My experience around fonts is too white and glaring.so I can't see things correctly. Can I do less glaring.

  Hi all

  When I take pictures my eos 30 d is too powerful for automatic photos I take and whiteing on the subject

  I looked in my manual and can't see the answer

  If the device worked properly, then started to overexpose in mode auto, most likely, you have changed some settings...

  Go to the menu, select and use 'all clear camera settings. You can also go into the custom functions menu, select and click 'Reset all custom functions'.

  As a last resort, you could do a "reboot" of the camera. It's a bit like rebooting a computer to clear incorrect instructions that are stuck in the memory.

  To do a reset, first turn off the camera, then remove all of the batteries, including the money bit "battery memory" which is in a drawer inside the main compartment. Turn on the camera and press the shutter button once. It fires without batteries, of course. But this drains any residual power in the circuit.

  Turn the power off, reinstall the batteries and turn it back on. Check the date and time. If you got a restart appropriate, they should be set to zero.

  If you do not have a proper restart, you can use the same procedure, but instead of pressing the shutter button just leave the battery for about an hour. This should allow any residual power to drain it and cause a complete reset, too.

  It can erase some of the settings you have made inadvertently, causing problems. Or it can erase a statement stuck in memory, string just as restarting a computer clears its memory and help it work better. (After all, devices digital photo is essentially the laptops. )

  You might also consider relocation (upgrade, if necessary) the camera firmware. Sometimes, it can be damaged and giving problems. If you go to the website of Canon and research for 30 days, in the software category and downloads you will find the latest version of the software for the camera and instructions on how to install it. Follow the instructions carefully. It is not difficult, but it must be done according to the instructions, or there is a risk of "bricking" of the camera.

  Finally, it could be a bad communication between the camera and lens. Some flashes use data of distance from the lens to help the force of the power of the flash. Remove the lens and clean the contacts. Usually the best way to proceed is to wipe the contacts Golden at the rear of the lens with a clean cloth which is slightly moistened with a few drops of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing cheap alcohol is fine). Just pay attention to leave the lens optics and do not touch the mirror inside the front of the camera or the screen right above the mirror.

  Also, you can check the pins 'spring' corresponding to the contacts on the lens to work correctly. Gently press on each spindle and watch it springs in place. Sometimes, these can be sticky, causing problems of communication between the camera and the lens.

  Factory default of compensation and/or reboot the camera that you will lose a few other settings you did and you will need to go into the menu to manually redo all the parameters you use regularly.

  All these are things you can do yourself and which costs nothing to try. They may or may not help. If so, great. If not, you will need to have a repair technician look at the camera. Either find someone local who can work on it or send it to Service Dept. Canon

• After updating FF 8 fonts appear too small

  What happens on almost all websites. Of course I can increase the size of the characters with ctrl-+ but this also increases the size of the image on this page. Clearly, the fonts are too small.

  The difference can be particularly noticed with comboboxes text is about half the size that the rest of the text on the page.

  Is this a known problem or there at - it a new setting somewhere that I don't see? I use Win - XP Prof 32 bit is said by the way. Thanks in advance.

  For some reason, Firefox 8 seems to respect the minimum font size setting only if you have Zoom text only active. Press Alt to bring up the regular menu, and then view / Zoom / Zoom text only.

• HP vs15 went white and suddenly lost the loyalty of color

  My HP vs15 suddenly lost the color fidelity.  Now I'm stuck with bright white in places with no contrast and images not nice saturated colours.  I watched a movie and at the end, the monitor came to this disappointing State prior to this installation, things were perfect.

  Interestingly, when I push the "auto" button on the monitor things return to normal until the last stage of this process that makes whites too white and destroyed the fidelity of colors and contrasts,

  Mires and other look perfect when played on the screen even now.  Current usage, text and lines on a white background are weak or none existently readable.

  Is it possible to cancel this last step in the process of "auto" or to restore an excellent color fidelity my past?

  The solution was that the free parameters of the GeForce graphics card had been changed by some software.  Locate these commands in the software taking in charge the card affected and corrects the image on the monitor.  I had to adjust the contrast and brightness of the graphics card.  With that, the color fidelity and the readablity of elements in the white area had returned to the normal.

• When Vista (Home premium) end its commissioning, my switches in black and white color scheme. I can't go back to the color. I looked at the display settings and they say all in colour, however, I am always shows black and white.

  Color screen is permenantly black and white. cannot change color and all the display settings are in color. Monitor is always on the color, its just something that vista went to. At the start of vista, it's after start of switches in black and white and color. I can't see where it get back to normal.

  (1) do you have because of recent changes, after which the problem occurred?

