my camera does not need drivers but the computer said I do

I have a pqi usb flash drive 8 gig and said it should not be the drivers, but the computer says that can anyone help please.

Hi Vanessa,

Welcome to the Microsoft community.

It seems that you are facing problems with the USB (Universal Serial Bus) device; We're here to help. It would be great if you can answer the following questions:

1 have had any changes made on the computer before the show?

2. What is the full and exact error message?

3. What is the model of the PQI USB flash drive?

4. what happens when you plug in the flash drive?

When you use any compatible plug-and-play device, Windows 7 automatically installs the driver. However, you can follow these methods if you are always faced with the question:

Method 1:

I suggest for the link and try to run the Troubleshooter:

Tips for solving problems of USB devices

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/tips-for-solving-problems-with-USB-devices

The article also applies to the Windows 7 operating system.

Method 2:

I suggest you to disable and re-enable the USB controllers:

a. click Startand then click run.

b. type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.

c. expand Bus USB controllers.
Note: You need to scroll the list to find this point.

d. right-click the first USB controller under USB Bus controllersand then click Uninstall to remove it.

e. Repeat step 4 for each USB controller is listed under Bus USB controllers.

Note: restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically check for changes on the hardware and reinstall all USB controllers that you uninstalled.

If you have additional questions on the computer, please ask your question about Windows and we will be happy to help you.

  • Satellite M30X-111 screen does not display anything but the external monitor works

My laptop just screen does not display anything (like when the computer is turned off), but when I connect the external monitor, then the desktop is displayed on this screen. I tried to recover the laptop using the recovery disk and it worked again, but today, it stopped working again.

Again, I must plug the external monitor, and after I tried to restart, I continue to pressing F8 but the startup mode is not come, the noise of when you press a button for too long beeps, however, the monitor of the laptop working again.

How can I solve this problem?

What do you do? You want to recover the laptop?
If Yes, you n press any F8 but you will need to boot from the recovery CD by pressing the C key immediately after starting the laptop.

But this question seems that you have accidentally switched to external display.
I recommend checking the Fn + F5 option. This combination allow you to switch between the display and the external monitor.

  • HP recovery media does not, need to do the second set of recovery on USB media.

    Hello

I have a new HP Envy laptop that I have created a set of recovery on six DVD media.  These work very well, but are a pain in the end to keep pending next DVD to load.

So I tried to make another recovery media and place it on a USB key.  Discovered, that it will not allow a second value created.

So I then ordered and paid for a recovery of HP media.  A beautiful labeled Microsoft USB key came. Great, I thought.

My laptop because of my fault I failed and wouldn't boot.  So I decided to use my new HP USB stick and after that go into the BIOS and disable the boot from USB stick and start secure etc as he said to it returned with an error that "this computer can not be recovered from this media!"

I then pluged in my DVD - ROM external and used drive recovery media that I did and it worked perfectly!

I tried the live chat with a technical person of HP and they checked the serial number and said I got what should work.  They could do a repair ticket and send the laptop.

It makes no sense to me as I have the unit upwards and running, but I wanted to know how I could get a USB work recovery media.

I ended up saying goodbye as they were of no help.

    My questions are:

    (1) why this media does not work?

    (2) is it possible to make a second set of recovery media?

    (3) is there a way to transfer my recovery media DVD 6 on a USB?

OLD POST > I first noticed the order said it was a pn 735088-002 and a sticker outside the wand that has the same number, BUT when he looks at a name on the flash drive is 735088-DB2... >

    UPDATE:

The new USB recovery media came today from HP.   He had again the same top part number that the original order has been 735008-002, BUT this time the corresponding came USB drive name to the tile. 735008-002 , I inserted this new media and it is fully charged.

  • HDMI does not display windows, but the BIOS displays

    Hello world

so I have a little funny problem.  We have a LAN party at my place where I created my office with the TV as a second monitor.  Graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD series 8600.  My main monitor is a Dell ST2420L monitor connected via HDMI.  Cable tv was a standard vga.  Setup worked very well until I took apart.  For some reason any Windows do not forget the television once I unplugged it so I fiddled with the settings... bad idea.

So now, Windows will happily connect to TV with VGA and HDMI and run very well (it also automatically changes whether the primary monitor for a reason if the two are connected), but my normal monitor will show all things BIOS until windows starts with HDMI and works very well with a VGA.  I know I could just switch to vga, but I really like my HDMI and I really want to know exactly how I messed up it if someone has an idea.

