Original title: Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard & Mouse 1. 0a

Our offices are using Microsoft Wireless Keyboard & Mouse multimedia 1. 0a. It works very well until recently, when a person entering a room the other rooms will pick up what is typed by the other person. I've tried re-sync alll the device but no luck. Any suggestions?

    Eric2009,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forum.  What is the approximate distance from the PC which is picking up a false signal?  The range for this device should be about 6 feet.
If you have the latest drivers for your device, then download and install the latest from here: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/downloads/default.mspx once you have the latest version of the installed software I would suggest turning all off the PC.  Then sync them one at a time all are off the other pc.

I have the MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1 installed on my PC.

I recently had a few separate issues with my computer and technology at Geek Squad did some work cleaning on my PC for best performance and to get rid of a bad program.  I am running Vista SP2.

On my keyboard, there are a series of buttons on the top which opens to different folders, or programs.  I had to open Excel and open Word.  The others are default Media Player, email, IE 8, My Documents and my pictures.  Everything worked correctly and opened the program folder / to, before cleaning.  Now mail, IE 8, and Media Player buttons still work, but others did not.  However if I open the Microsoft Keyboard program buttons become functional and remain so until I restart the computer. The keyboard works fine otherwise.  Y at - it a boot option which can have been withdrawn inadvertently during the cleaning process, which is the cause and if so how can I have reconstitute?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi BCfromKY,

To test the response of the keys on the keyboard, use the Microsoft keyboard Diagnostics (MS Key), a utility program that is included with the Microsoft IntelliType software. To use MS Key, follow these steps.

Note the MS key utility is only supplied with the version of the Microsoft IntelliType 1.1 and later versions. If you do not have Microsoft IntelliType installed, you can visit the following Microsoft Web site to install this software:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK)

Start Microsoft Keyboard Diagnostics. To do this, use one of the following methods:

    a. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories and then click Run.

    (b) in the Open box, type mskey and then click OK.

    c. If you get no response in MS Key on your keyboard, test the keyboard on another computer. If the keyboard does not work on another computer, see the "Références" section for more information on how to contact Microsoft Supplemental parts to get a replacement.

Hello, I replaced my monitor, but my keyboard did not work properly and when I spam a letter as "aaaaaaaaaaaa" very long, it stops and I have to press it again. Can someone help me? I have the same situation in a game when I'm pressing certain keys that I have. It is very annoying... So I posted here because my keyboard and mouse are both of Microsoft,

I tried putting in new battery, restart, re - detect the mouse and keyboard but did not work!

    Solution:

It worked perfectly. I also tried to hand over to the old place, and the problem appeared. So I put it in front of the keyboard and the problem disappeared!

  • Windows 8 Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1

Where can I find the driver of my Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1 Windows 8?

Yes, I have the same keyboard...

I have a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard V1.1 and a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000. (I actually 2 set s of them.) These are brought together as a Pack years ago. Both work very well and have never had any problems. Unfortunately I discovered that the keyboard is not compatible with the new mouse and keyboard Center, although I found a way to make both work properly & be able to program BOTH with Windows 8.1.

First of all, do NOT try to use the center of the mouse and the keyboard as the keyboard is NOT compatible. If you have installed this software go to 'Control panel' & 'programs and features' and uninstall.

    Download these 2 files:

  • wireless multimedia keyboard Microsoft 1.1 on my desktop using Vista home premium and the keys are coming all wrong

I have a multimedia keyboard 1.1 microsoft wireless on my desktop using Vista Home premium, and the keys are all coming up badly, when I type 'k' for example I get 'a' or if I type 'p' I get 'v' and give me space '9' someone can tell me how to solve this problem?

    Hi Winchesterdream,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers community site.

I suggest you try the following steps

Step 1: Connect the keyboard to a different computer. If the keyboard works correctly on another computer, the port to which the keyboard was connected on the original computer may be damaged. If this is the case, contact your computer manufacturer to find out how to repair or replace the damaged port.

Step 2: Download and install the latest keyboard software

To download the latest drivers for the keyboard that you use, see the following Microsoft hardware Web site:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK

Step 3: Press the SHIFT key to turn five times keys Stick On or Off and check if the problem persists.

Let me know if it works. Good luck!

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,

    KKS Vijay

  • Where can I find driver for MS Wireless MultiMedia Keyboard 1.1 model 1014

I am running XP Pro 64-bit, 8 GB of Ram.  I recently had to format my HD and everything... to reinstall all the software programs and hardware connected.  This includes the keyboard listed in the title of this message.  Everything works... MS Wireless Optical Mouse 2000... and all the keys on the keyboard, with the exception of the key 'Sleep' on the far right end.  I used the CD packed when I bought the keyboard and the mouse packaged together.

When I go into settings where it shows the list of ads of the keys, the sleep key is not in the list!

