Montitor double connection!

I want to connect two lcd monitors to a desktop pc on vista home Prem on the back of the base unit, I have my main monitor in the background vga port and the 2nd monitor plugged the other vga port, 2nd monitor says 'No signal' prospects and the monitors are fine, they have crossed. I have a 2nd vga port for any other reason than to use two monitors? Any suggestions please?

You can also try this:
Right click on the desktop-> graphics options-> output to-> dual display. You can also do it on your graph icon on the Notification area.

    Hello!

    I need my NAS (Synology DS415 +) to be double connection due to the fact that I use an ethernet port to connect to the router (so he gets the WiFi connection that is needed for the office camera) and another port to the wire to the iMac, which is my main editing station (Adobe Premiere). How can I check which connection my iMac using right now? Is there a way to force my iMac to use wired instead of WiFi? There is a big difference when you have all of the media files you use when editing on the NAS (speed cable > wifi speed)

  • Double connection monitor with HP H8 - 1360T

    Just got a new HP H8 - 1360T with a Radeon HD7570 video card. I have two monitors with DVI and VGA inputs on them. They were both used with an older Dell dual mode. Unfortunately the double with the Dell adapter cable has a male end LFH59 (all pins) that will not connect the HP H8 - 1360T.  Is it as simple as getting the right cable? I see some references/DVI-I single and double as well as DVI - D single and double. I want to extend my desktop on two monitors. Can what adapter cable I get? Thanks for your help.

    Hello

    You said that the monitors DVI so use a native DVI cable to a monitor, and then a DVI cable to HDMI to the other monitor.

    To eliminate any problems check each monitor, one at a time on each port to make sure everything works before moving on to the next step.

  • Help routing with double connections 1 ISP, 2 routers, Firewall-2 lights

    My company is moving to a new building and ordered redundant Internet connections by the same ISP.  I did have a chance to talk to the ISP seller, but from what I've heard say that they expect us to participate in the BGP as will force us to balance load and high availability for inbound web traffic.  My limited experience with BGP has been in a lab environment.  The company has already bought two routers and two ASAs.  We have a block of public IP addresses.

    My goals are to

    1 allow internal out of the Internet users
    2. allow to outside users to browse our public web site.
    3. configure the routers and the ASAs so that if any one device Internet connections or lack fails, the business will continue as usual.

    Here are some of my questions to help me make sure that I'm heading down the correct path:

    -The IP addresses on the links point to point between our routers and the ISP will come from our IP address block, or if they are separated/30 links provided by the ISP?  (Even once, I have not had the chance to talk to the seller)

    ' '-Will be the link iBGP "has" requires the use of public or private IP addresses IPs can be used?  In addition to configuring iBGP on these routers, is thus a first protocol redundancy Hop configured here?

    -Should there be links routed between R1 and R2 and FW2, FW1?  Too complicating the design without real value?

    -Would be OSPF or EIGRP usually configured for links B, C D & to allow redundancy you want between the firewalls and routers?

    -What is the best practice for the determination of the flow of outbound traffic layer 3 switch (6509 s configured as a VSS) to the two ASAs?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Mike

    Hello

    first of all that you need in your design for me of course that traffic inbound and outbound flows must be aligned end-to-end

    answers to your questions are by below:

    -The IP addresses on the links point to point between our routers and the ISP will come from our IP address block, or if they are separated/30 links provided by the ISP?  (Even once, I have not had the chance to talk to the seller)

    Any dose not need and ask the ISP to provide their own IPs for p2p links (to avoid wasting your public IP addresses)

    ' '-Will be the link iBGP "has" requires the use of public or private IP addresses IPs can be used?  In addition to configuring iBGP on these routers, is thus a first protocol redundancy Hop configured here?

    You cannot use private IP addresses

    -Should there be links routed between R1 and R2 and FW2, FW1?  Too complicating the design without real value?

    Here, it's better to use a shared VLAN L2 (switch) for these interfaces get FHRP of routers and the FWs failover works as expected

    -Would be OSPF or EIGRP usually configured for links B, C D & to allow redundancy you want between the firewalls and routers?

    If you use between HSRP/VRRP routers and using failover between the FWs, then using a shared vlan L2 as suggested above will be necessary without IGP, such as EIGRP also the link between the firewall used for FW failover is not like the one used between routers 'dose not need routing.

    -What is the best practice for the determination of the flow of outbound traffic layer 3 switch (6509 s configured as a VSS) to the two ASAs?

    If you put the ASA FWs in failover mode, then the IP address of th eprimary/active ASA FW will be used for your static routes in the L3 switches to point to and this IP address will be used by the secondary FW in a failover situation "transparent and automatic.

    hope this helps

  • Double connection ISP and load balancing

    Hi all

    I have the Cisco 2911 router k 9/s with 3 GB ports. I have also two different ISP connections, all have two different available bandwidth (one is asymmetrical, else a symmetrical).

