• Windows 8: no multitouch on the Vostro V131 touchpad

  Dear all,

  Is it just me or Windows 8 cannot recognize the V131 as capable of multitouch touchpad, or dedicated drivers are available from Dell on http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/Product/vostro-v131?

  If I'm wrong and it is a question, is - Dell anyone can suggest how to proceed?

  7 Touch-pad for Windows drivers are compatible with Windows 8, download and install the drivers for touch-pad, change settings to multi touch and check if it works.  Here is the link for drivers for Touch-pad for reference: http://dell.to/QiDoJu

• Multitouch gestures do not work on my Windows 7.

  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5086 with Windows 7 Home Premium, and for some reason, multitouch gestures are not activated, as if they were when I bought it. I do not see in the settings of the activation object, so could someone please tell/show me how to fix it?

  According to the description, it seems that you are facing a problem during execution of multi touch on your computer.

  It would be great if you could answer this question in order to help you further.

  Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

  This problem occurs because of touch settings or driver issue, I suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

   

  Method 1:

  I suggest you to check the mouse settings.

  Open Pen and Touch by pressing the Start button and then tapping Control Panel. In the search box, type touch penand then, in the list of results, on Pen and Touch.

   

  Method 2:

  I suggest you install the latest drivers and check if it helps.

• scroll and zoom device Synaptics multitouch works not

  My touchpad Synaptics used two finger scroll or zoom in and out using the multitouch feature in firefox. I updated the drivers and reinstalled friefox. multitouch works in other programs and on the main desktop of windows 7 to control the size of items. the cursor responds to the action showing that it runs the command to scroll or zoom, but firefox does not meet the order. When I scroll with an external mouse and my touchpad at the same time and I stop with the mouse, the touch pad will continue to work until I have stop moving for even the smallest fraction of time

  Some actions have been removed in versions of Firefox 4 +.

  You can restore the zoom feature by changing the related values of downtown on the topic: config page.

• Windows 7 Upgrade Guide for dv6000/dv9000 models

  Things you need to know and do before the upgrade:

  1 HP may require that reinstall you Vista back if you have hardware problems to solve the.

  2 HP will not help you if you have software problems because these models are not officially supported

  with Windows 7.

  3. before you upgrade to Windows 7 will make it please Vista Recovery CD/DVD. How all the information here.

  4. all drivers Vista and software preinstalled by HP for your model are in the folder in C:\swsetup .

  If you still have on your HARD drive, then copy this folder on a CD/DVD. You may need them one day.

  5 users with nVidia graphics card should check the temperature of this device before upgrading.

  Hi, I have a version with SSD 256 GB and FHD Multitouch. The upgrade was smooth as silk, no problem. All devices have been found, the only message from the equipment manager was an enumerator of IWD Bus disabled. This was resolved by updating the graphics driver on the Intel site (drivers Lenovo section is slightly behind).

  I've updated all Lenovo utilities, some of them are useful. There was some bloatware to get rid of, but nothing major.

  Generally, initailly I thought I wouldn't be able to live with Win8. 2 weeks later, I'm on Win8.1, in a multi-screen configuration, and I see is no longer a downgrade to Windows 7 it's a good thing I guess.

  The only complaint I have on the machine's display (of course it isn't windows 8.1 Associates). The backlight bleeding is absolutely terrible, never seen anything like this. Fortunately, I use it for work, but if I wanted to know a movie in full screen, dark scenes would be barely watchable.

  I got my compressed X 230 recently and want to run it in Windows 8. After the upgrade yesterday, the touchscreen will not work: the position is always in the lower right corner, but clicking is recognized.   I recently bought a laptop HP Pavilion G6-2260sh. on the site of HP Unfortunatelly there are only drivers for Windows 8. I don't want Windows 8, I need Windows 7 operating system.
  When I got the laptop there is an installed Windows 7 Ultimate with drivers. So it must be drivers for Windows 7 for HP Pavilion G6-2260sh... somewhere, unfortunately I messed type of windows and now it needs to be reinstalled. I asked a few questions autour and the guy who sold me the laptop and this is the situation:
  My laptop is with AMD processor and video card. He told me to reinstall what version of Windows 7, I want, then install the wireless card and ethernet so I can connect to the Internet. Then download and install a small program called "amd autodetect", this program will automatically find and download all the drivers.

