    Hi @OfTheFalls

I'd love to help you reconnect your 6700 printer and computer.

I suggest using the HP print and Scan doctor first of all, it can solve many printing and scanning errors, network or USB problems, driver problems and conflicts of port connection. Click here to download and run the print and Scan Doctor >www.hp.com/go/tools

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

  • Canon printer connects to the laptop

I am trying to print and I get an error message 'the printer is unresponsive. I went through the printer and it is connected to my network. I followed the advice of the site Web of Cannon and he eventually tell me that there is a firewall issue that will not allow my printer and my computer to connect. I've updated all the downloads for my printer. How to bypass the firewall to allow my computer and printer communicate?

    Hello

If this isn't a driver problem there is a problem of setting or material and you
need to contact Canon. More information about the settings of firewall in the last section
below if this can actually be a driver problem.

As Canon OEM is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their
drivers provided. Check with Canon support, online documentation, and
    drivers.

Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

  • Printer offline depending on laptop when connected wireless

Hi I have a wireless c309a printer connected to my laptop via a netgear router. My children, off the printer and now it is back on the laptop says that it is offline. I reported a test of the wireless network that says that everything is fine and it is connected. When I put the IP address in the web browser, it tells me that the printer is connected and everything works. So what's happening? Why not print?

Yes, if the IP address of the printer changes all the time your computer may have a difficult time finding.

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address). If you don't know it, enter the current IP address.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Let the gateway and DNS white. Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • Laptop computer connecting to the printer connected to the Airport Extreme

I will soon buy a MacBook Pro laptop and I'm interested in the way in which I connect to the printer connected to my iMac through my Airport Extreme.

Unfortunately, you don't specify how the printer is connected to the iMac, but let's guess that's via USB.

    On your iMac...

Open the preferences system (gear on the dock icon)

    Open the share

Enter a check mark in the box next to printer sharing

    Close the window

Now, do the same for the MacBook Pro

Then, open Preferences system again on the MacBook Pro

    Click on printers and Scanners

Click the + to add the printer to the MacBook Pro

I connected my his laptop to HP for my printer. It's a LexmarkX2480. My laptop arrives correctly at printing, but does not print.

Please confirm that you are using Windows 7.  What version and the service pack?

Has your laptop computer upgraded to Windows 7 or Win 7 the only version of Windows already installed?
If you upgrade from a previous version of Windows, the printer has been installed on this version? If so, did you uninstall and unplug the printer before moving to Win 7?

You have all other printers installed on this computer? If so, can you print to them?

    What does that mean?

    My laptop can correctly print

What happened when you first connected the printer to the computer?

You get the error message?  If Yes, what is the full text, without paraphrasing?

Is there a printer icon in devices and printers?  If so, right-click on it and select the Ports tab.  Without clicking in the list of ports (you can use the scroll bar or expand the columns by clicking on & drag in the header), which is the 'Port' and 'Description', which is checked and highlighted?  Click Cancel to exit the printer properties dialog box.