  The first thing I would say is to update or rather uninstall and reinstall display drivers and who might have to deal with the issue.

  Also I suggest you try to use another monitor to see if it is not a problem with the monitor.

  Let us know if the problem persists after the driver updates.

  I need to select a few fonts for our customer to choose that can be legally incorporated in their software for distribution.

  I spent hours hunting for fonts, we can legally use and read many licensing agreements and still have no idea what fonts are available for developers!

  Have you tried to go to customize and change your theme?  Maybe redefine things will help the issue.  You can also try re - install (or looking for a newer version of) your graphics card driver.  You can normally find this by going to the manufacturer of your computer site, click Help, and then by entering your model number.

  A few guesses.  Weird problem!

  You don't mention what you have encountered errors? Workaround for the problem more frequently reached here is Re: error in Muse: object UID:U6875 has two (or more) owners: U3633 and U3165

  If you have a copy of your .muse file that has not been saved by using 2014.3, you can downgrade by uninstalling Muse, and then choose the previous Version in the drop-down list of filters in the Panel of Apps from the desktop creative cloud application. There will be a popup next to the Muse, where you can select a version prior to install.

  In order to quickly provide a solution, please answer these questions:

  1. is the issue limited while typing with Microsoft Office Word?

  2. What is the brand and model of the computer?

  3 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

  If you use a laptop, there is a possibility that your palm is touching the touchpad and cursor to jump. You can try to reduce the sensitivity of the Touchpad and see if the problem still occurs.

  a. click on the "Start" icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Select "Control Panel". Then, select "mouse" under 'hardware and sound'. You can also click on the touchpad while the cursor is anywhere on the desktop. In this screen, choose "mouse pointers."

  b. Select the tab 'buttons' at the top of the dialog box that opens. This shows the type of touchpad device installed on your laptop.

  f. make any changes that you want from the various subjects. When you make a change, click 'apply'. When you have completed all your changes, click 'OK'.

  g. don't some works on your computer for a while, if the touchpad is still too sensitive, return to the menu 'mouse' and continue to adjust the settings to what you get them just the way you want.

  If you use the desktop computer with the external mouse, you can change the settings of the mouse and check if it works.

  Martin Evening in CS6 for photographers recommend to adjust an image with exposure, contrast, and then fine tune with the shadows and highlights.   I know that I can see what works best for an image, etc.. Ask yourself what is the recommended procedure.

  It is wrong to think of controls PV2012 as being something like those of other publishers.

  No matter what start you with, try to keep clear 0 or negative, shadows 0 or positive and shadows value exactly equal to the value of highlights. Once you have the photo in the ballpark in this way, no matter how you juggled exhibition & white..., then and only then, consider asymmetric values of lights and shadows.

  WARNING: this "formula" works on 90% of the photos, not 100 percent. Or it could be 0% (or 100%) depending on what you're shooting...

  Okay, I can't resist:

  Most of the pictures can be edited in this way:

  * Most critical exposure setting

  * Use - highlights for container of the upper extremity

  * Use + shadows to normalize the lower end

  * The difference in taste.

  * - black & + white to make full use of the available tonal range.

  But at the other extreme, there are these:

  * Exhibition but still critical,

  * puts in light and shadows of the sliders do not hit the sweet spots: leave at zero.

  * Use - white & + blacks for recovery & fill, respectively.

  * You may very well push contrast, although it is an image too contrasted initially. Or not...

  And then there's a whole series of photos which sit somewhere between the two...

  Confusing? Yes. PV2012 is great, but delicate and requires a completely different way of thinking and a flexible 'procedure'...

  Note: Highlights slider going positive, and cursor shadows going negative also, independently of the highlights slider for a reason. But their use in this way should be reserved for unusual cases of raw or refine already cooked jpegs, or you really know what you are doing and why you...

  One last point is critical: exhibition in PV2012 sets mainly mid-level tones, that is why it is the most critical: highlights, contrast, shadows, all hinges on a suitable exposure setting.

  Black & White adjustment are probably the biggest keys for optimal fit in PV2012, but they are more difficult to nail down, because their adaptation depends strongly on the photo, but maybe a golden rule to be broken:

  * - black & white if possible, for punchy complete histogram photos +...

  * + Black & - White tones tend to gang to the extreme endpoints of the gases, such as highlights & shadows adjustment do not understand... (or you prefer the softer look that can come, or else...).

  WARNING: This is a personal thing, and probably different people different things that work best for them...

  PS - Don't forget the curve of tone & inhabitants after basic setting (can be done over too, but it is not recommended until you have acquired sufficient experience).
