More wireless cable emulation

I have a Setup wireless at home and would like to connect two computers directly, but I don't have a long cable to do, then it would be possible to create a tunnel (much like hamachi does) to emulate a crossover between two connected cable wireless computers?

Well, to be honest, I really didn't connect my Wireless base, which is just a Point of access, directly on the Internet router. Good idea, I think I'll try. So I take it there is no way to use the laptop as a wireless ICS base ?

If I have other problems to this topic I just post them here... Thank you for your time and help, but I'm sure that this will not be the last time you'll read this thread lol.

The only way to do it, as far as I know, is to...

1. remove the existing bridge on the laptop you have installed between the WIRELESS and the wired NIC Ethernet card

2. set up a wireless ad - hoc network between the laptop and the desktop computer.

3 configure ICS on the laptop.

In this case you are not yet using the wireless access point. Again once the last time I used ICS spoke on XP 6 or 7 years ago, when I shared a modem connection. In this case I did not use a bridge. Therefore, as always YMMV.

Others may have different suggestions so I hope someone else can sound especially on the bridge.

Good luck...

    Hi @Atmasin,

I see that you have trouble connecting the printer to the new router. I want to help you.

I would like to reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
    Print a Configuration Page.

If the network name has spaces or special characters, the printer may not recognize it.

The printer is able to send/receive in the 2.4 ghz band.

If it is set to 5 GHZ network, you may need to change to 2.4 ghz. (rename the 5 ghz or turn it off)

The WPA key setting must be on AES to work properly not TKIP.

    Multi flow must be enabled.
Router firewall must be open for printer ports.
If you have Mac filtering give you printer hardware to meet the needs of the Configuration page.

You may need to contact your router company to get help to check these settings.

Try to run the Configuration Wizard wireless of the HP software to set up the printer on the network.

  • Satellite P300-no more wireless since yesterday

    Hello world
Since yesterday, my wireless function no longer works.
Internet still works with the ethernet cable. I am also able to enter the menu of the router (192.168.0.1, without ethernet cable) config.
I did install a new software recently. What could be wrong? The laptop computer or the router?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

In my opinion, you should try to update the WLAN driver. You can see the Toshiba WLAN portal for an update:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Also make sure that the DHCP client and DNS are running, maybe you must restart both services (start > run > Services.msc).

Make also sure that the firewall isn't blocking the connection WIFI.

  • Remote Access connects with shared connection, but when I connect the Ethernet to the box Belkin Wireless cable, there is no network connection

I have dial-up internet. I have to computers. A PC running XP and a laptop that is running Windows 7.

  • Problem with Officejet 6500 has more wireless on my Mac running Lion

I just got the Officejet 6500 has more. I was able to make it work with my HP PC Windows XP (would not work with the radio, but it's probably a problem with this computer - connected very well with USB). But I don't see the option to add it on my Mac (main computer) running OS Lion. I'm completely updated on Mac software. I see my other printer as usual (also a HP) on Mac.

Tried to reboot several times. I looked on the HP site to various articles and it seems that I might need to make an update of the firmware on the printer, but when I downloaded the software (on the PC), my printer is gray and so wouldn't let me - or does not need the upgrade. Then. I can't see the printer on the Mac and don't know what else to do. Ideas? Thank you... Is the printer on my wireless network - I can not see the IP address and others.

I don't really know exactly what I did - added to the printer with its IP address and manually the software (added name - I also had a HP update tonight for the printer software, but that only did nothing), then printing I tried and it still would not work.  I used the adjusted IP address, which I found on the dashboard of Verizon. And for some reason, once I put that in manually on the printer, it remained there, even when in desperation I tried to put it back the "detect network" setting. Sorry - but this is not quite logical or in the order.

Also, I restarted the router, then the printer. Somewhere among all the things I tried, to my amazement, it finally worked! At first, I saw the IP address as the name of the printer (which I had entered it), and then he asked to be changed to the actual model. I did it and it now seems to work. Here, I could tell exactly what I did, but perhaps in what I wrote, you will get a glow and know WHY it worked?

I wanted to thank you again for all the time you spent to try and help me get this working. It is really really REALLY appreciated and I definitely click the congratulations for you! Thank you very much!

