  • CD-ROM drive does not open

    Separated from this thread.

How can I open a disc in my drive, but does not open on my screen?

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the system manufacturer and the manufacturer of the device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (burn CD & DVD and CD and DVD read). Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

These are the keys in my opinion, are those in question - secondary-keys for the CD/DVD drive of course because there will be other subkeys in these keys. Be sure to ask specific keys involved as well as the parameters.

  • DVD Rom drive does not open when I try to eject a disc

HI.i can open rom.i push to eject dvd but dvd rom not the open.can help me.

    Hello

1 is this blink when you press the button to eject the CD/DVD drive?

    2. is there the CD/DVD in the CD/DVD drive?

3 did you changes to the computer before the show?

    4. don't be the CD/DVD drive not detected in the Explorer(My computer) Windows?

If the led does not illuminate, the reader is disconnected or broken. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the mounting of the CD/DVD drive system.

If the led does not blink, you can try the following:

    (a) open my computer

    (b) right click on the CD/DVD drive

    (c) click on Eject and check if the CD/DVD drive eject

  • CD-ROM drive does not open by cmd, trombone, "right click" eject and eject button

    Hello

Sounds like it could be a stuck in drive, there are problems of power or lead, or
    It just can be used.

If they don't help then check with the system manufacturer and/or drive
Manufacturer support, their documentation online and drivers and ask in their forums
(as appropriate) about the known issues.

This looks like a simple material defect
So what is the solution? I do think that a replacement device

I think that different readers are compatible with this laptop. So I can t give you and advice how much it costs but the best answer you'll get the Toshiba service partner in your country

But the slim laptop drives are usually a little more expensive than shared drives for desktop computers

  • Tempting desperately to open the Dimension E521 CD-Rom drive does not open. Anyone know the solution?

I tried all the solutions given by the computer itself nothing doesn't.  It seems that it will open up and then stops.  I have the green light as I usually do, but it flashes not stable.  I really need to use this player.  There is nothing in the drive to get stuck.  Is that someone out there has had this problem and how they solve this problem?

First of all, try to open Windows Explorer, click right on the optical drive icon and select eject.

Another option is to hold the eject button in (gently) in electric biking your system.  Take your finger on the button the moment where he begins to open.  In addition, you are allowed to try and hold the drawer open if she tries to close the bottle.  There are generally micro-switches that detect it and put an end to the attempt to close the plateau or the door.

You can also get the emergency eject hole somewere around the door (sometimes under a bezel).  It should work with the power on or off, but I do it with the power turned off.  (Paste a conductor in a piece of electronic equipment of power on seems a recipe for disaster to me.)  The hole is the diameter of a large paper clip (the favorite :) tool.  Succession the wire out and push to the right .  There should be some slight as resistance it UN-engages the latch and starts sliding drawer open.  At this point, you should be able to get out the drawer/tray by hand.

  • CD drive does not open on the hard drive of the computer.

Original title: on my hard drive DimensionE521 the CD-Rom drive does not open.  He starts to and then stops. The computer says it's OK? Help?

I had this problem and another time after playing with him for days, all of a sudden it just opened.  There is nothing in the drive - I'm sure of.  Everyone has to experience this problem.

    Hello Nannytosix,

If you look very close to the door of the CD player, you will probably see a small hole somewhere around him.

What you need to do is unfold a paper clip and push it in the hole and it should open the CD drive manually.

I encourage you to consult the manual to check this.

  • P50-A-144 satellite: the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive does not

CD-Audios and videos / DVDs do not work.

Could you tell me how to solve this problem?
    Thank you.

The solution was to uninstall the program "Toshiba Recovery Media Creator' and system settings/Programm features.
I still don't understand why, but the fact is that after uninstalling the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM start normal work.

  • Satellite L500-126-CD/DVD drive does not open very well unrolled

    Hello

I just got my second Satellite L500-126.
I traded my first for a new because the ESCAPE key got stuck sometimes and made a grinding sound.

Now, with my new one, I noticed that my dvd drive does not open very well unrolled and 2 bars of silver metal bit come out with the car when I open it.
    Is this normal?

Also, when I close the dvd player, I hear a little noise "ping!"
Like a spring, or something. Is that also normal?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 2 small bars of silver, but the reader of my laptop s contains two metals (runners, railway).
This is normal and these pieces are important to ensure that the drive can eject properly and could remain in a good position.
Still, you will hear a short click Open and close the drive.

    So I guess it's ok.

  • CD/DVD-Rom drive does not not on Equium A100

I installed a webcam, and it made my DVD - rom drive does not not with all drives. I uninstalled everything to do with the webcam and it still does not work. Can someone help me solve this problem without using the recovery disk of the product came with my laptop?

I had this problem before, but I didn't the first time, it's the webcam that has caused the problem. It s webcam trust wb - 1400T. I had to use the product recovery disc and he had a lot of hassle to install all my programs again and this time I'm in the middle of exams and can't get it all done in time for my exams, as I have vital work on here I have to do.

.. .Please help me... I think it is the driver, but I don't know how to fix it.

    Hi mate

    > I installed a webcam, and it made my DVD - rom drive does not not with all drives
To be honest I have never seen that the webcam may have a negative influence on the internal CD/DVD drive.
I see really no connection between the webcam and ODD... very strange
Do you get any error messages?

    Anyway, in my opinion, you should try these solution ideas;

    (1) remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop. After restarting again the operating system should recognize the STRANGE and should re-install the drivers.

    2) access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    .. then restart the laptop.

    (3) download and install the tool freeware "CCleaner". This tool repairs registry and solves several problems in System.

If this does not work, then the new installation of the OS would be wise to check if the problem could be related to a software problem.

    Best regards

  • My Cd drive does not open

Original title: BD - rom drive

My Cd drive does not open. I even sent it back to the factory to get the engine replaced and it used to always open. And if it opens, it read any disk. What should I do? Can I open the player through my laptop instead of hitting the button on the outside?

    Hello Jayde,

You can look for a tiny hole on the draw draw in which insert a paper clip to manually eject the CD player draw. Follow these steps and check if that helps.

Step 1: Open Windows Explorer, right-click on the drive icon and choose the option to eject it. If it is ejected from your CD-ROM drive tray, button on the hard drive is faulty and it is recommended to replace the disk.

Step 2: Also boot in the BIOS and check if you can eject the CD by pressing eject CD player if the problem persists then drive is defective.

    Warning of the BIOS:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Step 3: I suggest to start in safe mode and check if you are facing a similar question:

Hi, I have a problem with my Tecra A4.
My DVD CD - RW drive does not work properly (power is there, but it does not appear on the system), I have temporary installed a drive of DVD - RW from my HP laptop which works very well.
I tried to run my restore disk (never used), but nothing happens (press and hold C to start). This will only work with the good drive installed or I do something wrong?

p.s. I bought this second hand, but it's new. He had a damaged screen I have replaced

    Julian

If the old drive will not read media if it s damage.
You know that not every disc is compatible with the device because of the csel/slave/master settings.

You said that the button C doesn't allow you to boot from the disc.
In this case, I would recommend to get into the BIOS, and there you can change the boot order.
However, this trick is everything works only if the new drive is compatible and supported
