    I have a Satellite L755 systems running Windows 7 SP1 which is 11 months old and recently had to get back original which I did without any problems, but I have now discovered that my CD/DVD burner stopped burning. It can read, play music and video, but will not burn. I tried a few different programs to see if it worked, but still the same thing happens.

    The reader is going through the motions and runs for the duration then spits out the CD/DVD and there is nothing about it. When I re - insert, he asks what I want to do with a blank disc.

  • Pre7-system crashes when you try to save/burn dvd - help

    Current running Vista64, 8 GB ram, processor image, 727 GB of free memory.  Have created a video that has a scenario about an hour of video clips and photos.  Whenever I try to record on hard drive or burn them to dvd causes system crash with blue screen of death and memory dump.  What can I do to save this video?  Don't want to lose after all the time that I invested in that they are of the 2nd year of baby.

    Your original data and the stills will be intact as PRE never alters original files, if you need not worry here. I assume you mean that you have 727 GB free space (rather than memory). What happens if you choose "Burn to the folder" rather than a disk?

    Work through these basics:

    • Install all Windows updates.

    • Install the latest version of Apple QuickTime (v7.6.9 at time of writing). Even if you don't use QuickTime, PRE relies heavily on it.

    • Most recent graphical installation and audio drivers on the web sites of manufacturers.
    • Run Disk Cleanup.
    • Run the defragmentation tool.
    • Temporarily disable any real-time antivirus scanning.
    • Use GSpot Codec Information Utility to parse the file and display the image on the screen.

  • Burn dvd W7pro stops at 98%

    Windows 7 Pro dvd burn stops at 98%.  Someone at - it a cure?

    Hello

    Well insulate your case, we need the following information:

    1. Are there error messages invited?
    2. Have you tried using a different drive?
    3. Is there any third party burning of CD/DVD software installed on your computer? If there is, we need to uninstalling it, since it can stop the burning process. Then, try to burn the CD this time and check if it works.

    In addition, what you can do is reduce the burn speed and check if it is able to carry out, as it can be useful. Here's how:

    1. Go to the Start menu and select Windows Media Player.
    2. Press the Alt key.
    3. Click on Tools and select Options.
    4. Go to the tab burn . Under Burn speed, select medium. Then try to burn the CD and see if it ends.

    Keep us informed. Thank you.

  • Rundll 32 has stopped working

    Stopped DVD/CD burner that is recognized by the operating system.  Tried many solutions recommended without any positive result, although twice after a night at the stop "DVD/CD burner" showed in "Device Manager".  When you try to run a computer started but locked DVD system requiring a total disconnection of power supply unit to restart.

    To cause to seek randomly, I opened AXIS Media Control in the Panel and told me that the Rundll32 has stopped working.  Attempted, requested by the repair window resulted in the message "data execution Preventer deactivated program to protect your computer.

    Although the situation may call for the purchase of an external, let's not jump to conclusions, yet.  I looked back to see what book you will find no mention of the model.  So, please indicate the full model number and operating system.  Then, please explain what happened to give "DVD/CD burner stopped recognized by the operating system."  If the DVD player went MIA, it may be something else that the drive has failed.  Read this thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-CD-DVD/DVD-drive-stopped-working/m-p/593901#M2870

  • Toshiba laptop start registry error after manual stop

    original title: Toshiba laptop start registry error after manual stop - HELP!

    Hello, I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista.  Yesterday it froze completely upward and I had to manually close (hold the power button until stop you him) twice.  The second time when I tried to restart the came Toshiba screen, then the screen with the little scroll down bar, and then it went black, waited for a while, then flashes a bluescreen with a written up VERY quickly and cycles back to the Toshiba screen.  This time after the scroll bar it gives me white saying the writing system could not restart, and I want to start normally or startup repair. If I restart it through loading files, trying to fix it and said then he wasn't able to fix it and when I look at the details there something on a registry error.

    I really need to solve this problem quickly and desperately want to save all my files if possible because it's our main Mobile family that has all our digital photos on it and they are not saved. (I know, terrible of us).  Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Charity

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
  • Satellite Pro A10 CD Burning: after having burned the CD is empty
    Hello
    I have a Satellite Pro A10 and my CD burner stopped burning. Someone at - it? I also had a problem earlier where he would burn only 1 disc immediately after startup. It says it burns and goes through all the motions, but in the end the drive has nothing about it. I use Maxell discs and have had no problem before using these. If the CD burner is broken it is possible to get a replacement and they are also easy to assemble.
    Thank you
    Hello
    It is really possible that the drive is defective. Before Exchange you it the only thing, you can try is to check if there is some success if you use different empty media (producers) and burn it using a few different burning applications. I recommend you to use NERO software of engraving.
    Also be sure that the engraving option is enabled and not only option called simulation.
    Replacement should not be problematic. If I remember correctly from the drive is fixed with a screw and you can find it in the bottom corner near the drive itself.
