  This question has been taken before, but I think I may have a unique situation.

  My R51 worked perfectly and was maintained during the 8 years that he was with me. I wanted to update my RAM and downloaded the update to the BIOS and chipset drivers updates.

  After that the tension I pulled the old 256 MB RAM sets under the keyboard and the bottom of the machine. Then I inserted the only 2 GB of RAM into its slot under the keyboard and reassembled it.

  I have a weird problem that I hope you will be able to help me with.
  My T420 came with 1x4Go of ram (below the keyboard) and I wanted to switch to 2 x 4 GB of RAM so even once, I bought exactly the same RAM.

  The two Rams work well by themselves, in the Bay under the keyboard as well as in the Bay under the laptop. The two RAM been tested individually the two RAM slots. The laptop works very well with either the RAM individually in one of the RAM slots.

  BUT if I put them both at the same time, the T420 does not start. It turns on (screen remains black) and instantly switches back off. Without pushing any button, the T420 will then turn itself back on about 3-5 seconds later. This process repeats indefinitely. I don't even see the ThinkPad security screen where you can access BIOS. I changed the RAM autour in slots, but this does not solve the problem either.

  I never had something like this before. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

• Recovery CD does not start

  I have an old IBM ThinkPad R50e (1834-PTG). When I originally bought in 2003, I created a set of recovery 6 CDs I kept this set in a place course and decided today to recover the laptop factory settings. The problem is that the computer won't start any recovery of 6 CDs (does not start other CD bootable without problem). CDs are not empty and contains a directory named "RECOVERY" with a bunch of files that it contains.

  I tried to use specify the CD-ROM drive as first boot device, to use F12 to specify the device, nothing helps.

  How can I use these CD?

  Well, it turns out that there was another drive (surprise) the names "Recovery boot CD. Now, the recovery process begins without any problem.

  OK, this is my story of boredom.  I have a Lenovo T61 Type 6463-5BU, S/N L3-xxxxx.  The hard drive died a few weeks ago, and since then, I have received a replacement drive under warranty, that is the exact same drive type.  We had a backup image of the old system under Norton Ghost and managed to get the image to the new disk once it has been installed.  To do this, we used a utility called OS

  The laptop has a finger print reader, but I was told several times that this has nothing to do with the problem.  So... before I cut off the finger of a person and drag in the player... What am I doing wrong here?

  I've recently updated to macOS Sierra (public version) and everything seems fine, except for allowing to Siri. I tried to enable the system preferences as well as execution of the Siri application in the application. I even tried to 'facilitation' by selecting in the menu bar.
