  • Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse with my Satellite A60-122 issue

    Hi there;
I'm a new user in this forum and this is my situation:

I bought a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer with a USB Bluetooth adapter. When I plug the Bluetooth adapter to one of my four USB ports, bluetooth connection seems fine. However, I can't work with my new mouse. I have try all this on a Mac computer and mouse everything goes perfectly. I have not yet installed the driver! I don't know what is happening. I had installed the driver several times and it seems OK. DC when I search the mouse over the icon of bluetooth device, I see him there. However, the mouse does not work and when I open again the icon of bluetooth device, I can't see the connection bluetooth mouse more.

My question was already posted by Sorin11 (08.12.05), and I would like to know if today, hopefully there is a solution to this problem of bluetooth.

    Thank you
    Antonio

    Hello

Well, the Satellite A60-122 has no Bluetooth. In this case, you will need to use the 3rd Bluetooth driver and the device.
In addition, the Mac has a completely different operating system and you can not compare the two devices.
Unfortunately, I can't give you a correct answer, why this problem occurs. You should check if you are using the correct drivers. You should especially drivers for Windows OS.
In my opinion, you should ask the manufacturers of the ItelliMouse for the support.

  • Canoe install audio driver on my old Satellite A60

    Hi all

I have an old laptop Satellite A60, and he had a problem so I formatted and reinstall windows, but I didn't have the original CD of windows came with this laptop so I used another CD that was provided by toshiba (I have another mobile satellite (I don't remember the exact model)). Everything worked fine, most of the toshiba utilities was already installed, but the graphics and audio cards drivers, missing (normal). I went to the toshiba website and download the audio drivers, installed, and when I clicked to restart the computer, after 2-3 seconds, I get a blue screen of death with the error STOP: 0x000008E and a TVS.sys file

So I opened the computer and the driver was still missing. A few times, the driver is there and windows will not open and I have to go into safe mode and uninstall the driver. It's really annoying. I have tried other older versions of realtek AC97 drivers but does not work either. I tried like versions of the original that I downloaded from the official website of toshiba and 3 drivers, nothing works... The graphics card has functioned well tho... but having no sound is annoying...

Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Different models of laptops have different hardware platforms and each recovery image is created for some portable model. Maybe this other model has different chipset, GPU, WLAN card, sound card, and so on.
So I m really not ask you got BSOD at the beginning. There must be a conflict (registry entries) driver.

What you can try is to install again and remove almost all the drivers installed and try to install the right drivers for the Toshiba download page in the hope that everything will be OK.
I m not 100% sure, but tvs.sys probably owned audio filter.

  • Equium or Satellite A60

I just got a new laptop. He says that it is an Equium A60 but when I have regestered with Toshiba is said that it is a Satellite A60. Is there a difference? I also bought a wireless adapter mini pci to adapt as it is not ready wireless but when I opened the lid of the wireless card is not a slot at the back of the MOBO and 2 screws. All advice welcome

    Hi John

As far as I know the series Equium made just for the United Kingdom. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the same model but cell phones in the United Kingdom have a different name.

One of my friends told me that some store in the United Kingdom (Dixons or something like that) offers models of computers portable satellite. It is also possible that Toshiba is registered under the name of Satellite. But don't you worry. Your serial number is important and if the service partner needs to check something they need for a serial number and not the name of the model.

Good luck with your new toy!

  • Can not turn on the Satellite A60

    Hello
I got the Satellite A60 for a long time. The battery is almost dead so I decided to use the AC power adapter to power the computer. When I try to turn it on it Star and stops in a few seconds. He looks dead, even if dc indicator is green and the battery light is orange. I tried to make it work without the battery, but it does the same thing. Sometimes with a lot of patience it lights, but I really don't know what I did different.
Can someone please tell me what is this problem and how to solve?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

I think that the battery LED appears orange because the AC adapter is plugged in and the battery charges.
So, I can't give you a good answer why the laptop cannot start correctly, but one thing is very interesting.
No passes for laptop, the start screen of Toshiba which appears at the beginning?

If it is so perhaps there is a hardware failure and the laptop must be verified by ordinary service partner or a technician with experience more as a user like you and me.

But if the laptop can correctly pass the Toshiba start screen so in my view the files on the HARD drive are corrupt or the HARD disk contains bad sectors.

In this case, the only way to solve such a problem is the new reinstallation of the operating system.
I think you should try to boot from the recovery CD Toshiba.

  • Satellite A60 summary failure and press a key to continue

I have a problem with my satellite A60.
I had the computer for about a year and a half and have never had any serious problems with it of any kind. However, last week the keyboard started to fail, first with only a few keys, then the full keyboard.

It never bothered me much because I'm quite familiar with the Toshiba computers. So I connected an external keyboard, and I was back in business.

