Mount iSCSI file in OS6 OS4

I recently ran the upgrade of the community on my ReadyNAS Pro 6 for ReadyNas OS 6.

I am running firmware 6.5.0 - T338.

I know that my device is support, so I hope someone would be kind enough to help me out here.

Of OS4, I supported files real iSCSI which are found in /c/.iscsi/* with the file ietd.conf in/etc.

Upgrade to OS6, the iSCSI subsystem seems completely revamped, but I was hoping to get records of iSCSI to extract some data off them, or even to present as an iSCSI target to migrate data off them.

If someone could provide a suggestion or some advice, I would really apprecaite it.

I'm still open to running a Virtual Machine with ReadyNas OS4, if someone could tell me how to get there.

Thank you.

I think I have found a solution to my problem.

I found a picture of the Raidiator 4.2.23 virtual box. to https://community.netgear.com/t5/Community-Add-ons/RAIDiator-x86-4-2-23-VirtualBox-image-notsupporte...

Thanks to Kurdistan for the creation of this back in the day.

    Hello

When I mount an ISO from MSDN site file (tried several) Windows 8 goes up the ISO, but it also displays the error:

Why is - this happens when I open documents using Mac advertising agency and I'm on PC?

    Hi Mikael,

files have been archived in archive zip-file when transferred via the ftp protocol? I guess, not.

If the files were already placed in a document, InDesign on the agency side the following workflow might be the solution:

    Office on Mac OSX:

1 package the InDesign document, as well as placed images and fonts of the necessary document with InDesign packing device.

    2. the folder packed in a zip zip file.

    3. download the zip file to an ftp server

    You on Windows:

    1. download the zipfile to your own workload.

2 unzip the zip on your workload. Do not delete the zip file.

    3. rename the folder of the package to fit your scheme of naming of jobs (option)

4 rename the InDesign document to adapt to your schema naming of jobs (option)

    5. open the InDesign file in the packed file.

Do not move or save somewhere else.

    Alternative:

Work with Dropbox to share documents on a shared volume of Dropbox, if documents must move forward and backward between you and the Agency.

  • Trying to mount vmdk file copied from running server

    Hello.

I can't mount a vmdk file in windows.

I used the backup software Trilead VM Explorer and made a backup of the original vmdk file. Now, I want just a document from this image file, and I'm not able to mount the file using VMware Mount. See the following example of me trying to get the file. It is a copy of the original vmdk file and it is not in use, but the program it is. My guess is that when the backup is taken, the image is written as its use in and im going to this topic in the wrong way.

    C:\Program Files\VMware DiskMount Utility > vmware-mount G: "F:\Gekab-flat.vmdk."

Impossible to mount the virtual drive. The disk can be used by a virtual machine or mounted under a different drive letter. If this is not the case, check that the disc is a virtual disk file, and the file of the disk was not courrupted.

Is there a work around for this problem?

    Kind regards

    Tommy

Hmm - the file seems ok for me.
In any case – move the vmsd file in a different directory and add the file I've attached in the same directory as the flat.vmdk
Then try to get that one.

If it still does not - whose architecture do you use? 64 bit or 32 bit?
try to mount with winimage - or in the case where you are using a 32-bit host try vdk.exe - see

  • Mount a file ISO in multiple virtual machines simultaneously.

    Hello

I found I can mount the same ISO file to virtual CD 8 VM simultaneously, but failed with the ninth VM. Is there a limitation on this subject?

    Thank you.

The ISO is mounted in a virtual machine running on an ESX ESXi host, a file lock is held on the ISO file. Each host for the file connection consumes a lock. There is a maximum of eight locks possible for a file residing on a VMFS 3 datastore. This limits the amount of hosts of virtual computers that can access a disk for a cluster of eight ESX/ESXi hosts. This restriction applies to the files of virtual disk (VMDK), ISO CD/DVD images, floppy disks or any other file.

  • Problem in a mount vmdk file: could not get a VIM ticket for this virtual disk.

