MP830 print head error message

After that I put in a thick black cartridge in my printer MP830, it comes up with a message saying

"The type of print head is incorrect.  Install the correct print head.

I have nothing else except put in new black ink cartridge (a small one) then needed large one done and had to wait for a delivery of clips for the larger cartridge.  Installed black cartridge thick and error message as above.

I removed the print head and reinstalled according to Karl1, expert in products, turned on and outside; repeated head print reinstall and same message referred to in paragraph 1.

New print heads are $249, which is ridiculous, and this seems to be one problem with others with this product.

Help please.

I saw that you answered, but I can not find your answer.  The only one is the answer you gave to mags which was the same problem I had.

email me at (MOD NOTE: Email address removed in accordance with Forum guidelines) with how to get your reply and a resolution of this seemingly common problem.  I need to print and go buy another printer, but not a Canon, if you can't come up with a good solution.

  • OfficeJet 6812: I get a print head error message

I get the error message "problem with printhead. I tried all of the suggestions I found on the forum and am unable to solve the problem. I spoke with a representative chat, and she asked if he was allowed to have a technician call me. I said ok and gave my phone #. The tech who called was a third-party company that passes with software problems and was not able to help with my print head problem, because it is a hardware problem. I went online and entered my information of the printer and I was told that it is no longer treated by hp.

I am very angry and annoyed that I literally bought the printer on 05/11/15 and hp will not right dated 06/06/16 it no longer works. It's a good thing I bought a warranty to the store when I bought the printer. They will refund my money within 15 working days. This of course does not help my problem, it?

    I won't buy a HP printer again.

It's a shame that what was once a reputable company is no longer stands by their product or their customers.

The printer needs to be replaced by HP, contact them as described in the paper here.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: HP Officejet 6700 Premium - missing or has no print head Error Message

THIS IS A MUST READ! COSTCO ROCKS! I bought my HP 6700 just less than 3 years after the explosion of ink everywhere inside a different HP printer and stopped working on me. (Which I thought was my fault. Now, I'm not sure.) A week ago, I started getting the error message "printhead missing or defective. I have tried everything what he has proposed and managed to make a few more before copies he refused to do more. I had online in the hope of finding a solution and found this forum and all the people, swearing to never buy another product HP because of this obvious 'planned obsolescence'. I had just replaced the ink cartridges twice, which showed how little I used it, but I had it for 3 YEARS so I thought I'm screwed!  I was angry against HP and I wanted to do COSTCO know they should stop selling their shit. I called COSTCO and spoke to a young woman and asked if they had had a lot of feedback on this model. She asked her supervisor, and he said a couple, but not something unusual. I said on this forum, and how they probably had not heard anything because most failed right after the warranty expires! She said "well bring back! I said 'What?'. «» Bring back! ", she said. I managed to stifle the "but, but, the guarantee was until TWO YEARS ago! She said "we worry not about the manufacturer's warranty. We want our customers to be happy with everything they buy at COSTCO! ». It's as simple as that.

    I repeat. COSTCO ROCKS!

Now, if everybody who bought this printer from COSTCO back it when (not so) it breaks, even long after that the warranty is up, and COSTCO may be sending all back to HP, HP will begin to worry that annoy me COSTCO is a bad idea. And then maybe the poor people who have bought their printer elsewhere will begin to get an appropriate response to their complaints. I hope this post doesn't fighting flag and delete for inappropriate language. I tried to keep PG :-)

Obviously, there is a problem with many people.  While I remember just when I bought it, and it is even possible that I had for 6 months or a year, this print head thing is a problem, and so far, the machine worked perfectly.  I wouldn't have to go buy another when it's clear, there is a malcunction with the machine that is so widespread.

I need my printer to my job every day. Which caussed cela and have the rest of you is also the woman who had been his machine for only 30 days?

  • Officejet Pro L7780 print head error

I have a Officejet Pro L7780 all-in-one. Recently, it does not work due to a print head error (printhead missing or damaged M/C). Help, please.  Thank you very much.

    Hello

Use the following link to complete the troubleshooting steps.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01446637

If you still receive the error message after you perform the steps in troubleshooting mentioned in the document, then try cleaning print head in the printer menu.

Installation Menu - Tools - cleaning print head

Configure the Menu - Tools - align printer.

If none of these help then try this reset... This reset will restore the printer to its factory settings & will clear all the settings of the printer.

Unplug the cord from the back of the printer while the printer is always enabled.

Now hold "# & 9 ' buttons on the printer and connect the power chords while pressing the 2 keys. Wait 10 seconds, then release the keys.

If the printer turns off automatically, then wait for 10secs. and then turn on the printer using the power button on the printer.

    I hope this helps.

I have a HP officejet printer 7580 all-in-one with the error message "the following ink cartridges appear to be missing or damaged. Someone at - it suggestions for me?

Looks like you did a lot of troubleshooting for the cartridge error number.  The areas of print head and cartridge are separated in the OJ series L7580 printer, so the effect print head not this error.  The error comes from the electrical contact with the cartridge in question, appears magenta of the post.

Follow the steps described in the document, found here, to solve the problem and determine if the error comes from the cartridge or the electrical system internal printer.

    Hi @clairerobinson6.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that your printer does not print and directs you to instant ink site. I would like to help.

The printer is in the instant the ink program. He receives this error for two reasons. The printer has not been able to connect to the servers of HP ink level controls or the number of pages in a long time, or there is a bill pending. Normally when you sign in to your instant account of ink there is an opinion on the matter. If you do not see a notification, try to reach out to the instant the ink Department.

You can send them a tweet directly from your instant ink account, or use this link to find the appropriate phone number.
