  This weekend I decided to do a restore of the system on my Pavilion dv7 4080us (LW170UAR), as I have done several times previously, using the built-in HP and the recovery etc. partition manager.

  Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and everything worked OK with the new facility, with the exception of two things:

  • I don't see my AMD display driver listed on device listing Manager. Only 'Intel HD Graphics Family' is listed under graphics cards. I tried to download the drivers from the support page, but it doesn't help.
  • The fingerprint reader does not work. I tried to uninstall the drivers and software several times, rebooting and everything else I've seen that suggestions on these forums, with the files found on the support page of my laptop. No luck yet.

  I was connecting my HP Elitebook Folio 9470 m using the reader of fingerprints without problem since I got it, but this week I made a few updates to Windows 7 (more important only) and now the fingerprint reader is not an option when I start.

  The player is visible in material under biometrics Manager and I checked, this is the latest driver from HP (I uninstalled it and reinstalled it which didn't work). I find no biometrics, if I look for the Panel well.

  I activated the biometrics in Windows components (using gpedit.msc: Administrative Templates - windows components - biometrics)

  Some of the forum posts I've seen speak simplepass and hp protect programs - I don't know if they have something to do with it?

  Is there a way to reactivate or add it as an option for connection?

  I checked the bios has the fingerprint reader enabled (is) left the laptop for a day and then it started working again!

  Strange, but at least it works again.

  I recently bought a Samsung 500 GB SSD and I want to add this drive to my storage on my HP EliteBook Folio 9470 m. The laptop currently has 256 GB SSD stock on this subject and I would add 500 additional GB. I see that there is a link that I'm missing.   I Elitebook Folio 9470 m with 1360 x 768 (exhibit no. 702871-001) HD display and I want to replace screen with screen HD + 1600 x 900 (part No. 708771-001).

  So, I wonder if I replace the screens I will suffer problems with my current setup of the system and it is even possible to replace the screen if it has a different resolution that provided with the laptop first?

  Unfortunately, after installing the card WWan, bios keeps stop and blink CARD WWAN NOT supported.

• Folio 9470 m: Broadband Mobile (un2430) works only with Windows 10 on Folio 9470 m

  I had 10 Windows installed on my HP Folio 9470 m since October last year (Insider program).

  One thing I've never been able to get to work is the mobile device to broadband (un2430). It simply says "Radio off". All attempts to re - install the driver (which shows that 'work'), toggle the device etc. etc. just leads to the same result, that "Radio is off".

  I Googled it a couple of times and found that other users have the same problem. Also his colleagues of mine with the same model also has the same problem. It works very well under Windows 8.1.

  Does anyone have a work around?

  How can I know when / if HP released W10 pilots, including support for mobile broadband, for the HP Folio 9470 m?

  Not that HP has released some drivers for the Folio 9470 m and 10 Windows, I decided to do an installation from scratch and using these drivers. Unfortunately there is no driver for the un2430 and I still couldn't run.

  I thank this guy from the bottom of my heart, and if you have a Folio 9470 m, this is how make you the WWAN work in Windows 10:

  1. Uninstall HP un2430 Sierra Wireless Drivers in the Control Panel - programs and features. If you have an it.

  2. restart your machine.

  3. stop and try again.

  4. start install hp un2430 Sierra Wireless Driver sp63218 go 8460p Windows 8.1hp support and drivers. Approximately 77MB in size.

  5 restart.

  6. Finally, as additional installation, sp63221 approximately 115 MB. Sierra Wireless Driver. Hp support and drivers of a CURRENT laptop called OS Windows 8.1 turn G1 EliteBook.

  7. the cellular signal should appear in the taskbar.

  I have a new Folio 9470 m Win7 64 bit running.  I'm tying to a Docking Station UltraSlim

  The port ethernet on the Folio works very well and I am able to connect to the local network in the office without problem.

  However, when I connect the Ethernet cable to the docking station and then place the Folio on the docking station, I am * not * be able to get a connection.  The link on the docking station lights will not Flash again.

  The dock is connect to power and the lights are on.

  I also have an external monitor, mouse and a wireless headphone wireless connected to the docking station.  It all works perfectly.

  Any suggestions?  I'm completely unable to find a driver for the folio, which would be connected to a docking station.

• EliteBook Folio 9470 m - how to create USB recovery in Win7 preinstalled?

  Hi, this will be my first post here, so please be gentle

  I have a new and pretty HP Elitebook Folio 9470 m for the test - it came with the operating system Windows 7 preinstalled. I wanted to check some things, play with it and as a careful user I wanted to first create recovery media. I have a 65GB flash drive which I previously used as a recovery media for other laptops, and (as this model does not have a CD/DVD drive) I wanted to use this time as well.

  First I searched on the web to find out how to create a recovery what USB for this laptop but the HP Web site gave me the info to use Recovery Manager, which I have not installed on this laptop - when I search for "recovery", I get something like "create HP recovery CD. And when I try to use it I get an error about no writable media (even the flash drive is connected).

  I came across a tip to the laptop F11 before starting, but I do not get the Recovery Manager or the other.

  Should I download and install from somewhere or there at - it another way to create the recovery key for this laptop?

  Well, in our society, we have 5 HP EliteBook Folio 9470 m ultrabooks. It started with one of them,

  symptoms:

  -after adequate power, it starts in place but not all applications start properly. For example, the habit of gadgets Google desktop popup

  In the meantime, I went the other way. I completely uninstalled HP Protection tools (and related software) and I can confirm that at the moment the 3 Folios contain many again, and it works well.

• Folio 9470 m: questions of 9470 m 3 USB HP Folio

  My Folio 9470 m does not reconise my Toshiba PA5128 16 GB USB 3 drive into any USB port.

  I uninstalled all the USB controllers and windows was reinstalled without success.  Little blue light flashes for a few seconds when plugged in for the first time in anything.  Device Manager can see the device but said that no driver is installed.

  Have updated the USB 3 controller.  No luck.

  USB stick does not work on another pc

  Ideas?

  Before deciding that the folio of HP has a problem, connect a different usb 3.0 flash drive to one of its usb 3.0 ports.

  If you do not have another, surely one of your friends or your family makes. Fortunately, your Folio ultrabook is easily transportable.

  If it works, then the problem is with the flash player.  What is the make and capacity of the USB 3.0 original?

  So I got my new computer a Folio 9470 m and I relly like it

  But I reinstalled my OS and in the process, I have deleted the recovery partition and so on of the computer.

  My question now is if it is possible to get my software that was sent with the begnning PC?

  A product of Cyberlink PowerDVD is provided in the computer that I want to get my hands on.

  The reason is that I have an extrnal drive BD and no software to play movies.

  So, is it possible to get the software on your part?

  If you have deleted the recvery partition before making a recovery usb media you then shot yourself in the foot, in a manner of speaking.

  I suggest that you order a set of recovery disks. You may be able to order the usb recovery media. Click here to order from HP if you live in North America. If you reside in Europe, use this link.

  Once you have the recovery media, you can reinstall the software.