  • Windows 7 64 bit, XP - Pro, printer Epson Stylus NX300 all-in-one more wireless

I hope I am in the right place because I'm in the use of focus groups.  Before I end up buying another printer, I was hoping that someone on this forum could locate the cause of the problem that I keep missing.  My printer connects to my all new laptop running Windows 7 via a USB port.  This is the latest driver for each system.  My laptop, running XP - Pro, is on a wireless network with the other computer.  Anyway, my pages printing out with bands, the horizontal space and the missing lines on photos.  I do not get decent images even when I undergo regular maintenance procedures such as the nozzle check, head cleaning and head alignment.  Printing test badly on both computers.  Technical support of Epson, which I have no confidence, says I have an irreparable hardware problem.  I have a problem of compatibility of the software with the operating system or a network problem?  The router is Linksys E1000.  Oddly enough, I get a page of decent test of Control Panel, printers, and other devices.  Similarly, an image containing the text and the pictures I got using Epson Scan prints decently with the exception of the stripes on the picture.

Moderator: thank you.  Forgive me for failing to recognize your answer.  After deals with peculiarities of Epson, I've learned that sometimes Nozzlecheck and cleaning the heads need as much as 10 tests before they correct the print quality.  Ink accumulates in transport, which the user cannot delete on this model.  To print a color image occasionally to keep the ink flowing. otherwise, he's sitting there and think about cloggs.  There is a cleaning kit that technicians use to clean this accumulation that can be purchased at http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/kits/epson/K89.  The investment is lower than a new printer.  At this stage, that it costs more to maintain this printer after replacing the magenta cartridge twice this week.  Already, I am considering new models where this problem will not occur.

  • OfficeJet 6500 more Wireless connection.

I bought an OJ6500 more and tried to connect to my wireless network. My wireless access Point is a D-Link DWL-G700AP.

I got this wireless network running for more than two years. We recently acquired an iPad and searched printers wireless in the compatibility list, one of which is the OJ6500. I had trouble connecting to the wireless network and I talked to HP Support and they advised I should have the printer replaced, so I returned to the store and they gave me a new.

I have exactly the same problem with the replacement. Having said that, it will connect to my wireless network.

    Details.

I run a set SSID. (no question here that the network OJ6500 Wizard can find my SSID)

I run the WEP 128 bit shared key. (all other devices on the network connect successfully using the same WEP key).

I run MAC filtering. (I also tried running without MAC filtering, but still no connection).

The DWL-G700AP acts as a DHCP server. (I don't see any indication that the OJ6500 gets all requesting an address. DHCP - in fact, I want to make it static, but can't see how... yet)

I updated the Firmware of the DWL-G700AP, just in case, but still no connection.

All the PC's on the network are wired with static IP, and install the CD software seems to want to know the details wireless, which of course is of little value as the PC must print to a printer on an IP address.

Does anyone have any suggestions of 'useful', before you take this one back and get a refund?

    Hello

All the latest HP products does not support authentication Shared Key Wep, which is the least secure methods available.

Enter the configuration of your router, click the Wireless button on the home tab.

Set authentication as an open system and apply the changes.

    * Be sure to reboot your router if requested.

Run the Wireless Setup Wizard in the printer menu and it should connect no problem now.

The specific configuration, no matter what device currently connected to your network wireless must stay connected by its settings.

Please let me know any progress,

  • Satellite P200: after formatting, no more wireless

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite P200 PSPB0E with Windows Vista 32 bit PC.

I simply formatted and I was amazed that I don't have the wireless, so I guess that's the driver because my button "wireless" is enabled.

My network card is a "Realtek rtl 2101 family PCI-E Fast Ethernet (NDIS 6.0).

Updates does not work and the driver on toshiba website 'Wireless lan driver' is not working too. Nothing changes.

I hope someone can help me.

    Thank you

    Hello

What do mean you by what I just formatted?

Have you used the Vista DVD for Toshiba recovery to reinstall the Vista operating system yet?
Or did you use the original DVD of Microsoft Vista?

Usually if you have used the Toshiba Recovery DVD, everything should work fine and all devices are recognized in the Device Manager as the image of Toshiba already contains all the necessary drivers.

So please check your device if Manager the wireless network card is correctly recognized.
You can find it in the network adapters.

By the way; are you sure that you have a Realtek Wlan card to 100%?
As I know the card chip LAN is Realtek but the WiFi card could be Intel.

You can also check the settings of firewall on the windows XP computer. You can check if the ports are opened correctly for the network to connect. See the help link - below
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/283673

    Method 3:
If the problem persists, you can even perform the clean boot on the Windows XP computer and check if you can identify the application that is causing problems in the clean boot state. To perform the clean boot follow step 1, mentioned in the article, below, and then try again checking in this state of boot -
