HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: Impossible to activate the scan of the computer, complete the installation of the utility

I'm not able to activate the analysis of my desktop computer or my laptop. I pedaled power the router, printer and computers, ran disk utility and repair permissions, I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled. I received a message that the installation of the HP Officejet Pro 8610 has been completed successfully, but when he goes then HP utility-Setup-HP Officejet Pro 8610, happens to alerts from HP and I get the error message: "a critical error has occurred. Please restart the application, and then try again ' and I am unable to continue. Download and open HP Easy Start are successful but he opens the HP utility at the end and I get the same message once it arrives to alerts from HP.

Opening to the high HP utility-HP Officejet Pro 8610 and clicking on scan settings, Scan of the computer initially appears without the box checked to activate this function and the error message: "the computer Scan is disabled. You can always start the scanning of your computer software analysis - for example, HP scanning "." Click on the button to activate the Scan of the computer generates this error message: "error of Communication. Unable to communicate with the device. Check the cables and the connection parameters. If the problem persists, try restarting your computer and the HP device "."

In the window of the printer, press Scan and the Scan of the computer selection produces the error message: "not found computer. Scanning software HP is required for this feature. If installed, open the HP utility and under settings of scanning, select scan to computer and enable "."

I tried everything suggested, and what I found online to try.  I'm missing something or not doing something correctly?

Thanks for any help!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: impossible to activate web service HP8610

When I first set up my printer, I was able to use the Web Services, but one day, when the printer was old, 9 months after that put under tension/disable web services from my router stopped working!

I could go to print and scan wireless, but web services is more work, so my stautus instant ink is more updated. After getting a dozen emails from Instnt of ink over the 3 months, they finally disabled my printer from printing (no doubt he reactivates if I bought all new ink cartridges for more than $100 all, although I don't trust HP enough to pay as much in case they do not work).

I tried following various instructions in this help forum to reset the ipv4 address, but nothing helped. The printer is a little more than 12 months. My ISP is AT & T who were no help (of course). When I phoned HP while I was in warranty period, HP engineer said it was an ISP problem and nothing was wrong with the printer.

I even tried to connect the printer to my Iphone hotspot, but which allowed either the web connection.

    Suggestions anyone?

OK, let's check how Chrome is set up to print.  (I also have a 8610 and easily print chrome!)

Open any page.  Either type CTRL-P or open the Menu and select 'print '.  Another page should open with the printing options.  What do you see?  Your printer to display by default, or "Save as PDF" by default?

Look at the field "Destination".  Just to make sure that you have selected the right printer, click on the "Edit" button, then see "Local Destinations".  Click on the "Manage" link to see all available printers.

Remember that the right pair has been selected.  Mine shows that "HP Officejet Pro 8610 (network)" and has the green check by default.

Well, I see you using web analytics to the printer rather than the use of the scanning software. There are two ways to analyze which should work a bit better than with a web scan: using the HP or Scan to Email scan software.

To install and use HP Scan (for Windows 10):

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

When you want to analyze, click the icon on your desktop with a name similar to "Officejet Pro 8610". If you click the option under scan your PC should open HP Scan.

To install and use HP Scan (for Mac):

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

When you want to scan, open the folder Applications, Hewlett-Packard and in this folder, open HP scanner (or scan to).

To set up scan to email:

    1. On the printer, click web services icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
    2. If you see Setup, click on Setup, then Accept/Yes.
    3. After the printer prints a page of web services, click applications, and then Scan to Email.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to scan, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610 does not print the files, but other things work

    Hello

I want to install a whole new 8610 to our computer with WIndows 8.1 HP's OfficeJet Pro and I use a USB cable.

I installed everything correctly according to the setting (green controls along the + "full installation") and the printer is set as default (also with the green check mark).

There is communication between the two because I can print test pages (head alignment, etc.) for HP printer app and I can also scan a doc to the PC successfully.

Despite the light the printer in the print menu, when you try to print, I can't any print file from PC to the printer, an email or a Word doc.

And what baffles me, is that I can see the printed file go into the queue for a bit of treatment, then it disappears as if it's done, but it is not an activity of the printer.

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled nothing doesn't.

This should take 10 minutes to Setup, and I just don't understand.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Satellite Pro P300 - impossible to activate the built-in microphone

I bought a Satellite Pro P300 some 2 months and so far so good.

It has a webcam which I really thought that I would have any use for it but now find that I have.

