Client Server Runtime Process (csrss.exe) problem?

If you are unable to remove the virus from normal mode, and the Microsoft Safety Scanner is unable to run, then get the computer in safe mode with networking and to launch the scanner.

I have an old system with Windows 98 on it. I get an "error loading program.exe. -You must reinstall Windows' message every time I try to sign. I don't have the original disc. How can I fix?

To answer your question, program.exe loading error means that the program is not installed on your system.
Andrew is correct, that the support for Windows 98 was arrested in 2006.

Since Windows 98, we have 4 new operating system commercialized by Microsoft. Most of the new computers would not yet go Windows 98 as there are no available drivers for the new hardware.

It would be better to upgrade.

Try the SFC scan on the computer.

SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.

Last update of Windows XP and SVCHOST. EXE problems?

Hello. My PC runs XP SP3 (HP Media Center) 3G of ram. It worked very well lately without any problem whatsoever. This morning I started as usual. I noticed the familiar Microsoft Update 'yellow shield' in the lower right of the task bar. I flew over the mouse over it and it read "download updates 0%. He never got above zero (or I couldn't open Update window). I pulled up the Manager tasks and SVCHOST. EXE has been hogging 99% of my CPU. I have everything closed and stopped and restarted. After the reboot (thinking it was a problem of Windows Update), I went on the Microsoft Windows Update site and clicked on 'Express' updates to try to update manually. He began cycling (search?) updates and soon SVCHOST. EXE, roared back to life and pegged the CPU at 99% of use (effectively maxing out the CPU at 100%). Page Update MS has never reached the point where it stated that I needed updates... He kept just cycling and research. Once the SVCHOST. EXE is happening (I tried this update 3 - 4 times today) it does not stop (if I close the window of Windows Update or not). I need to stop and restart. When I stopped, I see a prompt "end program" for RUNDLL. EXE that (when I try to 'end') translates into a prompt "unresponsive". I have to leave the program to close. As a precaution I've scanned with MSE, Malwarebytes, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware and all were clean. No problem with MS Security Center is. I never saw my computer behaves like this before. At the time of this post, it seems fine except when I try to update on the Microsoft Site. Is there a bug or a problem with the last update? Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you.

Cannot open files (desktop programs) *.exe

When I try to open .exe files I get a message error that says "this file doesn't have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options Control Panel. " I went to control panel > tools > folder options > file types and tried to put 'exe' to 'demand', but that doesn't seem to work. Funny enough, I am able to open other types of programs such as pictures, videos and files PDF and if I open a file html directly, I can open Firefox, but I can't open firefox.exe directly. Shortcuts to programs, EXE files does not open (you will be asked which program I want to use to open the file)

My system has developed a strange (and annoying) issue that no longer allows me to double click on the shortcuts of programs or EXE files. When I do, I give myself a menu asks me what program I want to use to open the file, as if I was trying to open a file with an extension that is not associated with.

The only way to get all the programs to run more is to right click on the shortcut and select "Run as Administrator".

Right click on the shortcut also reveals a new 'momentum' (Yes, spelled with one S tiny) option in the menu. I have not tried it works, in my view, it could be related to some false recently-removed security software that appeared out of nowhere last night.

Any help to remedy this situation and get back to normal functionality would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If program shortcuts are not no longer works, you will need to use a procedure special difficulty fo files .lnk (similar to the one used above with .exe files).

Go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and select the .lnk and run it. Follow the start-up procedure quick and everything worked well. I'm at the stage now where I had to put the CD, follow the configuration steps.

I deleted the old HP software (from my HP printer) previous first. Then I tried to install it and whenever I get an error after awhile, saying there is a problem with HP-DQEX5. EXE. He closes the Setup program.

I tried several times, but it does not work. Today, I deleted the first update HP (I think it was installed last night, when I was trying as well). Then started again, but without success.

I NOT connected the USB cable, as the manual says not to do so until the installation program tells me to do.

Could someone please try to help me?

Help needed please.

HP dx2250 microtower, running Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, recently attacked by Vista Antispyware 2010. Norton 360 V3 dealt with rather late the virus, but the fall of the remains.

I am unable to open any .exe file (program) on the desktop, start menu, or through the browser. I can access the programs in opening a data file, for example, double-click a .doc file opens MS Word, etc.

The error message "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the control panel to define the Associations. "

I tried an automated solution that is available via the forums (exefix_cu.reg) and also a manual suggestion to change the registry, also available through the forum.

I also splashed by and purchased Regcure, who seems to have done no difference despite who claims to have removed 1500 odd errors. So I'll be request the refund on that one.

I scanned the forums and found a large number of similar problems, but not one that is as complete as this.

I get an error message (I think) flashing and cascading to the bottom of my screen very fast. As it flashes, it does randomly weird things like farm programs, program freezes and it appears on the info/start bar and side by side jumps. The error message is in a rectangular box, the title is "windows/system32/cmd.exe" in the box says that access is denied. The system does not have the specified path.

At least, I think that he say he moving and flashing so quickly. I scanned with multiple programs like Spyware Doctor security, Avast and Dr. Registre nothing works.

Explorer.exe problem

Shortly after the start, a process called "explorer.exe" starts to consume 100% of my cpu. In order to run programs, I have to disable this process. The programs then run fine, except that now, when you have finished, I have to turn off my computer and restart. I ran Webroot anti-virus and anti-spyware, antivirus and antispyware, cccleaner Trendmicro and Registercure. None of them have found no problem. Vista Home on an Emachine.