I used it very well so far but I put the computer into hibernation last night and when I woke up this morning he said "resume failure and press a key to continue."
I have keys and nothing happens, it just stay on this screen. I try to access BIOS by pressing ESC when I turn on the computer and the priority is set at STARTUP DO not RESUME, hover, it won't let me highlight to change anyway. The computer won't let me boot from the cd. Basically, it's just stuck on the screen and that's all.

I wonder if there is another way to get around this or is my computer ended for good. I was running fedora linux at the time of the accident.

Seems difficult but not insoluble it s...
It resembles a hardware problem, but I won't for sure.

This keyboardthing can be a defective keyboardcontroller, because your description of the error is describing a similar case that I got with my camera.
I send the machine to my local servicepartner and they exchanged my motherboard and keyboard and after repair of the error, I had never bothered me again.

Just a quick question: some fluids come from on your keyboard?

    Have a nice weekend

    Welcome them

  • Disk replacement HARD & BIOS question - Satellite A60

    Hi guys

I have a Satellite A60-672 and his original 40 GB drive is dead. I got a Seagate 80 GB HDD as a replacement, but after it is inserted, it does not show in the BIOS. I did some searching on Google but not really came up with a large part. Is it possible that the BIOS does not recognize the new drive due to the larger size?

I looked in the BIOS upgrade (currently version 1.50) and found an update to 1.90. After reading the upgrade of BIOS FAQ (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/faq.jsp?z=234&service=EU&from=faq_selection&CFID=B IOS & FID = TRO0000000b07) I have saw apparently need a floppy drive that laptop did not. Can I use a CD - R in the place or what I need to get a USB floppy drive now?

    Thanks for any help.

    > Is it possible that the BIOS does not recognize the new HARD drive because of the larger drive?

Yes, it is quite possible and especially a reason why the large capacity HARD disk cannot be used.

It seems that the update of the BIOS on the Satellite A60 can be done only with the USB FDD.
But why you want to update the BIOS?
I don t think that the update will change something
It seems that the 80 GB are not possible.

  • Satellite A60-174: system32\drivers\isapnp.sys error

    Hello
After several nights and using Recovery CD e try my Satellite A60 will not work. Even though I cleaned it and cables everything is new.
    I got this error: system32\drivers\isapnp.sys

I installed the HDD in another laptop and works very well. If I bring the disk for Satellite A60 I still get this error.

OR Toshi stays to the debugger DLL when I try to install another version of win XP Pro.

I think that the RAM or something in the motherboard is broken. Can I change the RAM from the motherboard?
It would help if I add little ram additional RAM slot?
(I use only the RAM stock because it is on the motherboard.
any idea what may be this system32\drivers\isapnp.sys.

It is said to start the laptop with Win XP cd original and try with a R.
Well, this back do NOT work in this laptop.
I can't come to the screen of Windows XP. The laptop will break the instalation before that!

    Konstantin

    Hello

See this Microsoft Knowledge base article:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=315311

I also read that if the new facility does not resolve the isapnp.sys question then maybe it is a failure of module memory.
Try to remove the module and test it with another.

  • Power supply plug problems - Satellite A60

Ive got a satellite A60-155 and its just out of warranty, but isn't there always the way I pulled the plug on the back of my laptop and the center of the pin of the plug on the laptop came out with it.
for something that should be quiet robust is not, how many people have had this problem?

I would be interested to know before I phone services to customers in the coming days as its only 12 months and 26 days and Yes have had warranty extended, but these things should not break up

    Hi Kenny,

I have also experienced the center pin breaking on the my SA30 power outlet. As you rightly say, they are not particularly robust and can easily be damaged by something to catch the cable when it is plugged.

The bad news is that the normal remedy is to replace the card mother:(sauf si vous pouvez trouver un réparateur prêt à souder sur une nouvelle prise de courant.)

    Oops!

  • Satellite A60: Switch wireless on the side is taken on

Hi I have a laptop Satellite A60, I want to turn on my wireless LAN but the switch on the side is covered on as it is just for show. I to believe I can turn it on, the symbol to the fron and the on / off on the side, but as I said is covered more and not a switch like showld be. Theis means I can't get a wireless connection or is it a fault in Notepad? Help, please.
    Thank you very much

I don't have an answer, I just want to share your frustration. Recently I got a wireless home hub, but I can't go to this topic with my A60.
I also have the light at the front and the switch sheets on the right and a manual that talks about wireless LANs in bright tones.
I was led to believe it was active wireless, but it isn't!
Sometimes even with a graphic 'research Wireless' but it is useless if it doesn't have what it takes to work [when it is in. the wireless Hub].

