Using a laptop?

If so, you are most probably accidentally brushing your hand against the
touchpad that you type.

    Hello

With many Tecra M5, we regularly have a crazy mouse problem. I explain: the mouse pointer move only as a ghost and go at the top of the screen. In this case, it is impossible to control the pointer with Touch Pad but I can't with the AccuPoint (with difficulty because the pointer still want to go on top). The Touch Pad Driver is version 6.0.304.6, the [last | http://fr.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/tracker.jsp?file=http%3a%2f%2fsupport1.toshiba-tro.de%2ftedd-files2%2f0%2ftpdrv-20081007153100.zip |] Download here] and Windows XP SP3 (same problem with SP2).

For now, they're just one solution, 3-4 tap on the touchpad to unlock and pointer control but when problem come every 15 minutes of use, it is bad. It looks like a software problem, but anyone know if a patch available?

Thanks for all answer to ;-)

  • My mouse pointer moves in the opposite direction, I intend when I use the touchpad on my laptop. It works fine when I use my docking station and external mouse. How can I fix it?

I'm using Windows Vista with a Sony Vaio laptop.  At the office, I have a docking station with keyboard and external mouse.  Everything works fine with this Setup.  But when I unplug the docking station and use the touchpad on the laptop, my mouse pointer moves in the opposite direction, that is my intention.  I move my finger and the pointer down.  I move to the right and the pointer goes left.  How can I fix?

Go to start /Control Panel, and then double-click the icon '' mouse. '' When this window opens, select the tab "Touch Pad" at the top. There's a box near the bottom called "Touch sensitivity", click on that. Change the settings a little bit lower than what they are currently at.

  • Cursor move while typing

I've seen many, many comments on this issue, but none of the suggestions have solved my problem. I just bought this HP EliteBook with Windows 7 and MS Office 2013. It doesn't have a touch screen. The problem occurred in my other computer laptop with Windows 7, but not nearly as bad as on the new. I've updated the keyboard and mouse. I ticked the box "hide the mouse pointer when you type. The Ctrl key is not near the space bar, so I'm not accidentally hit instead of the space bar. This seems to be a problem specific to laptops. Is there a solution? It is almost impossible to use this laptop.

I chose "Email and Communications" as the topic, but this applies to any that I type.

    Hello

You can refer to the suggestions of Vinod N replied on 12 May 2011 and check if it works.

  • Mouse pad off while typing

I recently bought a laptop W530, and I had an embarrassing problem. When I type, or hold down a key, the carpet mouse does not move. Connected mouse and trackpoint works perfectly, but the touchpad, I was hoping to use, does not work. I looked in the options of mouse and touchpad, but I can't find a setting that disables the mouse during typing. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try disabling PalmCheck (mouse-> UltraNav-> the TouchPad settings-> check the presets-> PalmCheck) by unchecking the checkbox 'favour for TrackPoint and keyboard of seizure.

  • Wireless Bluetooth not recognised in Vista - mouse pointer move not.

Have Microsoft and Logitech wireless mice. New batteries in both. Everyone has light display in bluetooth adapter and mouse. Neither will move pointer... What can be the problem?

    Thank you!

Have you installed the drivers, firmware, or software required for the function of the mouse?  Even if you did since the discs that came with the mouse, it could have many updates since then.  Go to the manufacturer web sites to get downloads there is place and install them and then restart and see if the mouse works now.  Make sure you get accurate versions applicable to your mouse AND your version of Vista. Also, try to plug one at a time - they may be conflicting with each other.  If no, go to start / Control Panel / mouse and check the settings to make sure that bluetooth is turned on (and the same goes for bluetooth itself).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Tecra S1: Move the mouse pointer

From time to time my mouse pointer moves slowly upward or sideways. This happens once anchored and when not docked. In the latter case, I have an external mouse not attached.

    seasack

    Hi seasack

If you use the pointer internal (the stick between GH and B), it is very common that the ca of pointer starts to move.
The reason is a bit technical but very understandable.
The mouse pointer works like a small joystick. Means that it is that you push forward, down, sideways and so on. However, please check the HOUSE or 0-position from time to time. When you're not, this would be a normal position of the HOUSE for us but it doesn't.
It is therefore possible that it may be wrong to believe that the position of the HOUSE is when you push forward.
If you stand and do not change the position of the needle for (I think) 2 separate controls the position of the HOUSE, this position will then be the new post HOME until the next time he finds another.
Actual cases is not that extreme, of course, but more normal cases are that you bend your finger on the pointer when for example reading something on the screen. The pointer can recognize as a small boost, and if you do go, then he could have a new position of the HOUSE and start to drift or it could be "heavy" feeling in a certain direction.
The solution? Simple! Leave it on for about 5 seconds and it will go away.