    What I want to achieve is to ensure the balance of Nice load between two ISPS for all PCs behind the NAT device.

    What I know so far, it's that I can use CEF or PfR/REL. For both of this technology, I have some doubts.

    CEF: distributes the network load between the two connections based on sessions (which is good, because I strongly to use tools like Skype or Lync for audio/video conversations). However, what is happening, when I get on one of the ISP connections broadband bandwidth max? He's going to choke for 50% of the connections? Or it will detect the use of bandwidth and to force using second ISP?

    PfR/REL: as far as I understood it resolves my concern regarding the use of the connection, but what happens to the session? Should it also be based on this mechanism? As you know that it is very important for audio/video connections.

    Are there other tools that can provide these load balancing? I know DAB, but I don't want to decide manually, where each service (e.g. http or ssh) will have to go. I'm looking for something more automated.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

    I assume that you have a static route for the subnet 213.192.65.0/24 on top of the output and with the combination of order

    network default IP 213.192.65.105 213.192.65.105 IP address is installed as a default gateway. What is the #2 ISP?

    If so, it explains why he always goes on ISP2 only.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk365/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094374.shtml#flagging

    Just remove the config:

    Noneip default-network 213.192.65.105

    Noneip default-gateway 213.192.65.105

    Then again check the routing table:

    SH ip route

    Hope it helps.

    So overall, you have 4 nic dedicated to the movement of SAN 2 and 2 configured on the console Service, VMoption and LAN traffic (in active Passive).

    Best practice is to separate the traffic of your management of your LAN traffic.

    With Layer 2 switches that I recommend that if you go to a single switch anyway, so you might as well dedicate a NIC to SC/vmotion and then spend the other card NETWORK LAN traffic.  This at least allows you to run backups on the SAN network (or make vmotions) without killing your Lan traffic (or vice versa).

    You could probably change the vswtch based on MAC address instead of virtual port and then make it active two NICs.  In this configuration, a virtual machine takes a NIC at boot time and still about it... basically giving you a few loadbalancing.

    I personally would probably go the way of its own for the LAN NETWORK card and the other card network for SC/Vmotion.

  • Applicaton double connection

    Hey guys,.

    I wonder that if you can help me, I have 2 two requests using the same schema of database authentication account and tables.
    Application 1 is bound to the application 2, but when I connect to the application 2 application 1 the user is required to enter their user name and password again. Ideally I'd like avoid this and have the user name and the word see application 1 on request 2.

    I have it built in 1 single larger application, but because of compliance procedures and promotions at my company is not sand fresh so I'm stuck with the 2-way application.

    Is this possible? If yes how can I do to the implementation. I guess I need to go into the session ID and transfer connection through information, but I'm not entirely sure of how to do this.

    Thanks for any help

    Ozzy

    Hello

    Are your applications in the same workspace?
    If Yes, then go edit the two apps authentication schemes and add name of Cookie of Session Cookie attributes.
    Then you should be able to switch between applications without logging in again. Of course need have session running in the links to other ID app.

  • Can I connect SFP GLC-LH-SMD connector lc single fiber on Cisco 897VA Module?

    Hi all

    Please can I connect SFP GLC-LH-SMD connector lc single fiber on Cisco 897VA Module?

    Thanks in advance.

    If you have only a single glass fiber then the GLC-LH-SMD = is NOT good

    because it is for double connection to a pair of fiber.

    You would like more information by your ISP, you will most likely need a GLC-BX-D (RX-TX/1310 nm, 1490 nm) or a GLC-BX-U(1310-nm TX/1490-nm RX)

    See below

    1000Base-BX10-D and 1000BASE-BX10-U SFP for bidirectional single fiber Applications

    SFP 1000BASE-BX-D and 1000BASE-BX-U, compatible with the IEEE 802.3Ah standard 1000BASE-BX10-D and 1000BASE-BX10-U, carried on in a single strand of SMF standard.

    A 1000BASE-BX10-D device is always connected to a device of 1000BASE-BX10-U with one strand of SMF standard with functioning of the chain of transmission, up to 10 km.

    The communication on a single strand of fiber is achieved by separating the wavelength of transmission of both devices, as shown in Figure 2: 1000BASE-BX10-D transmits a channel 1490 nm and receives a signal of 1310 nm, while 1000BASE-BX10-U transmits at 1310 nm wavelength and a signal of 1490 nm. As shown, the presence of a separator of multiplexing (WDM) length of wave-division integrated with SFP to split the 1310 nm, 1490 nm light railways.