    Thanks for the help.

The resolution is probably set up as something that that does not support the monitor (if I had to guess, is that the resolution of the TV was great, but it could be anyway).  Connect it to your TV so you can see the screen, click the wallpaper and choose the resolution of the screen and turn the slider all the way down and apply it.  Then reconnect your monitor.

  • Laptop does not turn on but the power button is on ip

I just bought my HP Pavilion 360 less than a month ago and it's been used for research and schoolwork. No virus or threats have been detected. It was working fine today until I had to load it. When it was fully charged, I turned it on and the screen just frozen. I tried to shut down by pressing the power button, but it did not work. Now, to just black screen but the power button turned on (meaning it's on). What should I do?

    1. don't remove the battery from your laptop

    2. just to unplug the AC power from the laptop adapter

    3. press and hold the power button on your laptop for 1 minute

AFAIK, this should make the difference

  • Toshiba 32RV635D does not power off when the computer turns off

    Hello

I inherited a Toshiba 32RV635D. I have a PVR based on linux (Mythtv) connected to the TV via HDMI, connected on a Nvidia GT610.

With my previous TV, a Vistron LCD Panel at low prices, he would go to sleep when the put PC into hibernation and light up when the PC came back.
This required no configuration of me, he's done right. The Toshiba TV does not work.

With this Toshiba TV, when the POR turns off the TV turns off screen but is actually still on - power led remains lit in green.

Same thing with the other way around - if I put the TV in standby and powered the POR, the TV does not respond and I have to manually put out of Eve.

I updated the firmware and it has not changed anything, and I can't find anything related to power management in the menus of televisions. I even tried just pulling the HDMI cable to the back of the TV so it has no physical active entry, and yet, it does not fall to sleep.

The Amazon page for TV mentions the power management features, and I expected from what I understand, it should behave the way she.

I read a lot on HDMI-CEC, but to use it with my existing kit, I would need to buy an adapter USB - CEC, and which seems a little odd because my previous TV not cheap-as-chips just done this...

Also, the different uses in linux suggests considers its sounds the right - 'xset q' running when the computer is idle tells me that "the monitor is turned off" when in fact it is not.

Ricklous, it can be useful if you have a look at the url

If you want to download the manual of the English edition for your model, I have not read through, but it may be useful to you.

Either by the way, I have the model 32RL900A and find only a VCR plugged into the claims of taking SCART screen every time it turns on while the TV is set to a string of FTA (Free To Air) and then 'hands back' screen when he (PVR) goes out, and this, I discovered, is a characteristic of the system SCART.

I don't know if this information is useful to you, but hope it helps.

  • AirPlay does not connect without restarting the computer

    Hey guys,.

I work in a school and all teachers have a MacBook Air 2011 or newer running 10.10.5 or newer. Many also have Apple TV connected to projectors so that they can use AirPlay to reflect their computers to projectors. So here's the problem:

A couple of my professors can connect to their Apple TV and use without problems, but when they log off of Apple TV, the image of airtime in the bar of menus remains blue (which is normal when AirPlay is enabled). The problem is teachers are unable to reconnect to the Apple TV because the computer thinks it is still connected. Restart the computer to log in again!

The computer will display the Apple TV as a device which we can connect to, but it never connects once it has been disconnected. It is a problem because teachers often connect to view a video and then disconnect so that they can work on their computers. If they try to reconnect, they need to restart their MacBook Air.

ATV is up-to-date. Has been restarted and connected to another network and always has the same question. Not sure if this is ATV related or associated with MacBook Air. The two devices are connected to the same network that has no restrictions.

I think I've cracked it because I had the same problem and since there are 2 minutes I solved it.

    Open activity monitor

Click on the tab network and research AirPlayXPCHelper.

    This quick process and fact.

Not sure if you have to do each time it stops working, but it is much faster that restarting your computer.

    Hello

    1. What troubleshooting steps did you follow in order to solve the problem?
    2. You did changes to the computer before the show?

Try the methods provided below and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

    Clean boot

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

    Note:

How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start and then click Run.

    (b) type msconfig and then click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

    Method 2:

    Scan of the SFC

SFC system gives an administrator the ability to scan the files all protected to check their versions. If the System File Checker detects that a protected file has been replaced, it retrieves the correct version of the file in the folder cache (% Systemroot%\System32\Dllcache) or the Windows installation source files and then replaces the incorrect file.
