MotoE 2ndGen LTE: switch WiFi AP stronger?

I have two APs of WiFi in the House with the same SSID, same parameters of security, but on different channels.

If I move to the House, the phone remains always to the AP that he connected when it put under tension or when WiFi is on, rather than move automatically to the strongest.

When in the same room with one of the APs, WiFi Analyzer shows to close with a signal of a words of - 40dB, whereas the distant AP shows approximately - 65dB.

He should switch? This is a feature of driver WiFi Phone or the Android OS?

My two iPads and my ancient iPod will recover on the signal stronger without intervention.

@Bert-4-

A Wi - Fi connection will remain connected to the AP he connected first, until the PA signal weakens and Wi - Fi link is not usable. Although there is an access point with-40 dB, if its connected to the AP-65 dB, it will remain connected to the AP the AP the signal strength is good and Wi - Fi works very well.

  • Some info on my Moto G4 LTE and Tracfone

I have posted a few questions on my phone here, but thought I would share my story. I got a tracfone LG39 n for several years. It uses Verizon towers that I had no bars at home. We have a new AT & T Tower less than a mile away, so I got an unlocked MOTO G4 LTE. Received the Tracfone sim kit for BYOP. As instructed, I put the Red sim card for T-mobile and unlocked phones and called Tracfone. After about 4 hours, phone with them, phone # transferred and remailing/time, etc. transferred data, we got it to work. But still no bars. Had good service driving around the area. Waited a few days and got on their phone chat. Spent 2 hours like that. He put me AT & T phones / unlocked blue sim card in. At got 5 bars... Yes, but when I tried to call it looks like numbering, then in a few seconds, he'd call ends. The cat guy gave me a # to call and a # to point to my problem. I called them and after 4 hours, we have no case. Tech said to give him 24 houre to complete the transfer. NADA. a for the information for the next 2 days to mess with it. Called on Monday and the guy said, ' you're not showing any minutes. It took him 5 minutes to fix this. Now, everything's fine. Just figureing everything now. So that's my story and I' stick me to it :-)

No problem, I can find YET. Ago I just have the patience.

The old wifi card swich works OK - orange light is on. On the new map light is off and swich does not work.

    Help, please

    Hello

Do you have also enabled the WLAN functionality by pressing FN + F8?
    Check it!

In addition, I think the case is clear: the new wireless LAN card isn't compatible with Satellite A110.
So in my opinion, you must use remove the new card Intel and install the old card that works fine in your laptop.

The WiFi feature on your laptop can be activated with the material and the FN + F8 key combination switch.

I think that you need assistance from an authorized service provider. The laptop technicians can check your laptop and exchange the switch with a new one:

  • Errors with the new Motorola Moto G4 more and WiFi not working not

Hello, I got a brand new Motorola Moto more G4 64 GB phone two days ago, and since then, I have had several different problems.

When I started my phone for the first time that I saw that there was an update (after initial installation) and I clicked to install the update and in the end, I received a message saying that the update failed, but I never got re - apply the update again and unfortunately I do not know what was in this update.

Anyway, the first day I was able to connect to my WiFi at home, but since yesterday my WiFi setting is always off and when I try to tap on the button nothing happens. My phone is not even show the available WiFi connections, because the WiFi is completely turned off (as in airplane mode). When I try to turn on the WiFo then it immediately clicks back OFF - no message or whatever. I have tried several things but essentially decided to do a factory reset, and I also deleted the cache partition.

After the reset, I get several errors now:

'Unfortunately not stopped the user interface of the system.',

"Unfortunately the retail Config Service was stopped.", etc.

I did a clean reset several times and it happens every time. When I click on them away I can always configure my phone but the WiFi problem. Also after the reset, there is no update available, I found weird because it is the first time. My Android version is 6.0.1.

Anyone know what to do? I feel that this phone is totally buggy and I would maybe return to Motorola if I can't fix it myself.

    Hi dustinmoris,

Sorry to hear that. Since you have already completed a factory data reset, repair indeed is necessary. But you mentioned that the phone is brand new and you received it just 2 days ago, you can go back to where you bought it so that they help you more.

    Kind regards

  • Portege Z930: Loss of Fn keys after upgrade to win 8 - can't turn WiFi switch

After several months waiting for my hour I just began my Portege Z930 - 11G for Windows 8 Pro upgrade.