The camera works fine but I cannot activate the built-in microphone.

Can someone point me in the right direction please

    Hello

You will need to start the webcam software if you want to use the internal microphone too.
The point is that the internal MIC is connected with the internal webcam and webcam software handles both devices.
Also check if the internal mic has been correctly enabled in the webcamsoftware

In addition, I would recommend updating the audio driver.

    Best regards

HP Officejet Pro 8625 cannot change the order of printing back to the front and want to change

The Officejet Pro 8600 driver has a 'Page order' option in the driver, and it is compatible with the Officejet Pro 8625.  You can install this driver in point 8.1 of Windows as follows: first download and install the driver Officejet Pro 8600 from HP here.  When the installer asks how the printer will be connected select "ignore the connection at the moment, I'll do it later."  After that go to printer and devices, right click on the Officejet Pro 8625, printer, advanced, pilot, new properties, then select a manufacturer HP (Hewlett-Packard) and select HP Officejet Pro 8600, next, done.  Click the Officejet Pro 8625 properties, general window and in the rear upper part called Officejet Pro 8625 (or what you want the printer named...), OK.  The Page order option will be available in the Advanced Printer Options tab.

  • OfficeJet pro 8610: impossible to be re - connect officejet pro 8610

I have installed and uninstalled scan & PC doctor and all other HP related software several times but nothing helped, it will not be connected to the computer.

I then tried to connect using the USB cable, it recognizes the printer with the sound of connection and say connect again, nice printer but at the moment no use at all, it will be thrown in the garden very soon unless someone can help. Please, I beg you.

I tried to connect with all the different methods, it's IE USB, network and ethernet cable, whenever the connection would launch, go to halfway through, say it can't connect and stop.

Charles 001 mail response was very good, thank you, I am always looking for other positions, and decided to cross and get rid of everything I could find on HP, found some pieces that were not uninstalled, got rid of everything, including a different HP printer that was left from an earlier era.

    Hello

This device is a good old classic. As far as I know that it s about 10 years.
It was delivered with the Win95 and Win98.
Well, I can't give you a solution to your problem because this unit is too old.
You'll be a man of luck even if someone here in the forum knows an answer to your problem. All I can suggest is to check the BIOS. Maybe that here you can activate or change it in addition the battery settings.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: two printers on the same remote network model will not be printed, but local will be

I have two furniture stores that are run on a windows sbs2012. Recently, both off my all in printers are down in the same week. The first was at the location where the server is actually housed. I bought a HP Officejet 8610 and managed to put in place without problem a lot via a wired network connection. So I decided since who went to buy the same model for my remote which is also connected, but it has a wireless access point. I was not able to get anything to print from my main software called profit systems. I can get things to print to the shared remote drive. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but even if connected as long as administrator I get a error that reads "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. I put it up as both just and redirected network and it shows it as ready in the State, but after it clears the queue that nothing prints. I checked firewall settings and all with HP is checked on. I'm pretty computer but I am full of ideas. Help, please!

So after that I lost two days of my time and more than two hours of my time of I.T. guys it came to our attention that the driver IS NOT SUPPORT this model of HP JO 8610 redirected remote office printing! HP really, really?  So we have to install the driver 8600 on the server and local computers to get things to print. Problem solved, but it's just sad that this was the problem.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: Try to install the full software concludes printer, but the IP address is the address of the router, not the printer

I tried several times to remove printer, uninstall the drivers, reboot, reset the printer to the factory, etc. without success.  I even went into the registry and deleted the printer reference as much as I could.

Please note I know how to connect the wireless printer and did successfully to the router with IP 192.168.1.108.   The problem is that the installer will search for a printer on the network and detects the 8610, but it appears with the IP address 192.168.1.1, which, of course, fails to install correctly.

How can I get the dialog box to see the printer with the CORRECT IP ADDRESS?

Well, I gave up trying to connect wireless and connected the printer with an ethernet cable.    Re-installed software that went much smoother, but still showed printer with IP router when you try to add it.   I chose "other devices" and is manually entered IP ethernet.

    Everything works now, including scanning.

I think that the new router (for satellite internet) blocking a port that is required to complete the driver installation.   I had to add a switch to have an additional ethernet port to connect the printer.

It was NOT a good experience.   I had a lot of practice of deleting, downloading, installation, configuration of the HP printer again and again well, therefore perhaps not all a lost cause.