If you have this problem, even if your not even using the pointer, then I guess you have a hardware problem.
Try disabling the internal mouse by pressing FN + F9.

    Good luck

  • Black screen with mouse pointer count on reboot after installing SP3

I tried to install Service Pack 3 on a PC running XP Home Edition (new installation).

Although Microsoft Update has finished installing SP3 and the computer reboots, I get the XP installation screen base with the message "Please wait...". ", which disappears after a few seconds, leaving me with a black screen with only the mouse pointer.

The mouse pointer moves then the PC broke down, well that no matter how long I leave nothing happens.

I tried to uninstall SP3 and do it again (when I Uninstall SP3, Windows starts very well) and also uninstall SP3 as well as my Antivirus and try the installation again. But whenever I'm just left whit black screen.

Try to update with the custom option.  I had problems like this before.  Usually you are missing a driver or something of this kind that makes you hang.  To update while the custom option, with the exception of SP3.  Reboot several times the installation of updates with the "Custom" option  Once all updates have been installed except SP3, you can try SP3 and see what happens.  This usually takes care of it when I have the same problem. • The mouse pointer & open windows disappear off the screen to the right

The mouse pointer moves beyond the screen to the right and is not visible, as if the office is extended beyond the edge of the screen. Open programs or programs visible on the taskbar sometimes will, when clicked on disappear too out there and then I can't get them on the screen where I can see. If I'm lucky I can get the pointer in the right spot and can drag the back window where I can see it.

I have a 22 "h - d lcd wide screen monitor. Are there settings that I need to adjust or what?

    Thank you

You have a second monitor or a television plugged into the video card? You will need to go into your control panel of the video driver and adjust it for a single screen.

You can also try the automatic adjustment of your monitors.

  • the movement of the unusual cursor while typing in ms word

While typing in ms word, cursor suddenly moves to another location and start typing there. Therefore, I need to see my monitor hit every time as I type. In addition, it makes my slow typing because of spending a lot of time to return the cursor to the original postion. He bathering me. I went to the section mouse of the heart for the edition Control Panel to change the pointer option. It don't did not help me.
I use windows vista home Edition. I have MS Word 2007.
Thanking you in advance for the help

    Hey,.

If the Touchpad is too sensitive and even the slightest brush of the hand or sleeve (wrists) causes the laptop thinking that you "click the mouse". This makes the insertion point jump to where ever the cursor is being located. What you need to do is to go into the setup for the Touchpad and disable the mouse click simulation or change the sensitivity of much lower. that is, if you go to control panel, mouse, you should be able to change the sensitivity of the touchpad or disable the function 'click '. Or if you have an attached external mouse then just turn it off. Reduce the sensitivity option low and verify if you are able to work with Word normally.

Insert a USB mouse and check if you are facing the issue. If it works great, I recommend you contact your pavement tactile manufacturer for additional support.

  • Satellite R850 - cursor moves at random while typing

I use this R850 because it was provided by the work.
I found it almost as frustrating as the HP, I got to my previous job... and it's for the same reasons!

-The cursor moves randomly, then when typing I find I type completely in the wrong place.
-It removes random pieces of my work - particularly frustrating on a web page where there is no "undo" button
-When you use functions like drag in the editor, or highlight text, the touchpad is not always cooperative.
-Some random/spaces etc. letters do not occur despite proper pressure.

Quite frankly, it takes too much time to do things and I want to throw out of a dam in a deep lake.

No liquid has been spilled on it.
Are no crumbs in the keyboard.
This seems to be a defective product as the "HP Elitebook" I got last year!

This happened to me because I accidentally touched the touchpad while typing.
In my case I could solve this annoying problem issue but the option settings: disable the touchpad while typing.

This setting should be available in Control Panel-> mouse-> avancΘs

The other option is to disable the touch pad using the function key
