MX7 problem: the remote computer Admin Access

In the last month or so, I'm suddenly unable to connect to the web application admin of any machine as the Web server itself. It hangs just for minutes, try to connect and possibly error an error standard IIS (not trace debugging of CF), saying: there is a dns error or it does not find the site.

I'm on the same subnet - this is a laboratory of development - and it has worked well for years, through CF5 and CFMX6. Then last month, while remaining on MX6, I was suddenly unable to connect, without any changes to the configuration at all.

I upgraded to MX7 today (hoping that the problem of admin access would, even if it wasn't the reason for the upgrade) and I'm still not able to access the/CFIDE/administrator/app from anywhere but the localhost. CFDocs works very well, and all my sites and all the apps work fine. I just can't access the administrator application remotely.

Any ideas out there?

In the interest of full disclosure, I work for the federal Government, and here it personnel grows a never-ending stream of updates by SMS to our OS, browsers, applications, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they have disabled something that is necessary for the purposes of CFadmin, but I can't understand how to check. But the admin app does not work on Firefox, IE or netscape (and they only patch for IE).

Got the answer.

Our COMPUTER wizards push SMS packages them all the time, thinking that a single solution works for all the world. It's a few coders in our establishment are not tons of hidden programs being installed on our desktop in the name of "security."

They have installed BlackIce Intrusion detection firewall. I discovered this looking through my process active and found "blackd.exe. I disabled who and all of a sudden, I could access the CF admin immediately from any browser.

Now I just have to find a way to change BlackIce or disable it without the police IT, put it back, every night...

  • Connection to the remote computer problems

Have XP Pro on work and home computers. Monitoring the windows XP start using remote desktop info. Computer work defined as host, trying to connect remote, after putting in the name of the computer to work, I get "unknown parameter was specified in the computer name field.  How can I connect to my work computer?

    Hi Raider2118,

    · What is the work computer protected by password?

    · Is the work computer have to plan together?

When you connect to another computer using Remote Desktop connection when you specify ComputerName/console in the computer box, and then you click Connect note ComputerName is the name of the remote computer to which you want to connect.

To get the name of the computer navigate to the location below:

    a. Click Start, right click my computer

    b. click Properties

    c. Select the computer name tab

If you have tried the steps above and then temporarily disable the security software on the computer and then try to connect to the computer and check the results.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • "The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

    Hello

I received the following error message

"The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

This happens when I try to log on my remote on the icon access log, I put on my computer at home so that I can get to work if I need to.  He worked for a few months after I bought my new laptop and software, but now suddenly it doesn't.  I talked to my guy TI in the work and they seem to think it's a common problem with "Vista Home Premium", I can do to change it so that I can use the remote access icon?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Licensing protocol handles the communication of information on licenses between your computer and the remote computer. If there is an error in the licensing protocol, your computer may not be connected to the remote computer.

To resolve this problem, restart the computer and try connecting to the remote computer. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the server administrator.

This also occurs if one of the registry entries is corrupt. Try the following steps to resolve this problem.
    1. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
    2. on the window of the registry editor, navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing
    3. right click MSLicensing, click on export and provide a file name for example RemoteKeyBackup and click on save to the desktop.
    4. right click on the HardwareID key and store under MSLicensing folder and click on delete.
5 restart the computer for changes to take effect. Restarting the computer will create new keys.

NOTE: If the problem persists, then you can take backup of the MSLicensing registry key and to load it on the computer of the problem, this will fix the problem.

Visit this link for more information:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756826 (WS.10) .aspx

Important: Incorrectly editing the registry can cause serious problems on the computer.
    Back up the registry: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

Try the steps and check the result.

    Kind regards

  • Remote Desktop disconnected. The remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to connect to the computer again.

I understand there is a patch to 'fix' it, but I don't know how to access.  Can anyone help?   Thank you.

Here is an article on this problem with a proposed solution - although it seems a bit risky.  I would create a point system restore and backup of the registry before trying. http://kjctech.net/2009/06/12/the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error/.  The same answer is given by Microsoft here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=187614.

Here is an another artidle which includes essentially the same correction (although I didn't check closely to see if they were the same): http://www.techbuzz.in/how-to-fix-the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error-in-the-licensing-protocol-in-windows-vista.php.

The thing is, I can't find a clear answer, if this applies between two ordinary computers or between a server and a computer.  I hope that the solution works in both cases.  If this isn't the case, you can still use the system restore to go back to the old situation and we can try to find another solution.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

  • HP link Setup requires an account on the remote computer, how do you do that?

HP link Setup requires an account on the remote computer, how do you do that? Someone please help! Thank you.

I understand that you need to know how to set up a user name and password on the remote PC to HP LinkUP.

This document explains how to use the program.  Looking at the screenshots included, looks like it's just using the user account that is within Windows on the system.  If the local account on the Windows (remote system) system user does not have a password, then HP Link UP may not work for security reasons.  Some remote access programs (even on a LAN) have access problems with empty passwords on the remote system.

This document has a video on the program if you want to examine.

  • PC migration - converter could not connect to the remote computer. A general error occurred: unknown internal error

    Hello

I am brand new to fusion m v so forgive me if I miss useful information of the first post time around.

I try to use migrate your PC, feature of VM Fusion 8 but I see the error in the title of the topic when I try to start the import operation.

I have disabled the firewall on the PC and MAC

I tried over ethernet and direct connections

When I run the migration of PC Windows tool, he complains that UAC is enabled even if it is not (confirmed via Control Panel and evolution via the command prompt)

When you try to migrate, it accepts the PIN and then shows a warning on this certificate, that I choose to browse

He will then ask admin username/pass on the PC (I tried my only regular and also tried setting a new admin user and try this)

After that, I see the error: the migration of PC - Converter could not connect to the remote computer. A general error occurred: unknown internal error

Should I keep trying to get this working, or that it will be more easy to find a way less direct to turn the PC to a virtual machine on the Mac?
