• Mysterious folder Lightroom files.

  Hello all-

  I just want to preface my question by saying: I am sorry to be the kind of user who expects a quick response / solution and then leave the forum until my next problem. I'm fairly warned with Adobe apps, but I don't think I'm at a point where I could answer other users questions yet.

  Switch, here is some information on my computer:

  I run a 2008 Macbook Pro 5.1 wit 8 GB of ram, 128 GB SSD for my boot drive and a 256GB in my old optical Bay that I use as a storage drive. I have Lightroom and all my apps on this disk "storage" for the storage of large files.

  And here my question:

  Over the last year, I flooded my folder Lightroom file cache. I think that I did of my Lightroom folder to another drive with the opening of the synchronization application. What is a reasonable explanation for what could have happened? I'm also sure about some other files.

  I am aware that I need the following:

  -Corrupted catalogs

  -.lrcat files

  I don't know if I need any other files like "temporary import data" or "repair temporary catalog".

  You can permanently delete the Lr2 and 4 files catalog and Catalog.Previews if you're ABSOLUTELY positive you have upgraded their and no longer need them.  Temporary importation and the TemporaryRepairCatalog are files I've ever seen, but it is probably safe to delete also.  What is in the folder catalogs to corrupt? If it is no longer necessary because you have repaired your catalog that you should be able to remove it also.  You can move these files to another folder temporarily and see if Lr works very well.  If so, then delete them.  I'm glad it works for you.

• Unwanted on the desktop folder

  A new folder is on my desk that contains copies of all other folders located on my desktop. If I didn't put on my desk, it is also copied to this new mystery folder. Do not just throw it in the trash and l see what happens. Anyone has any idea where this comes from and how to stop if come back?

• Rebuild the indexes in Win Explorer: old folder back.

  I rebuild my index every month. When I do, I get an old folder in the My Documents folder. It appears once I do the reconstruction.

  Here's what I do:

  Control-> system and Maintenance-> Indexing Options Control Panel

  Click on the Advanced button

  Re-index selected location: click the Refresh button

  Places that have always been selected for reconstruction are:

  OneNote

  IE

  Start menu

  Users

  The old folder that keeps appearing once completed the reconstruction process is not among the users of--> username--> Documents folder under the location list.

  It is not a big problem for me to remove this old issue of each month. But I would like to know what is happening here in case there is something wrong with my system.

  I use a software CoffeeCup HTML editor. In the window of the preferences of this application, I had the path to the 'default Web site project folder"pointing to the folder that kept reappearing. When I changed the path to an existing folder, I got is no longer this mysterious folder reappears.

• Adobe Media Encoder CS6 crashes when exit

  OS X 10.7.4

  Several types of materials

  Adobe Media Encoder CS6 from Adobe Production Premium CS6 as installed.  NOTE: CS6 has been installed under one user other than the user who is having accident of SOUL.

  Question:

  Open the SOUL.  Encode a file or do not encode a file because the final result is not serious.  Now quit SOUL (shortcut key or file-> exit).  SOUL, then crashes.  Keep in mind that no other program CS6 is affected in this way, just SOUL.

  I came across this problem weeks ago and found a solution that worked.  The fix was to remove one of the many many files adobe creates in your user folder.  The problem now is that I can't find that posting even where was the fix.

  I deleted this "mystery folder" we'll call it and then SOUL CS6 worked well.  The capture was that I had to redo the 'Adobe ID' together in BS sign and re-enter the serial number when I opened one of the other programs.

  Assumptions as to where this file would be so I can delete it again?  I was hoping that others may have run on this same question.  I'll keep looking for the correction and post it back here, if I finally find.

  Try going to "~ \Library\Preferences\Adobe\" and then delete the files 'Adobe Media Encoder' and 'Commons '.

  This put SOUL in default state and remove the media. Personalized presets will be deleted so make sure to save them.

• E-MAIL: E-mail mysteriously leave main folder "sent"?

  I come home late last night having to check an email I sent a month earlier.

  This is normally no problem because I save all my emails sent and received.

  To my horror, when I clicked on the box sent had only 4 emails instead of several hundred! (See screenshot).

  Had I accidentally deleted them in a recent frenzy of trashing?

  After a few minutes, I discovered chicks in "Mail sent" in the section "on my Mac" bottom of the left column (see screenshot).

  Can someone explain how they got there or what's mysterious to you as it is for me?

  I certainly have not consciously move them and no one else has access to my computer.

  By the way, my emails SENT have disappeared at the same time last year, but I never found them on this occasion.  .  .  .  they were probably in this folder all the time!

  Try re-indexing of mailboxes mailbox. This can take some time if you have a lot of mail.

• One of my Office of mysteriously missing folder? !!

  A folder that I had on my desk (with a number of photoshop and jpg files), has apparently disappeared in the air!

  (SOMEONE ELSE HAD FOLDERS DISAPPEAR ON THEM BEFORE?!)

  I tried to search the names of missing files via the Finder and Spotlight, but nothing came on my missing files. I did not remove this file.

  I tried to use some free trial called iSkysoft Date of recovery program, but it will leave you not even get anything, unless you pay a heavy tax. And even then, there was a lot of content to sift through (it was not the name of the original file), so I don't even know if it was there.

  It's very frustrating. I just bought the Mac OS X El Capitan a month ago. I work as an artist, and I CAN NOT have just record mysteriously disappear on me.

  I am trying to familiarize myself with other useful programs, no iCloud help things back up automatically. (I've not used before).

  Also, can someone suggest a perhaps different data recovery program?