  • satellite a60-205: CD is stuck

    Hello
Perhaps a rather embarrassing problem, but nevertheless...
My CD is stuck in my DVD Super Multi-station (toshiba satellite a60-205 (p4-3200)). It does not recognize and will not eject. I tried to restart, I tried the paperclip thing (but I'm not sure that this multi-user has a small hole to do this, because the "small hole" is here big enough).

Can someone help me? It is rather important, given that I need the CD in a presentation in a few days...
    Thank you!!

    Hi Marie-Lise,
Got this from another forum that I use and it might be interesting to try.

First of all, if you are running anything from the DVD/CD-RW you normally would not be able to open the drive until the end of the access to the disc, this would apply even to Windows Explorer or workstation when the content of the "D:" drive. Try selecting the "C:" drive and then click on the "D:" drive and select eject listed options.

Then, if the software fails to open the tray of the reader, is the button 'open' on the face of the player work?

If you really need to get the drawer open most of DVD and CD players have a manual release function that works even when the computer is turned off. All that is required is a paperclip, just insert into the small hole on the front of the CD tray and gently push.

  • Satellite A60-155 - powers on and then stops

    Hey guys,.

I hope someone can help me with a problem with my old Toshiba Satellite A60 - 155.

Recently, I sold my laptop on EBay, which worked perfectly at the time. When the buyer received the laptop, they found that is more things would turn out.
Now that I got the laptop and actually like it buyer said that he will not start.

When you press the power button the laptop seems to power on all the fans seem to turn, but the screen remains blank and after a few seconds it will turn off. I tried to remove the hard drive, battery and memory, and it didn't seem to help.

I noticed that the power button is not lit blue as it should, in my opinion.
I wonder if it has been damaged during transport, as it worked perfectly when I modified it used?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

This problem can refer to different material defects
First the RAM may be damage
One of my friends had a faulty RAM module and the laptop could light up or the air conditioner stops immediately after pressing the power button.
The new RAM modules to solve this

In your case the CPU or the motherboard might be affected too
As you can see, it of not possible to say what part failures! You may need to visit a few technicians who could test the appliance and parts

  • Satellite A60 DVD Player problems

    Hello
I have a Satellite A60 (18mths old now) - when I 1st got it the DVD burner was DOA - so I sent off the coast and he had replaced.
It has worked well since then until recently when the DVD player just wouldn't recognize anything - CD or DVD

Tried everything with this unit - but at the end of the day understood the drive was gone.

Another bought a (SD-R6252) and lo-and-this is the same thing happens.

Each diagnosis that I run says the drive is OK - but there is no disk in it.
I reinstalled windows from the recovery factory - discs
    Update the BIOS
Tried to update the firmware of the drive-, but the update said that this was not necessary.

Tried with Nero, Windows, InterVideo - nothing.

As it is now a working machine that I can't afford 3 months back in time to send it off and watched it (that's how long it took the last time) and my nearest dealer of Toshiba is in place at the other end of the country.

Suggestions for things that I can try out would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

The new drive can read CDs but can not burn anything. Am I wrong?
Or the drive cannot recognize the media that in the Windows operating system?
You said that you have reinstalled the widows. In this case, you used the drive.

Try to remove the drive from Device Manager. Restart the unit. Now check if you can use CDs and DVDs

  • Satellite A60: Stop message blue screen

First of all Hello to all,

I ve just joined and hope that someone can help. I have a Satellite A60 which began to close and coming up with this message on a blue screen...

A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. The problem seems to be caused by the following file: Ati2vag. The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates problem with the driver itself or incorrect programming hardware device driver.
Please check with your hardware device vendor updates the driver. Technical information: dump Stop: 0x000000ea (0xff332da8, 0xffbb59bo, 0xfaf9fcbc, 0x00000001) Ati2vag beginning of physical dump. END

had this laptop for 10 months and it started recently and stops now 2 or 3 times a night, thank you in advance for any help.

I have the same opinion. Try to start the unit in safe mode and remove the display driver. Restart the device and install driver designed by Toshiba. If there is no success please write again.

  • Satellite A60-742 how a recovery facility

    Hello
I am about to sell my old laptop with Windows XP installed and ensured that all personal files and passwords are removed before as I do.

I think that the best solution is to reinstall XP completely, but I don't remember if she got with a recovery cd or if she has a hidden partition.
So I wonder what I'm doing to make a full recovery from the XP that came with the laptop without CD?

    Thank you

Satellite A60 came with a recovery CD, and this image is not stored anywhere on the laptop or the hidden partition.
So the only way to reinstall Windows with all the drivers and tools for Toshiba is to use the recovery CD.
You can order such a CD on Toshiba:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

You can also do is to install Windows XP with a Microsoft installation disc, but then you must download and install all the drivers. It takes much more time.

Only portable computers that are shipped with Windows Vista can be recovered with the HARD drive because there are also stored image above.