  I don't have ethernet internet at home, I have only wireless.

  The problem is: after installing Win 7 how I'm supposed to install the wifi card to get this internet connection and deal with the AMD AUTODETECT program with all the drivers?

  Could you point me to somewhere I can find a driver for the wireless card. ? If there are drivers for everthing will be great! I'm looking a lot.

  The touchscreen device on our x 200 tablets have been called series Wacom tablet.  Works great under XP.  I'm trying to get a job with Windows 7 now.  The driver of Lenovo's "multitouch" don't work (I don't think that these pills are multitouch anyway) and the driver directly from Wacom results in a BSOD.  "Tablet with pen Wacom Serial" driver apparently comes with Windows 7, because that's where if I manually select a driver.  I had once at forcing work to use this driver, but now after reinstalling again it just says: the device cannot start.  Any ideas?

  
  

• X220t Windows 8 touch (not pen) issues - actions / movies does not

  I did a clean install of Windows 8 on a X220t.  Since the initial start, using a finger on the touch screen worked correctly.  You might drag on the edges, show the charms, arrange windows, scrolling, etc.  You might even see microsoft faint "tracer", following the movement of your finger on the screen.

  Once I installed the windows updates and updated system Thinkvantage, the possibility for the acts suddenly disappeared.  Now, you can use your finger to move the cursor of the mouse around, but gestures don't work.   You use the stylus for input, you can however make the sweeping gestures.  What gives?  I uninstalled all drivers I could find, but it has not solved the problem.  I uninstalled all HID devices and let them detect again and still same.

  Then I tried the wacom specific windows 7 drivers, windows drivers 8 and lenovo windows 7 drivers and are slow to return it works correctly with the help of the finger.

  Under Tablet and PC settings, it shows 'pen and touch support limited '.   I really want to start from scratch and go by driver to know that which blitzed it or I'll get a finger gesture to teach my own windows. :-)

  PROBLEM SOLVED:

  I used a copy of Windows 8 Pro system manufacturer.  Apparently, this version does not support multitouch on devices if the drivers of contact are not Microsoft Certified.

  I bought a windows key "retail" Pro 8, made a re-activation of the key system, does not have one thing or move any software, just rebooted and now hop, everything works fine.

• X 220 TrackPoint wandering mode Tablet (Windows 8)

  I have a compressed X 220 which I've upgraded to Windows 8 x 64.  Most of the functions work, but in tablet mode, the rear of the LCD rubs against the TrackPoint causing the involuntary cursor movement.  This and similar issues were reported in the discussions below.  I tried all the suggested fixes, but have not been able to solve the problem.

  I'm running ThinkPad UltraNav Driver 16.2.19.2 and ThinkVantage Active Protection System 1.77.0.9.  I installed the ThinkPad Tablet button Driver 2 for Windows 8 (x 64) 1.06 and ThinkPad Tablet Shortcut Menu 6.33.  The process of TSMResident and TSMService service are running.  I also tried the mechanical fix suggested replacing the trackpoint with low profile older style eraserhead, but this did not help.  The rubber feet and tabs allow you to enter in contact with the screen LCD is completely intact.  I also tried to install the Multitouch in Windows 7 driver as mentioned in a post, but got an error that "a supported tablet was not found on the system."

  Any other ideas?

  There is another driver, you could try to use and see if it helps. Here you will find the latest version of the Synaptics driver. Synaptics is the company that also manufactures the UltraNav driver. The driver is the base Synaptics driver, but there should be more, if not all, of the features of the UltraNav driver. You can find the driver here.