    Figure 4.      Two-way transmission of a single strand of SMF

    GLC-BX-D and SFP GLC-BX-U supports also digital Optics (DOM) of the functions of surveillance in accordance with approval of the standard of the industry (MSA) multisource SFF-8472. This feature gives the end user the ability to analyze parameters in real time of the FPS, such as the optical output power, optical input power, temperature, laser bias current and transceiver supply voltage.

    Employees
    CONNECT BY PRIOR employee_id = manager_id;

    SELECT employe_id, last_name, manager_id
    Employees;

    In fact, those who are not the same.
    If you use the standard table of hr.employees, the CONNECT BY query above returns 315 lines, but the secoind query return lines only 107.

    CONNECTION is useful to show the recursive relationships. It can show you, for example, not only that reports directly to a data manager, but the whole hierarchy of persons under a given head. For example, the following shows the hierarchy starting with an employee named "Rooster":

    SELECT  employee_id, last_name, manager_id
    ,     LEVEL                         AS lvl
    ,     SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH (last_name, '/')     AS path
    FROM    hr.employees
    START WITH last_name = 'De Haan'
    CONNECT BY       PRIOR employee_id      = manager_id;

    SELECT     SYSDATE - SYSDATE-41 + 1
    FROM DUAL;

    Output:

    EMPLOYEE_ID LAST_NAME  MANAGER_ID LVL PATH
    ----------- ---------- ---------- --- --------------------------
            102 De Haan           100   1 /De Haan
            103 Hunold            102   2 /De Haan/Hunold
            104 Ernst             103   3 /De Haan/Hunold/Ernst
            105 Austin            103   3 /De Haan/Hunold/Austin
            106 Pataballa         103   3 /De Haan/Hunold/Pataballa
            107 Lorentz           103   3 /De Haan/Hunold/Lorentz

    Very briefly, here's how it works.
    The result set of a query CONNECT BY is the UNION ALL of several queries, all sharing a common SELECT clause.
    Any line that meets the conditions of the START WITH clause is supposed to be at LEVEL 1. So you can think of the first branch of the UNION of ALL being (in this case):

    SELECT  employee_id, last_name, manager_id
    ,     LEVEL                         AS lvl
    ,     SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH (last_name, '/')     AS path
    FROM    hr.employees
    WHERE   last_name     = 'De Haan'
    UNION ALL ...

    Other rows in the result set will be LEVEL = N if the conditions of the CONNECT BY clause, where the PRIOR operator refers to any line level = N - 1.
    For example, the line with name = "Hunold" satisfies the condition to connect BY when the FIRST line is the line where last_name = "Rooster", Hunold is in the game with the LEVEL of results = 2.
    Another example: the line with name = 'Lorentz' meets the condition to connect BY when the FIRST line is the line where last_name = "Hunold", Hunold is in the result set with LEVEL = 3.
    This is a classic example of a tree structure, where the rows in the table are connected to other lines in a parent-child relationship. In a tree, each row has 0 or 1 of the parents, but a line can have any humber children. Haan has 0 parent and 1 child (that is, Hunold). Hunold has 1 parent (De Haan) and 4 children. CONNECT BY queries are useful to deal with the trees like this, especially when the parent-child relationship may extend to a number any levels.

    Other queries is obtained to connect by is below, but he could not also include:

    Select the level - 1 the_date + SYSDATE-41
    of the double
    connect by level<= sysdate="" -="" sysdate-41="" +="">

    I don't understand whether you.
    SYSDATE-SYSDATE is just 0
    0 - 41 + 1 is just-40, so you might as well say:

    select SYSDATE-41 + level - 1 the_date
                                from dual
                              connect by level <= -40;

    In addition, LEVEL is always a positive integer, then the CONNECT BY State will never have the value TRUE, and if the CONNECT BY clause can never be TRUE, there is no reason to have a CONNECT BY clause.
    A more reasonable request is:

    SELECT     SYSDATE + LEVEL - 1     AS the_date
    FROM      dual
    CONNECT BY LEVEL <= 4 -- or any positive number
    ;

    which produces this output, the given number of days (4 in this example) from today:

    THE_DATE
    --------------------
    06-Dec-2011 11:08:24
    07-Dec-2011 11:08:24
    08-Dec-2011 11:08:24
    09-Dec-2011 11:08:24

    This is a very common way to generate a Counter of Table (a table, or, as in this case, a result set, that matters). For example, if you need for the aggregates per day in a table and you want to show 0 for days that never exist in the table, then you outer join in a table of counter like the one shown above.
    This is a common use of CONNECT BY, but this is an unusual exception to the rules that is prohibited govern CONNECT BY queries. I suggest you uderstand how the query on hr.employees, above, the work before you start trying to figure out how it works.