I uninstalled the keyboard using the Panel of configuration/Add / Remove programs.  Then, I ran CCleaner and restarted my computer.

I then download and installed the driver only POSSIBLE listed on the MS site, and I noticed that the list did NOT say 1.1 that the Sleep button still does NOT work.

I then uninstalled the newest driver and once again used the original CD, restarted my computer.  Nothing has changed.  All keys UNDER the intended MS sleep function key.

I checked the properties, hardware, driver, Control Panel, keyboard.  It shows 6.31.222.0 driver.

This keyboard operated perfectly from November 14, 2008 when I built this desktop computer and it should once again!

How can I correct/eliminate this problem?

    Hello

You have whatever it is again plugged into the PC?

You are still able to get in mode sleep without the use of this shortcut key?

You may need to reinstall the system drivers, like you, for example video card drivers.

In addition, in the data sheet of the product (in the link provided above), you will notice this line: shortened sleep functionality is available if your system supports power management and it helped, and that all devices are compatible with power management.

This is why I am asking if there is that anything that is plugged into the PC that might be turning off standby.

Also, since you said it was perfect in the past, have you tried a system restore to a point in time in which it was working fine?

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?
    2. try using another keyboard and see if the problem still occurs.
3 is what happens even if you press the second button on the keyboard?

    Method 1.
I would ask you to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard. In addition, if there is any software installed for the keyboard it is recommended to uninstall and reinstall that.
See the articles below for assistance.
    Method 2.
I ask you to place the computer in start state in minimum mode and check if the problem persists.

  • Windows 7 and Microsoft Wireless natural Multimedia keyboard

I have a Dell Studio XPS 435 t 64-bit computer using Windows 7 Home Premium.  I recently joined my natural Microsoft Wireless Multimedia keyboard with the usb key.  The keyboard works fine, except for the three buttons at the top left (My Documents, my pictures, and my music).  The close session button also does not work.  When I press on them, nothing happens.  On my old computer using Windows XP Multimedia, top left buttons open the corresponding files.

I have two questions.  First of all, is there anything I can do to get these four buttons to work once more?  And secondly, is there a way to reallocate what happens when I press the buttons?

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard, special keys on top of the keyboard do nothing

    Hello

I use Vista 64 bit and am having a problem with my Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia keyboard.  I use a port USB to ps/2 adapter for keyboard can work in my Dell which has usb inputs.  I downloaded and installed ITP64Eng6.30.191.0.exe Web sites to get the keyboard work.

Almost everything works fine except for the special keys on top of the keyboard (My Documents, my pictures, my music and Messenger).  When I press the buttons, nothing happens.  I tried the reallocation by using the software that has been installed with ITP64Eng6.30.191.0.exe nothing works.   Curiously, some other buttons special (media, mail and home) do not work except that they cannot be reassigned.  I also tried to delete and reinstalled ITP64Eng6.30.191.0.exe without success to get all of the keys on the keyboard to work.

In addition, sometimes the return key back and to the right cursor key will not work.  Sometimes they work and sometimes they are not.  Ususally they work very well for a while and then if I reboot they will work again.

Keyboard diagnostics does not recognize the keys that do not work as same presses.  I know that all the keys work fine when I use them on my XP machine.

    Thanks for your help.

To study more, I start to think that the keyboard doesn't perhaps due to the adapter usb to ps/2.  I use the SABRENT USB to PS/2 (PS/2) converter adapter cable model SBT-PS2U.  Based on the reviews on newegg.com, it may be the card that is originally a few keys not working and the collage of some keys.

  • DELL INSPIRON 2320 - Natural Wireless Laser Keyboard 7000 - default value is | Caps lock | WE (turned on) in all fields of password

    Hi y ' All

DELL INSPIRON 2320 - Natural Wireless Laser Keyboard 7000 - default is Caps Lock ON (active) only when the cursor is in a field of password.

The game of keyboard mouse 7000 is great.

However, when the cursor is in any field/bos where a password must came me in, CapLock default value (setting) is ON or activated.

    • This only happens only in a field/area requiring a password to enter... but it happens each unique time, any application or what connection Web site password field I can be located anywhere on the Internet.
    • Again, this is only a problem when the cursor is in a password field.
    • This (setting) can be reversed that, when the cursor is in an area of password, default (setting) will be | Caps Lock |  STOP =?

In the BIOS settings, I only find a selection of NumLock setting.  In Centre of keyboard and Microsoft mouse, the only setting that I can locate offers the choice to enable or disable the use of the Caps Lock key... entirely.  So, when turned on, the default value is lock shift = WE only in a password box.  Know, I is not no accidentally redundant; I repeat this case specific to the question in order to stress that this is the only time only this question.

Like most people, I have to enter the password often. This problem occurs if the "remember me" or "keep me logged in" is selected.

    It's much more irritating.

Thank you for your considerations and possible solutions, if any.