    Hello

I have a virtual machine on ESX 3.0.1

When I get the file vmdk directly from ESX, it gets mounted successfully from the command prompt using the mount utility.

But when I try to mount the vmdk by VI file it displays error "Unable to get a VIM ticket for this virtual disk" on the command line.

I tried this for other virtual machines also and most of them work.

What is the reason for the error "unable to get a ticket for this virtual disk VIM.

How can I get this vmdk file mounted by VI?

Can you show the virtual computers view of inventory? The image you show of hosts and Clusters discovered.

  • Cannot mount the file, ClassCastException

    Hello

Can you tell me why I can't perform a file object in the example below?

            //This line throws a ClassCastException
            File file = (File)parent;

            File[] files = file.listFiles();
            return files.length;

(It is an implementation of a method of the TreeModel interface).

    Thank you.

Because the parent is not an object file. I believe that parent is a TreeNode, check if the user object is a file.

  • VMDK file between windows and ESXi with VMFS on iSCSI copy

Hi all!  I searched here and that you find that no good answer but then I hope that someone can help you.

We have a group of 3 servers ESXi running off a single iSCSI target and often need to copy VM from the VMFS file system.

To help the conversion tool is incredibly slow, it's on.  WinSCP and FastSCP work at about 5 MB and 3 MB/sec.  FTP is the best option so far, but it is only 8 MB/sec.  When we have to copy around a virtual machine that takes a lot of time of 20 GB.  In addition, when we make 15 copies of a VM is incredibly long.

I hoped to be able to directly connect to the iSCSI target and mount the system files somehow, but can't seem to find a way to do it.  Defect is there any method better or faster?  Perhaps a better FTP server than the option of proftpd?

We hoped a local copy with either USB or eSATA method, but doesn't seem to work.  USB is not detected even and I can not get a non-VMFS file system to mount via eSATA.

If it works better we can set up a linux machine to mount iSCSI target if copies of file can work this way.

    Thanks for the tips!

  • vSphere is reporting that the iSCSI disk is empty after adding it

First, when, after boot iSCSI service on Win7, then vSphere host, the iSCSI (form VMFS) drive often may not appear on the storage. After adding it, it's Ok.

But yesterday, he deleted an NTFS partition on the physical disk where the image iSCSI file is on another partition NTFS, which totally has 3 primary partitions before, today, after you add the iSCSI drive, vSphere displays an error message:

Configuring the host error: could not get disk partition information

After clicking the Ok button, he said: the disc is empty.

In my view, the virtual disk partition (image file) would not be affected by any change in the physical disk partition. I can't lose my data on this drive. How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you!

  • Could not open the iso file on El captain

    Hello

I have wan´t to burn an iso file to a DVD but I can´t opened using disk utility, as it should. When I click to open the file, nothing happens.

I also tried to mount the iso image using the terminal, and it says that it is impossible to mount the file system.

I have no idea how to solve this problem... Thank you in advance.

Apple has removed this possibility of disk utility 10.11

Right or OPT + click on the ISO file and select "burn to disc", the OS will burn an image ISO bootable 10.11.

Also you should probably update your card, those tell you under Snow Leopard.

  • If you mount an encrypted disk image, the entire image is decrypted?

I keep sensitive files on an encrypted disk image.  If I mount the disk image is any image decrypted or does OS X that decrypt the files that you open, on the fly?  I ask because I'm afraid that a hacker could access my computer remotely and poking it in the disk image if all is decrypted when it is mounted.  Any thoughts?

Mounted image files will be available in a form that is decrypted until it tore.

How can I mount a file ISO in WIndows 8?
I right click on the ISO file and the menu that opens does not give me an option of editing.  It says at the top of the game menu.  There is no an option of editing anywhere in the menu.  I looked into the open with option, but the Assembly isn't here either.

    Have you tried the following?

Right click on a .iso file > properties > click "Edit" under the "Général" tab > click on "Windows Explorer" > OK
