answer either. If I press the power button if it is in a short work phase the white rest button but the screen would then become completely insensitive.

  I tried several cables and sources so I can confirm that what is happening on the DisplayPort and HDMI ports. I ran the Self test when the screen changes colors and she even did for that.

• 6500 printer quit printing black

  I'm having a problem that appears, from the info in the forum, to be fairly common...  My 6500 printer suddenly stopped printing anything black ink.  I too have gone through all the diagnostic tests and have tried to replace the cartridge, even if the screen says that it is almost full.  I really hope that someone can come up with a solution...  I've been a loyal user of the HP printer for as long as I had a computer at home, but this could be a game changer!

  @mtaylormusic - I would like to begin by troubleshooting with this document here. It will give a steps to take to try to fix a problem with print quality for your printer model. When do printhead cleaning be sure to make the different levels because of the progression of levels, more energetic that they are trying to remove clogs nozzles.
  
  If after completing the document, you find that you still have a problem of quality output, I would do a manual cleaning of the print head and cartridges. The reason to do that is to make sure that built up on these pieces is not the reason for the wrong exit when printing documents.
