Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

See you soon.

    1. don't you make changes before the show?

Try the following steps to start a process of the Windows Explorer and check the result.
    a. start your computer and boot to the desktop.
    b. press CTRL + ALT + DELETE, and then click Manager tasks.
    c. click on the file menu, click New task (run...).

  • Missing menu on HP 4600dn IO

    Nice day

I use Windows 7 with a 7300NX Billion Bipac router which is connected to the HP 4600dn.  I can't ping the printer and the reason is that one of my items in the printer menu has disappeared.  You should have three menu under i/o options:

    IO timeout

    Parallel entry

    EIO X

Last X EIO is missing and I can't get an IP address.

Previously I connect via a switch, but then the power switch has become defective so I connect directly to the printer, not knowing that I then have to use a crossover cable.  When you try to connect the billion router I don't have an IP address.

Downloaded the HP Print and Scan doctor but still can't find the printer.

Any help will be much appreciated

    Best regards

    André

First thing you need to do is run a configuration page in the information on the printer menu. Do you get a second page with network information. If this is not the case, the printer network card went bad. If this is the case, you can sometimes repair it as more came with the 610N or 615N. To repair and it's no joke, you must remove the card with the power turned off and then remove the piece of plastic you'll need a driver torx10. Once the plastic piece is delete, prop the card upward in a baking pan with the chips to the top and the bottom of the map not touch the pan. Preheat a good oven at 350F (177C) and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the card in the oven for 8 minutes. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes. Again set back with power off space in housing EIO printer, connect the cable and lights up and you should now get the second page. If you get a second page then there may be a separate menu for the eio card item. Even if you do not find the menu that you can do is a cold reset the printer connected with a rj45 cable regular to the router. Turn on the printer while pressing the box until all 3 lights on solid. If they're not continuous, then turn on the printer and when the memory starts counting press and hold button until light green check mark all 3 are ongoing. Liberation and scroll down the menu to cold reset and press the check button. When the printer is ready, wait 2 minutes and then print the configuration again information page. The second page should now have an ip address that you can use or you can type this address into your web browser and make changes to what you want. Keep in mind in both cases, you should have a green link light on where the rj 45 cable connects to the card. If no link light, then you may have a problem with the cable or worse taking on the NIC itself may be faulty. Just for your information the Cook works because many of these developed cards cold solder on the central processor and cooking redéroule the weld to run again.

  • In win 7, missing menu firefox, toolbars; Unable to access the reset

Using Win 7 64 bit. All of a sudden everything disappeared from firefox except the URL line. When I ran a checkdisk, there was corruption in a bunch of files. May have caused the problem. Went to try the mozilla support reset suggestion. Can't do it because I have no Firefox icon in the upper left to click and so cannot enter in Help menu or anything, except what I can access it through the line of the URL. Cannot find any other advice on what to do. Is Firefox uninstalling and restarting the only answer? Do I lose bookmarks, add ons, etc.? Thank you.

Hello jgdolan, please try to close all firefox windows and then by holding down the SHIFT key while you start again - this will bring up the mode without failure of firefox with the ability to reset the browser.

  • SA40-702. Does not start, missing file...

    Hello
I have a series SA40-702 Satellite. I had the laptop for about 18 months and until recently had no problems with it.
While on the Internet one day, the laptop has decided to lock up & then close on me, I'm sure that, it displays a message on the execution of a physical memory dump, anyway it closes I started in safemode, performed an analysis of drive & off frag & all appeared to be well again for about a week. He then decided to do it again, but this time he wont even go into safe mode. It displays a message - Impossible start because the following file is missing or corrupt " \Windows\System\vgaoem.fon ."
I really don't want to have to do a full recovery on this because I have a lot of important information about the hard drive I need.

Can someone tell me if its possible to load this file back to laptop...?

Thanks in advance, & apologies if it's a bit lengthy...

What Miss do you? For many items, ranging in the preferences system for the specific item and check XXX view in the menu bar should solve the problem. For example if you go to System Preferences/Time Machine, the option is at the bottom of the window.

  • Don't want Phoenix I7: Start 10 menu appears not

I recently tried to install Corel X 3 using XP compatibility mode, but it did not work and damaged my menu of the Start button. Everything seems to be OK, but clicking on the Windows icon results in a brief "Hourglass" and no activity. I tried a system restore, but it tells me it couldn't find a file (AV was off), so I can only assume that X 3 deleted something. I tried some of the suggestions catering menu to start with powershell etc but none have brought.

I don't want to re - load Windows, if I can avoid it, but it seems to be running out of options. Any suggestions please?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on your Win10 Start Menu problem and wanted to help.

What COULD something work is known as a repair installation.  It is less destructive of all functions of Windows recovery and rewrites the files from Windows system, including drivers, leaving your apps, settings and data intact.

To do this, you will need to use the link to the installation media to download Win10 and burn a DVD or create a USB key: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10

Once you have, follow the instructions in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Satellite Pro A60 does not start: missing or damaged config.sys

    Hello

I turned off my computer Friday, I went back to his Monday - and it won't start. I thought that the config.sys file is missing or damaged.

I tried all the usual methods - safe mode, last known good setting, OS etc, but none of it works. The computer does not recognize that the recovery CD is in the drive, either.

As I don't have an original installation CD - the computer was shipped with the software already installed - I can't try either.

I want especially to recover the entire system, but if I have to, I can live with that. Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Thank you very much.

Have you tried to boot your PC and press C after POST message? Recovery CD to be inserted.
This C command forces the laptop to boot from ODD first.

    Maybe it works for you.

  • Start LabView menu

I have a teststand sequence that uses run asynchronous VI to display output to the camera while the sequence is running. When the sequence runs the first DUT the Menu start of LabView (see attached Image) rises and covers the entry window of the UUT. Once the Start Menu of LabView is reduced to a minimum, everything goes well until the test sequence is stationary then turns the Start Menu of LabView. Y at - it anyway to keep the Start Menu of LabView always minimized or even better make sure it never comes upward during the execution of the sequence. I spent hours trying to reconfigure LabView and TestStand with no luck. It comes to cunfusing for operators to use

    Hey Jimbo,.

Could check you your LabVIEW adapter settings (configure > adapters > double-click LabVIEW)? This screen should appear only if you use the LabVIEW development system, and generally for the operator-run test you want to use the runtime engine instead. This could help with the issue.

Another thing you could try is to set up the camera output window so that it is modal to TestStand. You can find an example of this integrated to TestStand; Basically, there are 'Start a modal dialogue' and 'end of modal dialog"live in the palette of TestStand in LabVIEW. These screws allow you to configure a VI to appear in modal form to TestStand.

I'm leaning towards the parameters of the card being in the likely case, but let me know how to make these steps!
