My laptop has PCI express/pci slot?

Hello, I was wondering if there are any pci or slot on my hp pavilion dv6-3231n mxm slot, I would like to know because I really don't want to run a program and some play, but the graphics card intel HD is not strong enough to run it well.

Or if it is yet another way I can install a graphics card please let me know

-Thank you

No, sorry. The video is soldered to the motherboard and there is no crack or a place to put something different. You could theoretically get a motherboard of the dv6-3000 series that had nVidia graphics but the cost is not a good investment. Perhaps $400 or more with work. And the graphics are now dated and might not help to play the game you want to run.

I have a Pavilion dv6t 1200 laptop and I was wondering if there was a card expresscard or PCMCIA card slot. Hello

The unit has an express card slot, if the device is equipped with a dedicated graphics processor.

  • Re: Map Satellite M60-104 PCI Slot or Express Card Slot?

    Hello
I'm confused about what type of adapter should I buy for my expansion slot, on the button, it says that my laptop have card PCI II type: type: express card slot.

So far what I've read, it's the type of card PCI II differ from Express card. I just need to know what my machine supports, a card 54mm or 34 mm card, 16-bit or 32-bit, I don't know, I need to buy an adapter for esata interface to connect my NAS via esata to my laptop for more speed.

Can someone enlighten me on this point, please?

Did you look in the user manual?
There are details on the M60 Series.

But AFAIK the M60-104 unit supports the Cardbus 32-bit/PC-Card 16-Bit interface.
For example, you can use 1 x PCMCIA Type II only and 1 x ExpressCard.

  • If my motherboard has a PCI slot for a graphics card, can I add a slot to it?

I was exchanged under warranty a Compaq Presario with a card mother H-apricot-RS780L-Μatx (apricot).  It has integrated graphics card ATI Radeon HD 3000 and no PCI slot to upgrade.  I can add a slot it or am I stuck with it?

    Hello

Sorry to say, but you cannot add a PCI Express x 16 slot for the motherboard.

  • Aspire AT3-605-UR20 has available PCIe slot?

I looking to buy several Aspire AT3-605-UR20 as workstations, but plan to add spare parts video cards.

    Product page:

These machines have an available PCIe slot?  I guess that they do, but would like confirmation.

Looking at this link, clearly staes further down on the page it has a x 16 pci slot for a video card.

  • Which of the three pcie slots is Gen 2.0?

My elite 9300z used motherboard Μatx-RS880-H and the specs page says he has 3 expansion slots: PCI Express x 16;  PCI Express Gen 2.0; and PCI Express x 1 socket minicards. Two of these slots are already occupied.  How will I know if the available pcie slot is Gen 2.0?  I want to install a 4-port USB 3.0 pci card.

Here are the specs of your motherboard:

Looks like the SATA news are messed up. You have 3 x 1 and 1 x 16 slot. They are all 2.0 by the spec. I let someone know here as the page is messed up. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

  • x 8 connection distance MXI causes conflicts with my on my Dell Precision T3600 PCI slot

    Hi all

The easiest to say is that I am migrating from a x 4 MXI explicit connection to an x 8 MXI express connection and when I do I get an error on the motherboard which is unable to load the single PCI slot.

Error in WIn7 64 bit Device Manager reports a yellow exclamation point

    Device "Intel (r) 82801 PCI Bridge - 244 properties"

The error listed in the device status box: "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) »

Unfortunately, I need this slot machine to run a card calendar to conjucton with PXI hardware. There is no anomaly when I used the x 4 connections with virtually the same loadout except for one Exchange a PXI-5122 (x 4 config) to SMU 5122 (x 8 config).

If I leave the MXI PCIe card in but do not connect to chassis PCI slot SMU (and the fine card appear.)

If I remove the PCI card into the slot, the error still occurs.

I swapped the x 8 card and NVidia graphics card without success (the 16 x only two slots).

I photographed the reader and removed the H310 Dell PERC RAID card and charged the RAID array RAID integrated Intel C600 and still no change.

