  I was running Windows vista professional for more than 2 years yesterday, I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled vista prof. (entirely new, different CD key). Everything works very well excenp for one thing - I had saved some of the programs and files on my external hardrive before formatting my laptop. Now, when I try to access these files I get the following msg-"cannot find the specified device, path, or file." You don't have permission to access them. ".

  It looks like permissions.

  Try this on one of the files on the disk to see if it allows you to copy the files.

  1 right click on the file, then select Properties
  2. click on the Security tab
  3. click on change, in the name box, type "Everyone".
  4. in the boxes next to the permissions below, put 'Total control' for everyone
  5. click OK, and then close the dialog boxes
  6. try to copy the file that you just modified.

  If the works above, you must change the permissions on all the files you want to copy.  Normally, you can just highlight all the and follow the steps above to change the permissions on all files at the same time.

  I have the Satellite L300D (PSLC8C-06T01R) I just got this in the month; I decide to put Windows 7 on thinking there would be all the necessary drivers. Well I was wrong; Once I installed 7 we find all drives but the wireless card.   As I see you have Canadian cell phone model and I don't know what WLAN card is inside, but in your a story thing confused me. You have installed Vista again. I assume you have done this with original Toshiba recovery image. This recovery image is designed for certain model of laptop and contains all the necessary drivers for all hardware components. I don't understand what the problem with the wireless network card.

  Hi everyone, I recently had to do a clean install of Vista Ultimate (32 bit) on my Toshiba Satellite L300 PSLB8A0VK004

  Unfortunately I could find the drivers for the integrated Webcam. I installed several different versions of the Camera Assistant Software without success with everything that ends with the window, that drivers have failed. Please restart your PC or something similar. After several boots the same problem appears. Device Manager only tells me that all drivers are missing - however I don't seem to see anything on a webcam?

  Everyone knows the same thing? I don't think that Webcam drivers would change within each variant L300?

  Then enter your model number (PSLB8A-0VK004) and all the drivers will be listed for this model. There is only one pilot of the webcam that you can download for Vista 32 bit: Chicony Camera Software and this is the correct driver.

I tried to install the Audio drivers high definition on the RealTek site and was unsuccessful because windows has taught me that the driver is not the right one for the type of windows. Even when using the compatibility feature, does the same thing that I tried to use the Sigmatel drivers from the site of the bridge. These drivers ended up with the same problem. I checked Device Manager and it indicates that the audio device works. Who should ask me why do I hear audio from the headphone jack, but not the laptop speakers.