  OS X does not magically records and data, I suspect a user has made a mistake. Open the Recycle Bin to see if the folder and its contents is there. If they are then right-click and select set back and continue your work. If they are missing use your Time Machine backup to restore the folder. If you do not back up the computer and the data are not in the trash she is lost and cannot be recovered. That's why TM exists to avoid any data loss. If you do not use it please get an external HD to start to back up your system. If you are not familiar with TM please click on use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support for more information.

• Mysterious mobile folder: Music folder has mysteriously moved into my photo folder

  My Music folder mysteriously moved into my image folder and I can't understand why.  The record is on 34gbs so there is no way I could have accidentally moved on mine without noticing.  Anyone has any idea how it happened and what I can do to prevent it from happening again?

  You may have accidentally dragged - fell into the photo folder.  Move a folder - even that which is several hundreds of gigabytes - only takes about one second (assuming both are stored on the same drive).  This is because the move operation is really just an update a line to the NTFS file system data table: none of the files are actually "moved" the reader is concerned.  Copy, however, takes time because the reader must actually write every file.

  It is most likely.  I would be it back to where you want and see if it happens again.

  Alternative: if it's a library and not a folder: you can check to see if your photo library is actually, in fact, just your music folder content aggregation.  You can open your pictures folder, and then click the link "Includes 2 sites" at the top to change what one or more folders appear in the photo library.

• Why don't I have a "Recently deleted" folder in my Notes?  I'm pretty sure that I've improved my Notes app (I can make bulleted lists and draw).  A note has mysteriously disappeared yesterday and I want to try to get it back.

  An important point missing yesterday... poof!... in the air.  At one point, I used the search field in the Notes and the note missing that presented themselves.  But, now, it disappeared again.  I can't find anywhere.  In the search for a solution, I see that I should have a folder called Notes in "recently deleted".  I don't.  I think I have the improved version of Notes because I can make checklists & draw.

  I looked in all folders.  I have now switched off Notes for all accounts where it had been activated (no Notes existed in these accounts).  On my Mac, on the navigation on the left of the application Notes (files), I: Notes from iCloud, on my Mac and my Notes to gmail.  On my iPhone, the list of files just a pointed iCloud and on my Notes from the iPhone.

  Bottom line:

  To this, I have been for over 2 hours now.  I'm willing to give up the missing note (unfortunately), but really want to know where my "Recently deleted" folder is located (don't know if I'd ever).  If you tell me to reset my phone or digging through backups as a last resort, please explain step by step and let me know what I could lose it making.

  Update: I have just disabled my gmail account note on my Mac so that both (phone and laptops) Notes apps list the same folders... for only iCloud + on my Mac / On my iPhone.

• Attempt to delete data of mystery in my Temporary Internet Files folder

  Hello!  I try to get disk space and try to clear my Temporary Internet Files folder. When I delete it, it shows that I have only a few (3-4 k of total data) cookies in there, which is good. However, when I click on 'Properties' for the entire folder, it shows that I have 4.4 GB of data in this folder. I open the folder and don't see it anywhere. I click on select all and delete, and the data is still there.

  I managed to see some of what is here when I compress me the folder (which has since been unpacked). It's pretty much just a bunch of old files flash, Web sites randomly.  How I can see them when I look at the file and how can I get rid of these? I unchecked the box "Show hidden files", but that does nothing.

• Mystery in the C drive folder

  I have a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and my partner has a Netbook with Windows 7 Starter.

  I noticed a strange folder that contains several other files on the C drive of the Netbook.  I enclose two images of screenshot of the main folder and the files it contains.  These files is not accessible - access denied.  I have no similar folder in the C drive of my laptop.

  Can someone please tell me what these files are and what they serve?

  

  The folder is a temporary folder / cache is created by an installation. To delete the folder, the owner of the folder and the content, and then proceed to deletion.

• Sudden and mysterious my folder data loss

  I just opened the D drive on my laptop where I had a folder with all of my valuable data which I have been collecting for years and I was surprised to not see a single small file, on nearly 2 GB of data containing all like documents, photos, music and other files.

  Initially I don't think because it's never happened before. I restarted my laptop, very expensive computer hoping it's just a little snag and data would again, but he didn't come back and I had a minor heart attack because all this data means a lot to me.

  I searched the laptop together with different key words of lost files, but found only a handful of broken shortcuts.

  You made a backup of your data "useful"?  If so we can help restore you.  If this is not the case, the chances of recovery are slim.  You can try an application called "recuva", but even this will restore all the data.

  Hi all.  I'm definitely someone Android, but my two sons are big fans of Apple.  My youngest son who just turned 11 years old has an iPhone 6 Plus.  For a boy his age, he deals with amazing care.

  It has become recently folded, which often causes a white band at the top of the screen and there is a noticeable shift from the hole for the sim card.  How the elbow he got a mystery.

  I did my research, which seems to suggest that it is the result of a design flaw, but that's a guess on my part. Her phone is out of warranty, and as far as I can tell, his only real option Apple is a $329 out of warranty replacement.

  I realize that the people who devote their time and information here do not speak for Apple, but I thought that the perhaps some might have had a recent experience with Apple about it.  It would be useful if someone could give me an idea of their understanding of how Apple takes care of this for phones that are out of warranty.  I don't know if it makes sense to go to the Apple store and see what they will do or if it is a problem with a clear answer.

  I also found devices that supposedly will fix the problem and I have seen some videos of supposed solutions.  If anyone has some tips on the State of the art regarding this topic, I'd appreciate any help.