I have updated BIOS to A07 to latest A08.

I updated the Intel Chipset at the latest on the Dell Web site.

I guess that I just wonder at this point if someone is able to run a x 8 MXI express at SMU with a Dell Precision T3600, T5600 or a T7600 chassis.

NI MAX report is attached as a text file.

After much work by NI Applications Engineer Kyle K, this problem has been resolved.

I'll post the solution to this PC dependent problem here, just in case it will help others in a similar situation.

It seems that Dell sometimes uses one default BIOS quite restrictive on the number of PCI bus in these (and other). By allowing several PCI bus, you will be able to list all the devices in the sacrifice of some memory available for OS 32 bit running on 4 GB of RAM. No problem for me because I'm under 64 bit OS.

Congratulations to Kyle even if he has not posted here yet for him give real congratulations.

  • My PCIe-6259 will work in a different PCI slot?

I have a DAQ PCIe-6259 case in an old computer that experienced a motherboard failure.  I'm looking at building a new computer, but I wonder if I have to get a motherboard that has a dedicated x 1 PCIe slot, or if I can put my PCIe-6259 in a different PCI slot?  I would also welcome the recommendations of the computer/motherboard.

Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

It must be a home PCI Express (PCI, not), but it doesn't have to be a PCIe x 1 location; Peripheral PCIe work in PCIe connectors longer, they don't just use the additional lanes.

  • OptiPlex 390 DT, Palit NVidia Geforce 210 is not detected in the PCI slot (as shown in the BIOS)?

    Hello gentlemen!

I would like to know why the graphics card is not detected in my PC.

    The graphics card is 64-bit 1024Mo sDDR3

    And the CPU has

    Intel I3, 6 GB ram

    -Installed the gpu

    -Start windows built in graphics

-installation of the driver fails two albums and the latest drivers downloaded from Nvidia or Palit saying there are no devices detected installing

-checked the BIOS and I saw that pci slot where my g-card displayed an [empty]

-traveled around the bios by any disabling of options for my integrated in the card or anything... any

-checked around dell.com and saw that nvidia geforce 210 cards are compatible with my pc model exactly, even if this compatible graphics card has been a model of Evga, not a model from Palit.

-which is where I started scratching my head

Is there other details, that I need to provide?

    I appreciate the help.

The 210 was a terrible GT card when it comes to compatibility.  Brand can also make a difference. Given that the GT 210 is an old map of the series, I would say get a GT 610 rather like this one HERE and turning the GT 210.  The EVGA TG 610 is also mentioned as being compatible with the Optiplex 390 DT.  I assume that you bought a PCI Express X 16 video card and not a PCI card, correct?

  • HP pavilion media center a1610n pci slot?

Hello, I have a hp pavilion media center a1610n I bought 6 years ago and it still works great! However I just bought a new graphics card to update my computer a bit and the card company chart says my computer needs to have a location express pci 2.0
How can I tell if my computer is compatible with this graphics card and what type of pci slot I have? Help, please!

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Media Center a1610n desktop and its card mother A8M2N-(NodusM3). According to specifications, your system was introduced on August 4, 2006 and has a slot PCIe x 16 for a graphics card. Based on this information, I guess he has a PCIe v1.1 location. This should be compatible with most cards PCIe v2.0, but will have problems with PCIe v2.1 and latest maps. Another element to consider is the power to your computer. Many, if not more, HP computers of consumers of this era came with 250 watts power supplies and the vast majority of the PCIe x 16 graphics card requires a minimum assessment of 300 watt or greater system.

  • No satellite S2450 ADSL MODEM INSTALLATION PROB. NO FREE PCI SLOT

I have a Satellite S2450 - 101 with XP installed on it, the machine is currently in Spain and I am trying to install an ADSL USB modem. However when you are trying to install is always a problem in the installation program indicate that it not there no free PCI card slots available for the ADSL USB modem to use. I've tried a few things to get this software to install, but no joy, I have removed devices using Device Manager pci slots to see if this new modem would use their slots recently released, but this does not work, so I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem which can give the solution to this problem. installation is complete however when you try to use the modem to dial the adsl line it give an error of no available tone, it gives exactly the same respons if I unplug the modem, leaving me to believe that the system is not covering in any way with the modem during the dial-up procedure. As an aside to this XP did pick up and recognize this device and try to install it as a device ADSL-RE, but this is not the correctly the modem either... I tried using the supplied software and automatic installation XP. really need help on this one.

