My ts-tb23l hp dvdwbd dvd drive won't recognise dvd-video.

I have a hp Touchsmart 610 with windows 7 and the dvd player does not read video however it will play music. HP 610-1020 a TouchSmart desktop PC.  any ideas on why this is. brand new unit.

Hello

Normally, it allows you to change 4 times and will remain regardless of the area in the fifth. Many DVD players (home systems) are now free players area (for example, in Australia) but the number of optical drives on the PC / laptops are not. There is a software called AnyDVD which allows you to play any area of the DVD and now comics on the PC / laptop.

Kind regards.

  • Satellite P30-145: the drive won't recognise DVD double layer

I have a Satellite P30-145 with a SupermultiDL DVD player. When I got the PC, I could write DVD double layer with no problems. Now the drive will not recognize DVD double layer at all. Even those from the same box that has worked well before. I use are Verbatim Double layer DVD + R 2.4 x discs.

After a lot of internet research, I have downloaded and run DVDInfoPro. This application has reported that the Player did not support the DVD + RW DL. Very strange!

    Can anyone help? The drive is a carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ - 831S.

    Hi Lan

This disc is certainly DL one, but I can imagine that the drive is defective and cannot calibrate lens in the right position. This model of laptop is more than two years, and if you have used this drive extensively, I can really imagine that the DL function is defective.

What you can do is to clean the lens and see that it will help.

  • Combo DVD - RW drive won't burn a disc

    Hi Mkadv,

    ·         Have what Microsoft Fixit you tried?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: CD-DVD combo drives have two lenses to write CDs and DVDs, respectively. First check with the manufacturer of the computer if the glasses are intact.

Method 2: To diagnose and repair problems with your CD or DVD drive when trying to read or burn media automatically.

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

  • Pavilion DV9008DR Nvidia coprocessor SMU driver won't load

After finding drivers almost everywhere, I met several for the 340 Nvidia nForce / GeForce 6150.  Some are for Vista (from HP), a set for Win7/Vista from Nvidia itself.  All have one thing in common.  The 'coprocessor' remains 'driverless' after the Nvidia installer is done.

Looking at the PCI device ID, is seller 0x10DE (NVidia) device x 0271 coprocessor (nForce System Management Controller).

The driver load without difficulty in XP, but the updated driver won't Win8.

A thought has this load manually through Control Panel Device tool as an update of the driver selected with its .inf file.

It is a driver that this continues to be a complete installation.  If it will not charge, what will be missing.

    Dan-

I do not quite know compatibility mode, but I've done the following with the NVidia 15.49_nforce_winvista_win7_32bit_international_whql.exe driver package that is very similar to sp36079.exe

    1. launch the .exe.  As before, it loaded everything except the NVidia coprocessor driver.

    2. went to the Control Panel Device Manager

3 find the coprocessor and went to properties-> Driver-> update driver.

    4. browse for the file SMU in the .exe 'burst' (including the .inf, .cat, .sys, etc.

    5A accepted.

    6. received the message that this driver installed.

    7. looked in Systedm devices and found nVidia nForce PCI System Management.

8 looked the driver version and found it wasn't NVidia, but Microsoft, Date of 06/21/2006 driver Version 6.2.9200.16384

If something happened, but no idea what it means.  (maybe the driver was already there, but need to Win8 "inviting them to find it?)

  • How can I copy my own DVDs dvd-video on an iMac?

I saved a huge amount of old movies on my reader dvd recorder and now wonder if I can copy so they can still play on the dvd player - an old Panasonic with component cables to connect to my old TV with the large projection in the back [a picture tube?].  I tried to make copies with my new mac that has El Capitan, but it won't work.  If I try to make my own movies via iMovie, they will not play on my old player because he apparently only play movies in dvd-video format [DVD-V], not the new divx format.  Any suggestions?  I tried Googling but can't find an answer.  What is interesting is that the dvd drive on my mac of El Capitan will play my old DVD.  Why they can't be copied?

If they are records of commercial films, then the DRM/copyright protection could be the cause - you are not allowed to copy commercial movies.

  • Error e/s on the insertion of a DVD video disc - Satellite A105-S4284

My mother bought a Satellite A105-S4284 during a stay in the States. DVD - RAM UJ - 841S with her drive is set to 1 in the region for DVD playback, I want to get it on region 2. I told myself I have 4 changes left, but I am unable to change it. He asked a zone 2 DVD to be inserted and I have administrator privileges - the two conditions are met, but it refuses to work. I then tried to see if she could read the disc at all, however try to access it from the browser I get an IO error. I checked the disc with a variety of drives, CD-ROM, CD Audio, the Toshiba installation/config DVD etc. all read fine, but not DVD-video. I deleted the DVD RAM driver, sought of firmware updates (cannot find a suitable) and updates of pilot (impossible to find).

I can't work on why he dislikes the video DVD (I tried a lot of discs), even tried with the Media Express Player playback. Because it reads all other formats of discs, it seems unlikely to be a hardware problem, so I think it's a problem with the firmware, but like I said I couldn't find one.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    BTW happy Christmas

    Hello

Do you have the drive to region 2 now?
This might be a reason for the exploration of DVD-related issues.
It would be very interesting to know if it of possible to explore this DVD on the other computer.
Additional I think lots of original DVDs is safe and supports some kind of encryption and, therefore, it s not able to open it with Solution Explorer.

I put t know why you were not able to change the area by car, but perhaps this has something to do with the operating system installed.
Have you tried to install a new OS from an original CD of Microsoft, and then change the region on the drive?

  • I wonder if anyone is familiar with this type of problem with the help of a Windows Media Player for DVD videos.

    Hello!
I came across a problem with my dvd on my laptop drive. The program that I use on my laptop is Media player from Windows. And the laptop will recognize the DVD and everything, but when it starts to play, it gives me this message from Windows Media Player: "Windows Media Player cannot play video DVDs. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings. »

Now I always use the old Windows XP for my laptop, but I can't seem to understand how to adjust the color quality and lower my screen resolution. Does anyone have a little step by step process that I could follow to do this?

The problem is that Windows XP does not play DVD movies in native mode. You can
have a DVD player, but it can only read DATA DVD at this time. In the order
install a DVD codec to read video DVD discs. First we will
Install this program from Microsoft and run it, and if you have a DVD
Codec, it will appear in the display window. Download this program from
    here:

    http://www.softwarepatch.com/Windows/windowsdvdmpeg.html

If it shows that you don't have a codec DVD installed, then you can
buy one on one of the links on this page:

You have disk problem as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (burn CD & DVD and CD and DVD read).
Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

    Hi Bill,

My mistake, I forgot that your laptop is a slot player.

You should find that any store computer will store a disc, which you can load into the reader who will perform the cleanup - the disc itself was fine on brushes that will clean the lens.  The only point I want to emphasize, is to make sure that when you ask one of these discs, make sure what you say it's for portable optical drive as some are not suitable for the drives in the computer.