To a large extent, it went to the plan except that, after execution to display the Assistant Toshiba Upgrade I lost the Fn key and about half of the keys no longer seem to work at all.

The only key I've ever used on a routine basis is the Fn + F8 option to activate the power switch WiFi.

So now, I can not turn on WiFi on the computer.

It must, surely, that there be a way to do it, but I'm not. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm OK for now because I have a local cable system in the House, but once I get out on the road I will fight without WiFi.

Before running the wizard upgrade of the Fn key grew up the key appear in the upper part of the screen and I want to surely I had turned on WiFi right here.

The Fn key utility offers very little control of the Fn keys. It does not offer the possibility to do anything else than to disable five notifications screen for keyboard backlighting, power plan, touch pad and cursor overlay digital overlay.

    Any help gratefully received.

    > So now I can not turn on WiFi on the computer.
First of all, you can enable and disable the WiFi using the function key, but you can also activate the WLan settings of Windows 8
    Key Win + C-> settings-> change PC settings-> wireless

Now, you can use the cursor to wireless devices to enable or disable the WiFi network.

But to get the FN button work you need to install the + Toshiba function key + Utility for win 8 and + Toshiba system driver + to win 8

  • My wifi (f12) switch does not illuminate!

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 running win7. All my software and drivers are up to date and seem to work. The problem I've had is switch wifi (f12) on my computer stays off constantly and it displays an amber light. I tried everything to get wifi to work, but nothing did nothing. Whenever I'm trying to look for a network to connect to, it just says there is no connection available despite the fact that all my other devices have internet and work correctly. Help, please!

  • F2 key is no longer active / disable the wifi switch card

I have laptop Dell mini. The F2 key is no longer active / disables the power switch wifi card. It is always disabled. The device is present, it seems to be a software problem. I uninstalled the drivers and them was reinstalled. I even completely reinstalled Windows 7. Nothing will get my F2 key works again.

    Happy, it's kind of better.

Consider going to Dell support for new copies of their public services - things with names like

    Dell Wireless enable / disable

    Dell function keys

that is, no matter what the equivalents are for your system. I just had a peek at one of the Minis because I didn't know you had and these names seem to be utilities controlling the special Dell configured keyboard keys [including F2 is a].

If you sign in with your Service tag, it just goes to show that you updated utilities & drivers but at the top of the list, right next to a label with your serial number on will be a tab for all models of type - leaf through as you don't care if something is an updated version you need to replace a utility that does not work properly.

  • IPad is not connect to wifi. Said the WRONG PASSWORD

iPad has developed a weird problem. Even when wifi is strong and my other iPhones are well connected, when I fill the right password, the iPad refuses to connect and continues by saying "wrong password".

At first I thought it was because too many devices are connected, but this happens even when all others are disconnected.

I reset the network settings. No improvement. Reset all the settings. No improvement. Nothing happened even when I turned off the ipad and it works again. Even putting him to sleep deep did not help.

I tried in several places with different wifi networks. He always says password IS INCORRECT PAST while it's perfectly ok

    Hello

Try a reboot press and hold the power button / stop and menu button hold both down until you see the apple logo.

If you have this problem, it could be a hardware failure.

Make an appointment on apple store.

  • WLAN / WiFi problem after 10 Windows upgrade

After an upgrade to Windows 10, WiFi seems to have been turned off, and when I try to activate it with Fn + F8, it says I need to activate the WiFi switch but there is no physical switch WiFi on this laptop model. And no luck trying to activate it right click on the adapter, via Windows GUI or the WiFi icon on the keyboard.

Tried to install the latest drivers for Realtek WiFi adapter Toshiba and the Toshiba system driver but no luck either.

I think that this issue may not be specific to the Win10 upgrade... Opportunity experienced by those who have upgraded to Windows 8, but impossible to find all the topics with a quick search.

Anyone know how I can be able to work around this problem?

I have the same problem, but my work around is to go to my program leader, Toshiba, Flashcard, button Support and click on TBSWireless. The WiFi icon will toggle on and off this icon. For me that only turns on the WiFi light, I then use the Fn/F8 key to activate the wifi. To check it works I have remove the LAN plug. It may be useful