    Hello

I heard nothing about such a problem, but it seems that your modem software does not work properly or your modem drivers are damaged!

Downloaded a software update and modem drivers USB from the maufacturer homepage?

You should also check if your USB 2.0 is working properly and test it with an evaluation of the performance program!

  • Satellite Pro M10 - location of the mini-pci slot?

    Hello

I have a M10 Pro of the Satellite with a mini-PCI Intel Pro 2100. Now, I wanted to put in a new card, but I can't find the mini-pci slot? I opened all the way down, but there nothing. Where is it located and what is the best way to open the laptop? I guess a lot of screws must come out...

    Hello

Well, as far as I know the mini-PCI card is under the keyboard. In this case, you will need to remove the unit covers. But if you open Notepad, you will lose the warranty.
In my opinion, you should contact the ASP for help and detailed descriptions.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L10-204 does support mini PCI slot?

    Hello, all.
In a first time - sorry for my English ;-)
I would like to install a wireless card and I don't know if my computer (Toshiba Satellite L10-204) have a mini PCI slot? I prefer the mini PCI card PCMCIA card, because in my opinion, they are better in some aspects.
    DRM for me, cheers!

    Hmm? ¦ bad news man.
The wireless card is not available on this laptop and it cannot be upgraded too.
This means that WLan minPCI slot is not present.

You will need to switch to an external solution. Maybe an external USB WiFi key is an option for you. If this isn't the case, then you can use the PCMCIA WLan card!

  • Presario CQ5500F - PCI Slot

I searched extensively on the internet and the site of HP and can not find all the information about what type of PCI slot the Presario CQ5500F has.

I don't know the PCIE connectors are version 1 (250 MB/s per theoretical maximum throughput of course), but I was not able to find out what type of PCI slot has my computer. Is the crack:

    (1) 33 Mhz, 32-bit (theoretical 133 MB/s max speed)

    (2) 33 Mhz, 64-bit (theoretical throughput of 266 MB/s max)

    (3) 66 Mhz, 32-bit (theoretical throughput of 266 MB/s max)

    (4) 66 Mhz, 64-bit (theoretical max of 533 MB/s throughput)

I think that these are the only possibilities.

The answer to this key a decision I have to make what is an expansion card.

    Can anyone here clarify this?

    Thanks in advance.

You can consider changing the second PCIe card x 1 to one who possesses two SATA3 connector and a connector eSATA, such as the following maps by ASRock. Are you still using the ethernet port gigabit on the second card that you have installed? There are a number of different cards PCIe x 1 with different configurations that should have the combination you need.

  • PCI Ethernet card does no not after PCI slot

I have a card to PCI Ethernet D-Link DFE-520TX in one of the PCI slots and connected to a Linksys router.

I wanted to install a new sound card so I changed the Ethernet card to an adjacent PCI slot. (without uninstalling the Ethernet card)

After you install the sound card, I found that I am not able to connect to internet!

These are the observations I made:

The connection icon says "Limited or no connectivity."
When I click on icon of connection, status shows bytes sent/received something like that...
    Bytes sent: 4536 Receieved: 0
The IP seems to be assigned by AutoIP.

I tried to uninstall the Ethernet card drivers and install again for the new PCI slot but no luck

Finally, I gave up and restored the adapter Ethernet to its former PCI slot... and surprise, his does not work here too!

A I miss out on something?
Any help with this would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    His work...

In fact the IP, DNS etc. had been configured manually.

When I removed the LAN card, all fields has scored zero, I wasn't expecting that to happen!

    Thanks anyway!