  • Connect by level using the count of the records collection

    Hello:

    PROBLEM:
    ...
    ), (select rownum number months of double connect by level < = Cnt)

    Causes not valid ORA-00904 identifier. Why can I not use "Cnt" of my main as request by using a constant in the works?

    The value of count is determined for each date range in the section, I return the records that I need?

    Thank you, Sidney

    BACKGROUND:
    I have to be able to display a list of tax returns to my users and the status of these statements. There's no physical feedback so it is necessary to create data dynamically records using appropriate selection. It's not hard and I thought that would be enough to use a connection by level to give me the date, statements of information so that I can calculate and display the individual. However oracle gives me an ORA-00904 when I try to send the "Cnt" value to connect by level. Everything works fine when I provided a constant instead of "CNT". The "CNT" value is determined by a complex process that calculates start and end for several types of return dates, etc as well as the number of periods and frequency of production. The data must be generated dynamically using a master record, which then gives the history of coding in which my collection of basic records is selected. Here is the result of this process:

    TaxpayerNo, TaxClass TaxCode, FilingFequency, StartDate, StopDate, Cnt, frequency

    10 S 1 M 12-18 6/1/2007-11/30/2008
    10 S 2 M 12 10 30/11/2008-9/30/2009

    According to the results, I have needs a record for each every month, quarter, etc. ie:

    A technique like this should solve your problem.

    Contrary to what you have now, which is basically this

    TUBBY_TUBBZ?with data (col1, cnt) as
      2  (
      3    select 1, 3 from dual
      4      union all

  • ORA-01436 - connect loop in the user data - only in the database 10G...

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with a query. First of all I have to say that I choose this query on the internet and has adapted to my worries... so I understand very well the "connection of level" clause... that's why I need help to find out what is happening here...

    The query is all ok in a 8i database, but if I took exactly the same query on a 10G database I got the error "ORA-01436 - connect with loop in user data.

    This query returns one row for each day between 2 dates passed as parameters. The query takes 4 parameters: a date 'from', date 'for' and 2 other parameters indicating if we want that Saturdays and Sundays (end of week) in the result set.

    This is the query:

    Select days_between.days
    de)
    SELECT & date_from + ROWNUM-1 days
    DE)
    SELECT 1 nothing
    OF THE DOUBLE
    CONNECTION OF LEVEL < = (nvl(&date_to,&date_from) - & date_from + 1)
    )
    where & date_from + ROWNUM-1 < = nvl (date_to, & date_from)
    ) days_between
    where (nvl (& exclude_saturdays, 'Y') = ' or replace (to_char (days_between.days, 'DAY'),' ') not in ('SATURDAY', 'SATURDAY'))
    and (nvl (& exclude_sundays, 'Y') = ' or replace (to_char (days_between.days, 'DAY'),' ') not in ('SUNDAY', 'SUNDAY'))

    For the parameter 'date_from' enter 'to_date('2009-01-01','yyyy-mm-dd')' as a break for the 'date_to' 'to_date('2009-01-07','yyyy-mm-dd')' as a value parameter value. For the other 2 parameters, use 'Y' to exclude this day or "N" to keep this day here in the result set.

    So I said earlier, this query runs very well on a 8i database but not on a 10G a where I got the error "ORA01436 - connect with loop in user data.

    I have search the Internet but I don't know why it runs on a 8i and not on a 10G... Can someone help me please?

    Hello

    SELECT  ROWNUM  AS n
    FROM    dual
    CONNECT BY  LEVEL <= x;

    is a quick and easy way to generate a table of meters containing all integers from 1 to x. You are the query, it has been changed, not for a list of consecutive integers, but a list of consecutive dates.

    This technique only works in Oracle 9 (and more). You did a mistake when you said it works in Oracle 8 but not in Oracle 10? It is the opposite, when I try.

    Here is another way to generate a table of counters:

    SELECT  ROWNUM  AS n
    FROM    all_objects
    WHERE   ROWNUM  <= x;

    This method works in any version of Oracle, but it is slower than the method CONNECT BY and does not work for the great values on x. (this is probably good for x<= 5000,="" depending="" on="" your="">

    If you can do this:

    select days_between.days
    from     (
         SELECT     &date_from + ROWNUM - 1          as days
         FROM     all_objects
         WHERE     ROWNUM     <= (1 + NVL (&date_to, &date_from)) - &date_from
         ) days_between
    where     (     nvl(&exclude_saturdays,'Y') = 'N'
         or     replace(to_char(days_between.days,'DAY'),' ') not in ('SAMEDI','SATURDAY')
         )
    and     (     nvl(&exclude_sundays,'Y') = 'N'
         or     replace(to_char(days_between.days,'DAY'),' ') not in ('DIMANCHE','SUNDAY')
         )
    ;

    in any version of Oracle.
